Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Velop AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, coverage, and setup, frequently citing its simple installation and strong signal. Many also praise the system's range and performance, reporting consistently reliable connectivity. However, some users experienced connection issues and noted the relatively high price. A limited number of Ethernet ports was also a recurring point of feedback.

3 story coverage for the streaming family

We are cord cutters in the sense that we stream live TV, netflix, hulu, amazon, etc. I also work at home through a VPN. So we need a reliable connection that can max our purchased speeds. We have about 15 devices on the wi-fi at all times. This was a great purchase for our two story home. The router is in the basement. I put one of the satellites on each level and used the ethernet port in the back to hardline our streaming boxes (appletv, roku, and firetv). Everything else is on the wifi. I was able to easily set up device prioritization through the app. I had a small issue setting it up myself, but the customer support was awesome and walked me through each step until it worked flawlessly. I'm also happy to know I'll get 3 years of support versus my old netgear that only would help if I paid premium after the first few months. This is a pricey unit, but I'll pay more to know it is going to work at all times.

I replaced my 6 year old dual band wifi modem with the Velop. I am extremely happy with the coverage throughout my home. No dead spots anywhere to be found. The installation and management of the settings is very simple when done through the Linksys App.

The Linksys system does a good job of giving a consistent Wi-Fi signal throughout the entire house and provides steady transmission of data. The set up was much easier than I had imagined and did not take long to put everything in place

Setup was easy (with the Linksys app on my phone). Ran into one snag with the last node and had to do it twice. Since install (3 weeks ago) not a single problem. Rated 4 stars due to cost but performance alone would have earned 5 stars.

This wi-fi system is easy to set up, provides more reliable coverage without a wi-fi extender or repeater, and takes up less space. The fact that each unit and all connected devices can be monitored from a cell phone is an added plus

It worked great for Comcast for a couple years then it just stopped. Did resets before for power outages and rearranging but couldn’t seem to get it up and running the last time.

Bought it to build a multipoint network in my house. Love the HomeKit integration. App is nice enough and customer support is helpful. Been using it for a month now with no issues. Very pricey when not on sale.

Great router and coverage. I have no dead spots anywhere in my 1100sqft apartment. Speeds between nodes are excellent, about a 30% drop from the furthest node to the 1st node. I would definitely recommend it.

WiFi is so fast and signal is strong now. Very easy to setup! Getting about 110 mbps download speed which is a little faster than what I pay for and full strength signal throughout our entire house (about 2300sf)

We have a home gym on the back of our garage that is kind of far from the house, too far to get a good WiFi signal from our router in a closet in the center of our house. I've tried using a WiFi extender, but the signal was degraded (even tho it was connected via ethernet) and we had to switch which WiFi network to connect to every time we went out to the gym and then back into the house. I bought this Linksys Velop system last November and it works great! I have the main node in the center of the house, the second node in the basement and the third node out in the home gym. Now we get a great signal everywhere. And no need to switch networks. Velop support has been great as well when I was having a problem with one of the nodes (turned out to be a bad ethernet switch and nothing wrong with the Velop).

This Linksys Velop system (base plus one client) was so easy to set up using the Linksys App. I'm using a wired connection - everything very smooth. Speed in my Family room (near the client node) has jumped from 10-15 MBPS to nearly 100 MBPS using 802.11ac device.

I replaced my Linksys 1900AC router which has served my will over the past three years. My speeds decreased significantly as I moved away from the part of my home where the router lives. Like many people, we have added burdens to out wi-fi system with new smart switches and speakers. In shopping for a new router, I looked at the reviews of PC Magazine and they had many good things to say about the Velop Mesh system. I elected to buy the system with two towers and placed the second one where I found the signal weakest. My internet provider gives me over 100 GB at the modem constantly, and now I see no less than 90gb, in the furthest reaches of my home including my patio and garage, which were out of range for the 1900AC. Very satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone, replacing a router in their home.

Previously, I had a Ubiquiti installation, but it lacked coverage and required everything to be wired. That meant sections of my home not accessible to ethernet had poor coverage and it was rather expense to remedy. The Velop has done a great job of fixing those issues. I can wire 2 of the three nodes and let the third use the dedicated network. Now all areas of my home, including the entire acre lot, are not blanketed with a strong wifi signal. The biggest downside is the slow web UI or phone app to manage the product. They overlap on a lot of functionality, but are organized differently or are missing certain data. For example, the phone app allows you to see which devices are connected to a particular hub, but that's not available in the web UI. I also find things lacking like data usage tracking, node signal strength and logging.
