Have been a customer of xfinity for a long time now. And I must say the WiFi signal in our some SUCKS. So I’ve been looking into a while home WiFi system. Purchased Linksys and I must say NO more weak signal and awsome speed.

I bought these along with a MR8300 mesh router to fill in some WIFI dead spots in my house. In the middle of my house is a large masonry triple chimney with two fireplaces covered on three sides with bluestone. WIFI signal doesn't go through it, nor through the 12 inch foundation walls, including the one that runs between the basement and garage. The router is over the garage, so I had good WIFI there, but none in the basement, the bottom back porch off the basement, or the back yard, and a weak signal in the other end of the house. So I put one in the other end of the house which is over the basement, one about 20 feet from the router which gets the signal around the fireplace, and one on the main level screened back porch which covers the lower porch and back yard. Yes, the one in the screened porch is operating outside of the environmental specs (I'm in upstate NY), but no problems so far. It's the only way to get a signal in the back. I tried streaming HD video and walking into my previous dead spots while watching the app to see which node my laptop was connected to. It seamlessly switched around without any video glitches. I waited a month before writing a review so I could assess the reliability, as some reviewers have had problems. So far, I have had none. I don't have any other signals around me to interfere with things either though. After a power outage everything boots back up fine and reconnects without intervention. All of my nodes are connecting directly to the router, so your experience may be different.

I am VERY PICKY about internet speeds and coverage in my home. I want BLAZING FAST WIFI in every corner of the house and outside. If you can download an APP and follow easy prompts...that is all you need to install. 1.Open the box 2. Download the APP and 3. Follow the directions. I set up the best WIFI I have ever had (and I DID SPEEDTESTS ) in every corner of the house and outside. It took less than 20 min. I would HIGHLY recommend this system. EASY to set up. movable and expandable. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!

A great home wireless system. The set-up process was very easy and it stepped me through the installation set-up with a simple step-by-step process. The system works as advertised and covers the house with a single network regardless of the node you are connected to. The cell phone app does not allow for configuration of parental control and the refresh of connected devices doesn't always work. Technical support was very good and showed me workarounds for this while they're fixing the app.

I recently made the decision to move off of our old Google Wifi (original version, not the new Nest). After researching other mesh products based on features and customer ratings, I went with the Linksys Velop Tri-Band 3 pack. We're in a 1,500 sq. ft. ground floor apartment with 3 bedrooms so I set up the Velop and placed the units throughout the apartment approximately 30-40 feet apart separated by multiple walls. Setup was a breeze and earned a hearty "huzzah" and a cold beer upon completion. Unfortunately after a few weeks we started experiencing issues where a random access point would drop, start flashing red, then eventually come back on line. This happens around once every week now but since my wife and I are working from home during pandemi-corona-pocalypse, this leads to extensive cursing/weeping/gnashing-of-teeth. Parental controls were another deciding factor in going with the Velop and while they do seem to work most of the time, there have been occasions where a device that is schedule to have internet access and is showing as "on" cannot access the internet. This hasn't happened frequently to cause a household revolt, but it's worth noting. All in all the Velop is a good product with solid performance, robust features, and nearly effortless setup. I almost gave it 3 stars due to the random AP drops, but I'm in a good mood today so I'm going with 4 stars. It's got a good beat and you can dance to it.

Went with this option after significant research and a recommendation from an IT friend. We had our floors replaced upstairs where our modem is and for some reason the subflooring that was used was like aluminum foil, and blocked all signal to our downstairs. With the three units, I was able to position one at the router, one at the top of the stairs, and one at the bottom of the stairs in line of sight. It cleared up all downstairs issues, and my bandwidth is more than before the floor work going through the floor.

The Linksys Velop is absolutely awesome. My last two routers were excellent. They were high end and I was happy with them. The one problem I always had was that my modem and router are in the basement. So, for devices upstairs we would get dead spots and weaker signal. The Velop 100% solved this problem. Without question. I now get 150 mbps upstairs in ALL the rooms at full signal strength. I am so pleased with this product. Pros- Easy setup Nice Design Coverage is amazing Linksys App worked really well for me Small portable nodes are great. Cons- You need a phone or other device for set up. Could be an issue for some. Each node has a larger than expected power brick. Not that big of a deal for me. A bit pricy but worth it.

After over an hour, my tech guy couldn't get the 2nd and 3rd nodes running. The next day setup was easy for me. 20 minutes tops. Built-in speedtest always seems exaggerated on DL because ST at any individual wifi-connected device is always much slower. Wish the app showed current thru-put on each device like on NG's latest routers. Also wish the app also drew a star map like the NG R9000 product. Bottom line is 1000% better than Comcast's built-in router and that was my goal.

It was a little tricky to set up the first node but the next two were a breeze. But it could have been from my secondary router interfering with them. I live in a small apartment so the three nodes are a little over kill and the nodes so close together can make some devices lag because they are trying to a stay connected to the initial node and not the closest node even though it gets full signal. Not a big issue speeds are still fast. I get 250 gbs/sec on my last node which is nice.
