The cable company stopped supporting their WiFi amp So we had to buy a replacement. This works better than anything ever offered by the cable company. There are no dead zones on our property which is almost 2 acres. Very Pleased!

Was a little skeptical about this given the price and the promise. Have to say that set up was pretty easy and it works as advertised. Three units cover a 5400 sq/ft house pretty well though one more would be perfect... Management via an app is new but works well.

I've purchased latest edition wireless AC router from every major brand over the last 3 years. Most had radios that burned out. Some randomly lost connectivity. I have been using an Airport Extreme for over a year now and it's been solid until I had a need for upnp. I bought the Netgear Orbi 1 week before the Velocity and it spontaneously dropped Internet like all Netgear devices ive had before it, so that was quickly returned. I've had the Velocity in for a month now and it's been steady so far. Good signal with 3 deployed across 4300 Sq ft. and 1-1/2 floors. I have difficulty rating anything this early on but will give if 4 stars for now since it's had no failures. It falls short where I expected to be able to hard wire all 3 units but cannot, and it doesn't have as flexible of parental controls as other Linksys models of the past.

      Hi, TheToolEA,

It’s nice to know that you’re experiencing the expected Wi-Fi coverage of the Velop system. The three nodes can be connected together wired via Ethernet. Please send us an email at [email protected] so that our Escalation Engineers can discuss more details about this set up. You can also give us a call at 800-986-0518 anytime.

      Regards,

We have an older home. 2700 sq ft including basement. And an 800 sq ft detached garage about 15' from the house. Home is built on a bluff and we've had horrible cell service inside our home with it's aluminum siding and radiant backed insulation. Our upstairs children's bedrooms had horibble wifi reception from our Netgear router. So we finally bit the bullet and spent the extra coin on the Velop 2 pack to see how it goes. BB had it on sale, so it was a steal. And less than buying the three pack if we wanted to purchase a single individual velop to add on later. Coverage is great through the house now, including the side yards and the detached garage with only the 2 pack. We have to use wifi calling due to the poor reception and now it's crystal clear. At times, it lags during peak hours. But that's mainly to the full coverage for our gaming children upstairs now. Highly recommend!

I have a shop 86ft from the house and tried several ways of getting WIFI out to it. The salesman at BB told me this would work and boy was he right . This is great coverage and distance , easy to set up. Have not had 1 issue.

I moved from a single WI FI router to the mesh system. The system works great and handles/balances load to all my devices. I've also put one unit in my home office which is a separate building and signal stays strong and allows me have my IP phone plugged in as well. Setup was simple and took me less than 45 minutes. A lot of the time was spent waiting for the units to talk to each other for setup purposes. I did have an internet outage 12 hours recently that caused the units to go offline. I had to reconnect unit 1 and then it communicated to the other units quickly and I was back up and running. I recommend the Linksys Velop system - it has worked flawlessly for me (as long as Xfinity doesn't go down)

Easy to set up and superb packaging. Performance is a huge improvement from the single router we had before. We now get perfect connectivity throughout house (including basement) and outside on the deck even though the units are all indoors. One issue though was that the two non-main nodes would disconnect on occasion requiring me to reconnect. However, this no longer happens at all after an automatic update to the firmware. So, I recommend turning those automatic updates on. It would also be nice to tell a device to connect to a particular node. However, getting good connectivity despite this feature not being present.

Fairly easy to set up. Need patience to wait for the firmware update. The wi-fi coverage is fabulous. Kicked offline a couple of times but I am not sure if it is VELOP or our provider causing the problem. Reboots easy after the modem is powered off and on again.

Originally I was skeptical but I read the reviews and wanted to try it out myself. I CANNOT BELIEVE THE DIFFERENCE THAT THE VELOP MAKES IN STREAMING! This is so crazy! Loving this product! We have a 2,200 Sq ft home w/ approx. 10-15 different devices running at any given time. Works perfectly and streaming jumped 76.34 Mbps download from my old router to 227.66 Mbps download on the Velop! CRAZY!!

Speeds are good when it works. My area gets power outages several times a month during the hot summer. Problem is, is the Velop system wont reconnect to the modem after a power outage. I always have to sit and mess with the Velop system to get it to reconnect taking up to 1 hour to get it working again. Rebooting everything 20 times. For 400 bucks, the thing should be serving me ice cream every night, along with what its supposed to do! I give up with this system. Looking to find a better solution.

      Hello Kirk,

The Linksys Velop should not take that long to boot up after a power outage. To help optimize its performance, make sure that it's running on the latest firmware version. Also, to help you further with this matter, please email us at [email protected] along with the link to this review and your phone number; we'll hand you over to our Escalation Engineers.

Large house. 4 levels. Coverage everywhere including basement. Vast improvement over previous router. I was interrupted while installing. Instructions were not clear about resuming installation. But common sense led me to do the right thing (add a new unit).
