Great home net system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I may have a small home but the Linksys home WiFi system works great. I had a Linksys modem and extenders but lousy WiFi coverage. This new Linksys Velop system has 100 percent coverage thru out whole house. Money well spent.

works as advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All the reviews said this was the top rated nest system and, so far, it’s been great. It was so easy to install and it was awesome from the beginning. I can now stream movies in my living room and can now cut the cord.

Easy setup and great coverage.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are confused by model numbers, the single Velop is the AC2200, the 2-pack is the AC4400, and the 3-pack is the AC-6600. The tri-band allows the velop units to communicate on a backplane or the 3rd band, which gives the use the 2.4 and 5.0 bands for internet access. A great feature of the Velop mesh wifi is the daisy chaining, so your mesh connection can go 1, 2, 3 rather than a spoke system, where to have 1-2 and 1-3. I use the 3-pack for client's that have large, multi-floor homes that are not wired for Ethernet. For business usage, I recommend wired access points, but for home use, the Linksys- Velop Tri-Band is a great option.

Wifi coverage is great but having bandwidth issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to install and the coverage spans across the house and all the way down street but despite the solid connection to the wireless network I am experiencing bandwidth issues. When I run a speed test in the app it shows the speed from the modem but when I run a test using speedofmeDOTcom it shows a SIGNIFICANT difference. Despite how I adjust settings I cannot seem to improve the throughput over wireless. I am still investigating this and expect it is some sort of configuration issue on my part but it has been a bit of a headache. Now... to be fair; I am IT and have high expectations for the bandwidth that I pay for. For most users this product will exceed expectations.

Posted .Hi Mason,
The speed test results between the App and the third party site caught our attention and we'd appreciate if you will get in touch with us so we can check if this has something to do with your Velop's settings. Please provide more details at [email protected] with your contact information and the link to this post for easy reference. One of our Escalation Engineers will get in touch with you and sort this out.

Works well
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was getting low Wi-Fi signal in most parts of my house and experiencing frequent disconnects in the evening while kids were online gaming and I trying to stream Netflix. A friend recommended the Linksys-Velop AC2200. Setup was easy, I now have a strong signal throughout the house, and not experiencing any issues with disconnects during busy periods. The only negative is that after power outages it does not easily recover. I'm always having to manually reset one of the nodes in order for it to connect. Other than that, I am very happy with my purchase.

Easy to set up.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to set up. Called it my old Wi-Fi name and used the same password so all of my devices connected to it right away. I can pick up a good signal 500 feet away from the closest tower in my house.

The very best home Wi-Fi system ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a Wi-Fi system because of my very large house. Because of the three nodes it covered the whole square area of my house perfectly. Actually, the Wi-Fi system nodes increased my band with and download and upload speed.

Working OK, Great Linksys Cust. Serv.
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After help from Linksys CS, got Mesh wireless working. Still need to check and/or change parameters to optimize operation. Wireless speed is not 100% of source as Linksys claims, but hopefully can be increased by optional changes. "Issue" of intermittent dropouts (from linked blue LED to searching yellow LED still present). Unknown cause of symptom. Still need to test on wireless node in upstairs location, to confirm whole-house operation. Overall, this mesh system appears to be working, including Ethernet output to TV. Drawback is the high price of almost $500. Might not purchased but not for redemption of BestBuy $400 credit.

Great and easy to set up / use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great product. It was extremely easy to set up and use. I love the device priority on the app. We have so many devices it is nice to be able to make my tablet a priority over the Kids streaming videos.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was having so much problems getting the right device for wifi coverage for my 5,000 sq ft house. I've tried extenders and 2 routers, which didn't help. Really recommend for anyone needing more wifi coverage band.

Excellent Performance at a Very High Price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Presentation The 3-pack arrived in a large flip-top box and contained everything needed to plug in & set up the mesh network. Not anywhere near diminutive and clutter free as the Google Wi-Fi three pack but to be fair, these Velop nodes are quite a bit bigger and bigger for a good reason. It was nice to see the inclusion of an Ethernet cable for the primary node and an adequately long one at that. The Velop node towers are medium in stature but simple & elegant in shape & color. The activity LED is on the top and not as annoying as the band of light that wraps around on the Google pucks. The units feel solid in the hand, with great rubber pads and a large access pass-through for any cable feeds to the power jack and the 2 Ethernet ports. Initial Setup Setup was simple and straightforward. After connecting the first unit into your modem or existing router via a CAT cable you simply bring up the Linksys app to initialize the first node, after which, you simply run through the setup steps for the additional devices. Like the competition, the app uses a combination of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signals to communicate to the mesh nodes. Compared to the Google app, the Linksys ‘Link’ app goes through the motions more slowly and appears to stall or freeze up at times, failing to demonstrate the smooth polish of other offerings. In one instance of going through the setup I had to power everything down and restart because the timeout period was extending much too long and I didn’t have the confidence to wait longer to see if thing would actually recover automatically. We’re talking 10+ minutes. Internal Configuration These aren’t your standard faire routing devices and with that in mind, you’ll need to utilize the Android or iOS mobile apps to bring it all together and setup the particulars. The Linksys app gives you all the same feature sets you would get when communicating to their standard faire routers, from password setting to channel assignment to parental controls. There are additional controls for device prioritization, guest network and security type. Nothing of importance seems to be missing from these devices except for an overall Wi-Fi scheduling tab – which was a disappointment but no different than what Google left out. There is a ‘channel finder’ function that seeks to optimize the settings but in the 4 weeks I demo’d this system, I still observed channel overlap to my hosting router’s channel assignment. I’ll note that the channel overlap appears to have little to no effect on the system’s ability to provide strong connectivity. Each node tower has 2 Ethernet ports, so if you’re someone who has the need to do physical connections to more than 1 device nearby to the primary ‘node’ or more than 2 devices down-stream, you’re going to need to add a switch. Like the Google Wi-Fi, there are no USB ports for localized storage enhancements. Bummer. Overall the setup was pretty easy to run through, I just wish Linksys would have focused on making the user experience a bit more smooth and verbose. Hopefully in a future update … Performance The Velop Wi-Fi mesh system quickly adapted to the existing network present in my home, automatically selecting channels near or ‘around’ those that were present by way of my Linksys 9500 max stream router. When I went into my 9500 and forced different static channel assignments, even in the more congested bands, the Velop mesh automatically reassigned. On a few occasions the mesh would overlap with competing channels of my primary network. In my mind, the channel assignment adaptives need a little work to mitigate the possibility of channel overlap but with that said, performance of Velop mesh was still strong and uninterrupted. This kit adheres to the Linksys defined ‘Cascade’ mode of operation right out of the box. Brilliant. As for overall performance, and having already mentioned the less than optimal channel assignment, these bad boys still provide some of the best and strongest connections I’ve ever experienced. I didn’t encounter any random disconnects or perceivable lost connections in 30 days of testing time – and the speeds were always at or near the quality of the broadband coming into the house. Excellent. My home has more challenging wall construction with ~2000 sq/feet of living space… so your mileage may vary. All in all I would say that this system should satisfy the most demanding of needs for broadened coverage throughout a large to very large home with the least amount of hurdles. Summary I’ll economize my use of words – Once you’ve braved through the setup, these things smoke the competition on the metrics of ‘quality of connection’ and the maintenance of speed. If money is no object, because these are not inexpensive in the three pack, this is the system you want to pick up if a powerful mesh is your ultimate goal...Linksys just needs to work on the flow of the app’s initialization of the parent and the child nodes Pros: Ease of setup. Provides strong, reliable, fast broad coverage. Small, elegant profile with unobtrusive lighting Cons: Premium price. No aggregate wireless ‘scheduler’. Limited Ethernet expansion and no USB support. The mobile app needs a lot of polish to make it smooth, response and verbose.
