Having 3 nodes is way more efficient than 1 super router. Def works a lot better. Set up was quick and easy.

I’m one of those that needed black to match existing decor and needed 3 nodes so I had to buy 4 :-(. Coverage is excellent, throughput is good, only real complaint is the failure of wired backhaul to properly handle ethernet devices and the inability to disable 2.4GHz on the Guest network without losing it on the main SSID as well. It’s all or nothing on the use of WiFi frequencies. I’m hoping both of these will be resolved in future firmware updates. Otherwise, very highly recommended.

I recently purchased and installed a Netgear Nighthawk X6 AC3200 WiFi Router in my home. Devices dropped multiple times each day and the WiFi signal was weak with spotty coverage. I decided to return the Netgear device and purchase the Linksys Velop Tri-Band Mesh WiFi system. Very simple installation instructions and the system has been working without and issues for the past week. I like the simple sleek design of the nodes. A great product that is certainly worth the money. Highly recommended!

After reviewing many of the available mesh router systems I decided on the Linksys Velop system. System is very easy to setup using the mobile app through Bluetooth. Literally setup in about 15mins from opening box to fully operational system. Also was able to easily hook up my TimeCapsule backup disk via ethernet cable. Great coverage area, 3 node system covers 4,000sqft house and extends outside house with ease. Definitely would recommend.

Pros: Looks great Relatively easy setup Great connectivity throughout my house, and covers most of my property (~6 acres - but not much in the way of competing signals near me) Cons - Only one wired port so plan on having switches if needed for multiple wired connections All in all way better than traditional router WiFi extender combos. Ideal for larger spaces especially if you are not getting good signal throughout.

Just installed so not sure I can give a 5. I am writing this review because when I read reviews half of them I wonder if they are marketing lobbiest putting messaging out there. My old dlink dir880 was just not enough processing speed to handle my 5000sq home with three teenagers streaming and my wife and I working from home. Needed more bandwidth as well as ability to schedule away time for devices without subscription. I am probably an advanced user so the setup was fine. I saw one review where a person complained that you could not get into the router via your computer. That is not the case. You first setup via phone app very easy then you can get to it via an IP address. I changed the router up address to match my required ip range as I have a switch in my basement and have some hardwired connections. I am getting 200Megabit speeds now versus 90Mbps on old router. We will see once it really gets loaded but so far I am happy. I chose this over Orbi and eero due to the ability to schedule time away for my kids devices. The schedule feature interface is okay it’s kind of confusing when doing crossover and late night time off. All in all I like the app interface. I did signup for the more advanced website control to see how it works. I use open DNS which is another Cisco owned deal. You can select categories like teenage. My kids watch a lot of YouTube so not sure if it can filter YouTube or not.

With 5 kids and multiple devices and all the other smart electronics that are part of our lives these days, our home needed a boost. This was all we needed I get service by the pool, in the garage and even over at the neighbors.

replaced a apple airport extreme router that has served its time. as more and more devices were added it suffered through put issues and had some dead zones in the house. Now have full house coverage and then some ( for front and back yards) It hands all family devices. Some hiccups during set up. But that was more on my part then the device it self. It went prefect till I added old apple router as bridge and connected drives. but all set up and squared away. would and have recommended this devices to friends and family

Setup took a few minutes. Downloaded the app on my phone and it walked me thru step by step. No guessing..what a relief and was so quick. Once it was setup I noticed the difference right away. My whole house now has WiFi coverage with no dead spots. The only bad thing about this is that I started buying more smart products because of my awesome new WiFi. New garage door opener, ring doorbell, smart thermostat, smart lights..Wife is a little made I’m spending all this money...lol

I first bought the three pack of these to cover 4500 sq ft. It might be overkill, however I did not want any buffering when I watch a movie at the other end of the house so I purchased an additional two. I do sometimes notice that one of the nodes may lose signal, so I unplug them for about 10 seconds and they reconnect. I have also noticed that they reconnect on their own as well. I gave them 4 stars because of this minor issue. My house is completely covered from my garages to the pool.

I bought these along with a MR8300 mesh router to fill in some WIFI dead spots in my house. In the middle of my house is a large masonry triple chimney with two fireplaces covered on three sides with bluestone. WIFI signal doesn't go through it, nor through the 12 inch foundation walls, including the one that runs between the basement and garage. The router is over the garage, so I had good WIFI there, but none in the basement, the bottom back porch off the basement, or the back yard, and a weak signal in the other end of the house. So I put one in the other end of the house which is over the basement, one about 20 feet from the router which gets the signal around the fireplace, and one on the main level screened back porch which covers the lower porch and back yard. Yes, the one in the screened porch is operating outside of the environmental specs (I'm in upstate NY), but no problems so far. It's the only way to get a signal in the back. I tried streaming HD video and walking into my previous dead spots while watching the app to see which node my laptop was connected to. It seamlessly switched around without any video glitches. I waited a month before writing a review so I could assess the reliability, as some reviewers have had problems. So far, I have had none. I don't have any other signals around me to interfere with things either though. After a power outage everything boots back up fine and reconnects without intervention. All of my nodes are connecting directly to the router, so your experience may be different.

Works exactly as advertised. Saw a spike in internet speeds from about 97Mb/s to around 650Mb/s, and improved signal strength.
