Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Velop AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, coverage, and setup, frequently citing its simple installation and strong signal. Many also praise the system's range and performance, reporting consistently reliable connectivity. However, some users experienced connection issues and noted the relatively high price. A limited number of Ethernet ports was also a recurring point of feedback.

I have been looking for a great home router for some time. I read about this online and had to get it. I have not been disappointed. It covers my entire home with out issue, and can handle wifi speeds of over 100 Mbps.

We bought a bigger house and we needed better whole home WiFi coverage. This has done the trick. Works really well and seem less. Easy to setup too with the smart phone app

Was having weak internet, and buffering issues, from being too far away from my old router. After much research, (and a convenient BB sale price), I decided to go with the velop system...and am not disappointed! We average 15-20 devices connected at any given time, and exclusively stream tv, and have not had a single buffering moment since hooking this up. It even gives you the option to prioritize up to 3 devices, so if there’s a lot of bandwidth being used, you can make sure you don’t have lag while gaming, or streaming. Highly recommended for many devices, very large coverage, and reliability.

    FAST Throughput, undesirable range

Great high-speed and lots of bandwidth, but the range is less than desirable. Got this 3 pack to replace 2 Google OnHubs that could saturate my house and half an acre of my property, but these Velop nodes only reach about 20ft beyond the walls of the house and a couple corners only receive a medium signal. There's enough bandwidth to operate the 20+ devices in my home (laptops, game systems, phones, smart home ecosystem), but the range is killing me. I'll need a 4th node to blanket the interior of the home to the same degree as my previous OnHubs.

There should be more of an explanation/example from Linksys as to how you can use the system depending on who your ISP is, and how you want to use them. Since I have cable [for now], I went and set my nodes up in Bridge mode, so that the cable company provided modem/gateway "issues" the IP addresses to the nodes as well as to the mobile devices that connected wirelessly [in addition to the devices that connect via wired Ethernet connections]. That way I am not dealing with multiple networks. Once I set them up they work exactly as I wanted, so far I have not encountered any dead spots in my home.

Easy to setup. 1 node keeps getting knocked offline. It is less than 30 ft and straight line without walls from the node it’s connected to. First time my wife had placed something in front of it. I removed what she put in front of it and rebooted the node and it worked perfectly for a week or more. Then it went offline again; don’t know why this time; but a quick reboot and good to go. If you want to hardwire a node to system it was difficult finding instructions. I searched all over the web and finally found something, but don’t remember where.

Difficult to set up reliably. The app works well, but it would take a while to connect each node. When it does disconnect from one another, it is unclear why. May need closer positioning but not clear from the app. Speed otherwise was great when working. Ended up returning due to the unreliability.

I bought this to replace my old router & WiFi extender. I’d alway have to log off one WiFi connection & logon to another one when I went from my house to barn/shop. Everything works seamlessly now.

The 3 Linksys Velop routers solved all our home wireless issues. We have stopped fussing at each other, asking who was using the WiFi duing work hours. What a relief!

I've purchased three sets of these so far for two different homes and love them. I always know via the app if a node isn't working and even if one goes down it self heals and I don't have to power cycle anything anymore. I'm so glad those days are long gone. All the nodes are putting out 70mbps which is what I get from the ISP and I couldn't be happier. They also make wiring remotely located devices a breeze since they each have two Cat5 ports on the bottom. We use Sonos which relies on the Wifi and these nodes make it easy to setup and keep the Sonos system working. Wish it was a little less expensive but, 70mpbs out of each node, notifications to my phone that says whether its the ISP or a node and 1 network name to connect to? Worth it.
