We bought this product to improve WiFi coverage around our home, and we are not disappointed. It was an easy set up, and given how we have placed the three units, our coverage has improved quite a bit. My only complaint is the cost; nearly $500 for this configuration. We have nearly 5000 square feet, and we get strong signal and performance just about everywhere in the house. I would recommend this product if you don't mind the cost.

Looking at lots of web-based reviews, the Linksys Velop series really looked to be the best choice for me, but sometimes reviews can be misleading. Not in this case, this setup has replaced a combination of wireless routers as well as some wired solution with better performance in every part of my house. Installation was easy and I have only started to play with some of the device prioritization features that, I think will make it even better for us. Thanks Linksys.

Improved The WiFi Signal in our Small House

We had the Spectrum technician come to our 1450 sq ft home to evaluate the WiFi throughout the house because the signal wouldn’t go past the room where the modem and router were and the adjacent room. We were willing to purchase a higher quality modem and router and get them relocated to a more central area. The technician couldn’t relocate the modem because there was no phone jack in the area, and he suggested that, before we went through the expense of installing a new phone jack, we bought a mesh, to see if the signal would extend more efficiently. Soooo we went to BB, and one of the associates suggested this Linksys 3 pod mesh or the Google one, which both were within our budget. We opted for the Linksys, After setting up the pods, one was connected to the router, and we played with the locations of the other 2 to determine the best one for each. Now we have a strong signal all through the house including the swimming pool area where we never got signal before. It has worked beautifully most of the time, with a couple of exceptions where one of the pods lost signal which was an easy fix using the app. We also liked the idea that we could purchase more pods if we needed more coverage but so far 3 is enough. I noticed that if i placed the pods more than 25 feet away from each other, they lose signal. I am happy that i was able to strategically place the 3 and get a good signal all though the house.

    Great Coverage / Glitchy App

While advertised as having an easy setup, I found the setup app to be glitchy. There were times it would hang up or suddenly decide to go back and repeat a step. However, despite this flaw, the devices were relatively simply to setup overall. The coverage of the nodes is good. I have one in a lower level and two on the upper level and I get a full signal where ever I am. Speed is good, but sometimes unstable when I test it with an app on my phone. It could be the app or my phone and not the node.

The Linksys Velop gave me excellent Wi-Fi coverage for my entire home.I have had several different wifi routers prior to this. None of them gave the seamless coverage that this Velop system provides.. It was a snap to install, even for a not so tech savy like me. Single user and MU-MIMO throughput speeds are incredibly fast. I pay for 400mbps download and this Velop delivers 435! Awesome and well worth the money.

Since installing this system, we have noticed much better connection of our multiple devices to WiFi. There are no longer dead zones in the house. And it is great to have one network name - no matter where you are in the house.

The Velop system changed the game at my house. Speed tests showed my speeds tripled from the cable provider issued router. I have a two story home (main and basement; 2700sq ft) and we literally have perfect speed/connection in every inch of house (we have 3 nodes). I highly recommend to all, especially smart home/smart tv users. It powers multiple smart tvs and smart home stuff easily. And there is SO. Much. Control with the app!

I was having challenges with buffering and dropped shows. Right after we plugged it in everything changed. I have had it in place for 3 weeks and have not had any more problems. It took very little time to install. I would highly recommend this product. Only one problem I bought it on sale and they only had the white ones on sale not the black ones I wanted. Not sure why the black is more valuable. I don't get that but the product is fantastic.

The installation is a snap using the App. In short order I had 3 routers set up and operating throughout the house and apartment. This system works through 2 brick/block walls to send the signal throughout both the apartment and house. A great thing is the same SSID is everywhere, unlike using a range extender. This is very expensive and gave me pause to purchase it. The ease of installation and great operation make up for most of it, but 4 stars due to the high cost.

I’ve had this system for a minute and it has gotten subsequently better with software upgrades. Had some issues with smart devices dropping, but setting static IPs for those devices seems to have fixed the issue. Overall, great coverage and speed. For newer homes with multiple floors and/or devices, it’s awesome.

I purhased this item to unify wifi throughout my house, eliminate range extender. Read some reviews stating the signal dropped at times, but this has not happened to me at all in the 6 weeks since I installed the system. Very easy to install, user friendly smartphone app to help install/place nodes. The internet download/upload speeds have more than quadrupled and the range of signal has been extended greatly since installing the Velop system. A great purchase without a doubt!

This is my first mesh system. A coworker had recommended it because he had it. Setup was easy. Initially we had a problem with devices disconnecting but once the mesh system was done updating we have not had problems with connections. I called technical support to figure out how to block unknown devices that was connected to the network and they quickly walked me through the process. The app is easy to use and very useful. Absolutely happy with this purchase.

This is our second round with the Velop system. They are in both our offices. Even when we had a node fail earlier this year, we just reconfigured another as the primary and connected the other nodes to it. Super easy

When I got home the routers were easy to set up but getting them to connect correctly was a problem, (modem). Thankfully the product comes with an excellent customer service team who walked me thru everything. I had to change which router was going to be the parent then reconnect. The whole connection system can show up and be controlled by your phone app. I think the customer service guy said the service is 24hrs a day I think for 1 or 2 years and so far so good no problems here.
