Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Velop AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, coverage, and setup, frequently citing its simple installation and strong signal. Many also praise the system's range and performance, reporting consistently reliable connectivity. However, some users experienced connection issues and noted the relatively high price. A limited number of Ethernet ports was also a recurring point of feedback.

Was having problems with the present WiFi extenders and having to change the set up often. Now with the mesh system no issues. I have the two Triband towers. Easy to set up

The technician was very helpful in helping me choose my Linksys system. Very easy to set up using the Linksys app. I have had no streaming connection issues since it was installed.

I purchased this router 1 1/4 years ago and had good solid internet access in my home and yard ( 2 story home ~3000 sq feet with basement). All was going along well until recently. I have been experiencing frequent drops ( TP smart plugs seem to lose connection quite a bit). Then my 2nd story gym node loses connection from the mesh system. Will not reconnect after 4 attempts then the next day it suddenly works again. Multiple resets and frustration is had by all.. but mostly me. Then my basement node will not connect and I can not get it to re establish connection so I offloaded and reset to factory. That did it for about 2 hours. It is currently not connected. Such a pain. I have 35 devices connected 8 are smart plugs / lights. 5 echos. All firmware is up to date. I don’t believe I’ve ever gotten full speed out of these routers but usually in the 100 MPS to 250 MPS which was adequate but many times only 50 to 60 MPS— I pay for Gig service. I am not going to scream do not buy because this worked for 12 months without much problem, but in the last 3 months, it’s been one big problem. The nodes have not moved from their initial locations, and I’ve tried to trouble shoot every possible way. The Parent node in my office has been solid but without the other 2 nodes active, I don’t have enough coverage. I am considering another standard router for my necessary applications and using this “mesh” system for my smart home set up to see if that makes a difference. My experience makes me wonder if the firmware updates have caused issues? Good luck with your research and router purchase

      Hi,

If you encounter dropping connections with the Linksys WHW0303, then you may try running the channel finder feature and power-cycle the nodes for isolation. Our Escalation Engineers wants to assist you with this by sending us an email at [email protected] with your contact info and the link of this review, for our reference.

It took a little time to figure out the best spot for the second nodebut once I got it it linked to all my devices automatically. Overall it was very ready to set up through the app.

I have a large house with two floors. My signal strength is great throughout the whole house with no speed loss in all areas. It was hard to spend this kind of money, but it was worth it.

Trouble with home automation wanting my router to reach my shed to turn on lights. Was Linksys fan for years then made the jump to Netgear a few years back then recently added an extender. No luck...frequent drops from the extender. Now back to Linksys. They knocked it out of the park with Velop! Easy setup and solid reception throughout without having to change networks while going from room to room. The speed is phenomenal. If you have a wired house, you can connect each node to the LAN to offload backhaul demand. They are expensive, but aggravation has an offsetting cost. If you can swing it, you will not be sorry.
