Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Velop AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, coverage, and setup, frequently citing its simple installation and strong signal. Many also praise the system's range and performance, reporting consistently reliable connectivity. However, some users experienced connection issues and noted the relatively high price. A limited number of Ethernet ports was also a recurring point of feedback.

It routes wifi into our suspended garage but the signal is weak even in rooms that are not separated by the concrete walls. When we were unable to rest units on our own, we called customer services, which worked with us to successfully complete resets.

Originally had just 2 pods and that was perfect for the last 2 years. But now I’ve installed 7 Ring Floodlight cameras around the house and I need total Coverage. These 3 added to my 2 is just perfect. Plus the 3 packs is on a $70 discount!! Yes it’s not level 6 but level 5 for me is good enough. Go for it to add on or your first Mesh!

I used this for my parents. They are rural and the only place they can have the antenna for their wireless internet signal is a shop 75 yards behind their house. I put 1 unit in the shop and 2 in their house and for the most part it works. It occasionally loses signal on the first long jump when a vehicle drives in between, but it has been much better than what they previously had.

This is the second set of 3 nodes we have purchased for our house since last March. They couldn't be easier to set up, and they work great. Our wifi capabilities in our home have increased tremendously. No problems with online teaching with multiple people streaming at once, and we only have the lowest tier of internet capacity. Highly recommend!

I went back and forth on whether to give this four or five stars. It most certainly gets five stars in the "value" category - you won't find a better quality, mesh system than this. The setup is extremely easy, and the front-end software for the mobile app is sleek, simple, & easy to navigate - and gives more options/settings than most. The ONLY aspect that had me considering 4 stars(my true rating would be 4.8 if possible), is this system's "fragility" - for lack of a better term - when it comes to back-hauling. Don't get me wrong, the simple setup applies even to back-haul setup(hard-wiring nodes together in a daisy-chain formation). However, as others have mentioned, you do NOT want to experience a power outage if you set it up this way! Twice we've had a bad thunderstorm knock out power since I got this system, and twice I've had to completely start over from scratch. That's not fun when you have modem->main node->smart switch ->child node->child node 2. For some reason this system comes back up seemingly without fault, but starts to error out soon after. Nevertheless, as compared to the overall price, value, performance, options, etc? This is a fantastic buy!! *Love that I am able to add other child nodes, should I want to, in the future too!

This was very easy to install and does what it’s meant to do. I get a very strong signal now no matter where I am in the house and connection speeds are almost 4x as fast as they used to be on all of our devices. No longer have to compete for wi-fi either, as none of our devices get booted from the internet anymore. Overall very happy with purchase.

The Velop system did require a call to the support team to install, but the representative was extremely patient and helpful! This 3-tower system fixed the problems with dropped Zoom calls, Webex meetings, and multiple people working from home. I would recommend this system to resolve similar connection issues in your home!

    Your Home Network on Steroids

Words cannot express the difference this system made for my home network over my previous Linksys EA3500 wireless router. I had previously tried to replace my old router with one of the new 8 antenna, super-duper awesome routers that promise faster speeds and further distances, only to find that while the speeds did seem to be faster, the coverage in my home was not as good. The local Best Buy Rep suggested these and since I was already trying a router that was nearly $400, the cost was not that much more for the VELOP system. Setting up the VELOP system was easy and I have a large portion of my home that is hard wired. This did require the use of a small 8-port switch since my existing router had 4 network ports included and the VELOP system only has one. No big deal and I already had a switch. They are inexpensive if you do not. Once setup, the coverage area is very impressive. I was looking to cover my front deck and my rear deck, two areas that had previously had no coverage, and some of the furthest areas in my home had spotty signal. I do have a 1,400 SQ FT basement and a 3,600 SQ FT upstairs area, all on one level. The new VELOP system covers my entire home, my entire front yard, my entire back yard and most likely both of my neighbors houses on either side of me. I might have been able to get away with the two module Linksys VELOP system but I could not be happier with the one I purchased. Speeds are full anywhere in the coverage area. I test using Speed Test on my iPhones as well as my laptops. Well worth the investment as many families move to more and more wireless devices in their home and streaming content.

The Linksys Velop is a sleek, efficient wi-fi system that provides seamless coverage to your entire home. The package arrives with minimal setup and straightforward instruction: download the Linksys app, connect to your current router and/or modem configuration, and then simply follow the two or three steps to connect. The system has three nodes to place in separate areas of your home. The recommendation is to place them out in the open, and they look stylish enough to do so, but I ended up hiding them in various corners and nooks out of sight. My coverage did not take any hit. My home is less than 2000 sq. ft, well within the capable 6000 sq. ft. coverage advertised. The system works as advertised. As soon as I switched over, the difference was noticeable. Coverage in the furthest area from my router is as strong as it is sitting next to it. The app gives you the option to prioritize up to three devices, though with more than 10 items in use, none of these devices are experiencing any noticeable dropoff. The Velop is simple to setup and provides amazing wi-fi to your full house. Highly recommended for any household or business that relies on seamless coverage. Full disclosure, I received this product for my honest, unbiased review.
