Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Velop AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, coverage, and setup, frequently citing its simple installation and strong signal. Many also praise the system's range and performance, reporting consistently reliable connectivity. However, some users experienced connection issues and noted the relatively high price. A limited number of Ethernet ports was also a recurring point of feedback.

Very happy with this system. It's doing everything I had hoped it would, most importantly telling me how many times a day my xfinity service isn't connected. It does a great job of identifying all the devices connected to my system. It was a super easy setup. Makes the wifi in the house perform much better than my previous product did.

    Huge difference in WiFi coverage

As an IT Consultant, I need strong WiFi through out the home. This was my first mesh WiFi and I couldn't be happier. The 2 Velop nodes cover all 3 floors of our 2400 sq ft house with strong signals in every point in the house. I switched from a non-mesh wifi with an extender to this Velop system. The biggest change is that I can now move tablets anywhere in the house without having to connect to the main vs. the extender. Plus the throughput is the same no matter which node I'm on, with the old system I got less than half the speed when connected to the extender. The nodes are stylish and can fit most decors. It's super easy to setup. I love the app. The app is where you perform the setup AND control the wifi (can turn wifi on/off, including guest wifi). Absolutely, highly recommend this to someone thinking of a mesh wifi system.

We purchased this item in an another attempt to obtain good, fast wifi. This time it worked. We have a large two story house and the wiring for the internet is upstairs in a closet. No matter which wireless router we purchased we still were unable to get coverage in each room. The Velop works exactly as advertised AND it is very easy to set up

I got this velop system to increase my internet signals. It worked well. Even though my home is just at 2000sq ft which it says only needs 1 node, I needed more. I had purchased the 2 piece set but had issues and had to up that to 3 nodes. I love that these signals carry to each node which has 2 ethernet ports to hardwire devices to. This gives a hardwire conection at wireless convenience. My home needed so many nodes because of how the home construction is.

Works Great If Master Is Set Up As A Router

I’m getting 300 megs both down and up to and from my iPhone on AT&T’s 300-meg fiber plan. The Linksys master unit (it’s the master only because it’s the first one you set up) is hardwired directly to each of the two other Linksys units. (Mine are not daisy-chained.) The master is assigned a 192.168.1.xx IP address by the AT&T router, and the master then in turn acts as a router to assign 10.xx.xx.xx IP addresses to the two downstream Linksys units. So you end up with two parallel networks. I have nothing hardwired to the Linksys (10...) network except the three Linksys units and everything else goes to the AT&T (192...) network, and as a result all of the Wifi connections have 10... addresses and all of the hardwired connections have 192... addresses. Be sure to power off all of your switches after setting everything up so that the two routers can assign appropriate new IP addresses if needed. The Linksys handoff algorithms aren’t as smart as they could be, but apparently a major software upgrade is being planned.

This system works great. I have full converage on 4 floors with a total of 6000 sq. ft. The house has plaster walls, all brick with a slate roof. I only needed 3 units. I also have coverage outside the house, too. Set up was easy and it guided you for the best placement of the units. Only had to by a modem for this system and it worked great.

I was having intermittent connection issues with my exterbal alarm and camera systems and wanted something that would extend wi-fi coverage outside and inside my home. The Linksys Velop 3-unit system was easy to set up and did exactly what I'd hoped it would. Quite pricy but a great solution when extended wi-fi coverage is needed.

This access point is very easy to setup and configure. I like the ability to be able to do the Speedtest from the linksys app. The app is great for visually seeing what devices are connected and gives a historical view of devices that have connected in the past. Secured wifi connection is easy to share via text or email from the app.

I needed a new WiFi router since my apple routers were not able to give me good speed or coverage in my house. I pay for 100/100 internet and was only getting 30Mbps with the Apple setup. Once I upgraded to this system I was able to his speeds of about 95Mbps throughout my entire house. Highly recommend it

I had initially purchased a two pack system but needed more coverage given the construction of my house. I considered a single but the 2 pack was more economical. Made the purchase and it was very easy to link with the existing network. Now I have good coverage in all locations, including the patio.

I was having all kinds of problems with my last router and modem. I wasn't able to use my tablet outside on the patio or downstairs. Now with this new router it's literally invisible. I never have to think about anything - it just works - whenever and wherever I need it. What a nice change. I would highly recommend this product.

We bought this because we have a significant number of devices and a ~100 foot distance between our main house and the in law suite. Well the devices occasionally connected over that distance, it was a regular and the speed was minimal. In the main house however, where we had to these. There was very good Wi-Fi coverage, however the speed is not as fast as our six-year-old Apple airport express. Which was very disappointing . Additionally, there are only two ethernet ports per device, which limits our ethernet capabilities greatly. Furthermore, if you are too quickly traverse. The distance between the different towers for the system, there will be a drop and connection. It didn't seem seamless to me, as both my laptop and phone would lose Internet for a brief second, and then regain it when connected to the next tower

      Hi,

This is a very weird behavior of our Velop system. There is a possibility that the child nodes are too far from the parent node that's why the performance has been affected. If possible, try to bring them closer together to ensure that they have a good signal from each other. Then observe their performance after the changes.
