Works like a champ. Set up was a breeze. So far works great for known wifi dead spots around the house. Speed is phenomenal for each of the nodes as it kept even with the base.

I visited my local Best Buy with intentions of purchasing a traditional high end/hi-speed router that would offer coverage for a two level 3400 sq. ft home with multiple web device access via phones, wireless printers and streaming TV’s. After discussing my situation with the Best Buy associate he suggested that I also consider the Linksys Velop Tri-band 2-pk system. The price was comparable to traditional upper end routers and coverage seemed appropriate. Installation was simple and my internet speeds are awesome. Great product and very helpful customer service. A big thanks to the Best Buy associate as well....he had all the right answers and suggestions!

Home is 2 stories and around 4200 square feet. I went from complete dead spots in certain areas of the house to almost no access in the backyard. I now have complete corner to corner coverage in the house and solid access in the back yard! Easy set up and app works well. There seems to be a delay in the parental controls. Takes about 30 minutes to shut off internet access on selected devices. Internet provider is AT&T 250mbps (which we all no nobody ever gets especially on a wireless test). Every wireless speed check in the house is above 60mbps with a general avg of 120mbps. So far it’s been a great experience. I have had this setup for a month.

    Parental Controls Do Not Work

Very disappointed with the Velop. Set up is easy, but the parental controls don’t actually work. You can set them - but they have no effect on your children’s device. Of course the teens don’t tell you this and I missed the return window. For such an expensive option, something as simple as parental controls should work. I also don’t like how devices don’t switch to the closest node. I would look elsewhere.

From having the traditional modem/router combination, I knew I needed something better. Something that would eliminate dead spots. Walked into Best Buy with my mind set on another router but with a stronger signal and more antennas. Then I was introduced to the Linksys Velop by an associate. I explained why I was looking at a new router and he suggested a mesh system instead. I can tell you, definitely worth the cost. 3400 square foot home and no longer run into loss of signal or dead spots. At one time, can have up to 20 items connected and still works awesome. Very satisfied with my purchase and thankful for the knowledge of the Best Buy associate.

I thought this would be hard to set up because I never set up a router like this before. It gives you a setup booklet that takes you through every step and you just follow it on your device. I like how it syncs all 3 to combine the one. This thing is virtually future proof won't have to buy another set of routers for awhile. So that way your always updated. It also comes with its own app which tells you devices that are connected as well as you can have parental controls and I think it has a timer for internet. You can even kick off devices for when their time is up. I just thought that was a cool feature. Just don't abuse it and kick off your friends as a prank that's just cruel.

I was skeptical of mesh networks and how the speed would be sustained from node to node. Let me tell you it’s great. Speed is awesome. Setup was a breeze. Would highly recommend.

I have a 3,200 sq. ft. 2-story home. We kept having problems with our laptops and iPads dropping the connection on the second floor. I put the master unit on the first floor connected to the router. The second unit went upstairs at the top of the stairs and the third unit went upstairs at the far end of the home. All problems have been corrected. I realize there are new Wi-Fi 6 units, but it will be many years before we have that option where we lived so I saved some money not getting the newer units. That might be different for your needs.

It's been over ten years since I've upgraded my Apple AirPort network in my home. I was hesitant at first but I was starting to see dips in connection. I looked into new WiFi 5 and 6 systems and found the Linksys - Velop AC 2200. I have to say that set up was far easier than I thought it would be (comparing to Apple products) and the network thus far has supported our over 20 WiFi enabled products in our home. This product is a good replacement and provides great connection on a Spectrum service line.

I'm a cable technician that picked up some side work for a family after a high speed internet install. Very fast connection, but nowhere near enough range. After returning a very expensive high powered router that didn't do the trick, I suggested we try the mesh network. They are enjoying whole home wifi and couldn't be happier. I check back in with them occasionally and it's still working flawlessly. It supports their stay-at- home offices that involves a lot of teleconferencing. Best news is they can always get some extra pods if they want to extend coverage.

The Velop 3-unit system has solved the continual problems we were having with inadequate coverage. Not only that, but we have lost power a couple of times, and it has come back on without a problem. The connectivity performance has been consistent, and I do not hesitate in giving it an A+ rating.
