Wow-Fi
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was the best purchase I made this year. I was looking for a wi-fi extender because we had been running into issues streaming 4K movies and general lag time on mobile devices. The Geek Squad member listen to what issues we were having and told us all of our problems would be fixed with this. And sure enough, it did! We have about 30 plus devices hooked up and all of the are running better then before. And no more prompts to switch to SD version of a movie. The set up was so easy a 10 year old could do it. We plugged it in, downloaded the app and had it up and running in under 30 minutes.

Excellent coverage and easy setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this for a 5000 sq. Ft. Home. Setup is ridiculously easy. Had it all running in less than 20 minutes including updating of units. It is so easy to move access points from room to room to find best location for optimal coverage. Also easy to move to yard for parties. Just unplug, move it, and plug into outlet. Previously I had multiple access points with different SSID and would have to pick the closest one for best results. Those days are gone now with this mesh setup. I would recommend this to everyone.

Excelent WiFi
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was amazed at how easy this was to setup and how great the signal strength was once completed, it was nice to be able to have only one SSID and password, unlike extenders were you have to login to mutable SSID's

A good solution for multilevel houses
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have waited for this technology to get better. This solves my problem with a multilevel house, but posed other issues in the process. I know you cant please everyone but Im not trying to reinvent the internet or anything. I like to wire as much as possible. I was told you can add a switch. So total investment (wifi/router went down) 2 fiveport switches$, one cable modem$$,one link sys 2 unit mesh system$$$. My goal was to have streaming devices wired to free up wifi for cameras and such. You cant put a switch on the first mesh unit because theres only one in and one out. So if you have wired your house in a spider configuration it aint going to work. You have to wired toyour send unit and plug your switch there. To connect devices. It doesnt see the other device otherwise. Theres only two connections per devices. It works well but not crazy good. It was hard to set the second one up even though it was right next to the other. It kept say move closer. It has a priority setting which only slows down everthing else. There are not a lot of controls you normally see on a wifi, but seeing devices on your network is a better than any third party apps ive used. I dont really like the fact that the interface is web based. It will sometimes disconnect while navigating through it which is stupid if you think about it. While on a web based window you get a message saying no connection to the very device thats enableing you to see the message. Buuuutt it hasnt failed me yet and ive had it going for months now. The reason for the 4 stars and harsh review is that all these issues can be solved with updates and are just annoyances. Happy otherwise.

Finally, wifi without the dead spots
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looking for anything that would extend the range of my home wi-fi I asked about a variety of range extenders. Then this system caught my eye and that it wasn't just another range extender. Plus it came as a 3 pack capable to covering a house larger than mine. I found it easy to install and the performance is so much better than all the range extenders I no longer need. It's pricey but exceeds my expectations.

Love my new Linksys Velop Tri-Band Mesh system
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was using a single dual-band Linksys EA6200 with Verizon Fios 75/75 service. Since I started working from home, I noticed significant slowness over the wifi. I saw the set of 3 black Velops was on sale so I bought them. Extremely easy to set up with the app. Put two on my main floor and one upstairs. Immediately saw an improvement. Then decided to upgrade my Verizon to 300/300. I am getting 80%+ of the wired speed to my wifi devices on a consistent basis. I even get decent speeds outside on my deck which is amazing! Extremely happy I upgraded. I did see that a number of users expressed concern over speeds through their houses and Linksys said to run the channel optimize tool - which I did. My only complaint right now is that sometimes my phone (on older Samsung Note 5) doesn't register top speeds using Speedtest when I am moving around the house - almost like it isn't auto-switching from node to node. When I disconnect and reconnect to my wifi, it immediately goes back to top speed. If Linksys notices this review, maybe someone can weigh in. If not, I'll reach out to them if it becomes an issue.

Easy to use. Great range
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this system. Easy to set up. App shows a lot of information. Only wish I'd purchased the 3 set. These can be used as individual units for different wifis or together to create coverage in a large area.

Worry free WiFi
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Velop has proven itself a worthy purchase. The whole setup was done on iPhone, following simple steps. Three towers now cover not only the whole house, but also front and backyard 100 yards in every direction. I can stream 1080p YouTube being good 50 yards away from the house. Only one WiFi name for all devices to connect vs previously 6 different names required to cover main router and range extenders in 2 WiFi frequencies. We now have Velop for two months and in this period there were zero restarts or any Internet issues. I did not have to touch the admin app after initial setup. Velop even updates firmware automatically by itself, so we have the most up to date features and stability. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Easy set up
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought based on Best Buy coworker suggestion. Easy to set up. However returned after a week or so as there were several dead spots in my multi level home. Square feet matched my home but plaster walls and the various levels were too much. We are using the three pack currently. Range is sufficient. Speed is much faster than the previous 7 year old router.

Impressive, with a few issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I'm very pleased with the addition of this system in my 3 story 2000(+/-) square foot home. Previously, I had several areas of the house with terrible wifi speed, and the Velop 3-pack has allowed all rooms to achieve full speeds (80Mbit). Setup was a mixed bag - initially I had issues using the app that required me to restart the process a couple of times. I did find that using bluetooth on the setup phone (which isn't required but is recommended) made setup go much smoother, so I'd recommend using it. The Velop website states that you can plug the child nodes into your Ethernet/wired network for improved speed and reliability, but I didn't find this to be true - perhaps it isn't supported fully. When I tried this additional setup step, it actually brought the network offline until I removed the Ethernet cable again. Using the child nodes as an Ethernet hub did work as planned - my SONOS soundbar is plugged into a node and works perfectly. Keep in mind that your wireless speeds will vary depending on your hardware. A year old MacBook Air was getting 20Mbit before the Velop was installed, and now gets 75-85. However, a brand new PC in the same room only got 9-10 after the installation, since the wireless card in that PC wasn't very good. A replacement card solved the issue, and that PC now gets 80 on the average. Similar issues occurred with other older devices - though they all connect with ease. Overall, I'm very happy with the product. The nodes are fast, fairly small (I hide them behind standing picture frames), and setup wasn't too painful. There aren't many advanced setup features to speak of, so if you require those you should look at other options until Linksys updates the app and/or firmware.

Super-Easy to Set up And Works Very Well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It really does set up very easily. It uses an app for your smartphone and connects to the node via bluetooth to set it up. The process is so easy that I thought I was forgetting something! It even tells you when you're setting up the other two nodes if they're in a good position or not. Once set up, the system is very fast. My devices connected to it so much faster than my previous router, and the signal is much more consistent too. My entire home (2 floors) is no covered!

Pricy, but worth every penny!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased my Velop in hopes to have an upgraded WiFi system for my home. Given, I was at first skeptic, due to the pricing, I went for it anyway and after getting everything setup via the Linksys App, I have never witnessed my internet connectivity being so strong, as opposed to the NETGEAR NighthawkX10 I had. Setup was a breeze. Kind of unfortunate that it relies on a mobile device, though I did not mind it. After fifteen minutes setting up my WiFi System, including passwords; setting priority devices; and time limits on my cousin’s tablet, everything else is worry free and on average, internet speed went from 86 mbps to as high as 270 mbps. Now if only I could start replacing my modem...

Easy setup, great Wi-Fi coverage
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From the moment you open the box, you can tell this is a quality product. Modern design, simple, clear setup instructions make this true Wi-Fi mesh system one of the best on the market. I had to keep my ISP router, cause it's connected via coax, so I disabled its Wi-Fi and uplinked it to one of the Linksys mesh systems, then proceeded with the placement and setup of the remaining units, one on each floor of the house for complete Wi-Fi coverage of the entire house and back yard. Great speed and coverage for all 2.4GHz and 5GHz devices. The only issue i had during setup that's not yet resolved is registration through the smart phone App. I never got the confirmation email, so the App stopped working after a week or so. I've tried resending the confirmation email a few times, checked junk mail folders to no avail. I tried on-line chat with Linksys support, they said they can't help with mesh systems, so I have to call level 2 support. That's the only reason I'm only giving 4 stars for this review.

Great System
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have installed them for three months now. They work perfectly. But to be honest wasn’t impressed at the beginning. Had problem with one of the nodes. After s while, decided to call customer service. I immediately got the dreaded recording tell me had to wait for the next available representative. I thought “here we go again” much to my surprise less than5 minutes I got a rep. Working with her I was able to get it online and has been working great since. One thing I learned is that if you do have issues connecting a more, out it within inches to the one you have attached to the cable modem. You may have, as I did, one needing a firmware update. Just a suggestion. This product is perfect, all modes automatically connects to any device be it 2.4 or 5 ghz. I believe you will be as I am very pleased with this product including their customer service

Nice looking system, easy setup and great range.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After months of going back and forth between a mesh system and a regular WiFi router, I went for the 3 PC tri-band black mesh system. Not only was it super easy to setup, way easier than older Linksys routers, this one being my 5th Linksys in the past 18 years, it is almost foolproof. I have been partial to Linksys and was happy to have found this mesh system. The software is fantastic, you can see everyone online, make guests accounts, check status of each unit, check protection and security, prioritize by device, parental controls and so much more, right on your mobile device. We have the master in the dining room, and 1 slave in the master bedroom. Our 3rd unit is in the basement, but it actually feeds the basement, garage and part of the 1st floor. Excellent coverage for a 2800 sf and 1 acre of land. No dropped or cold spots. We stream on multiple screens and devices, plus all needs of a family. Since upgrading to this unit from a single router, we have not lost internet or suffered lagging. So far, we are really happy with the unit. I wish it had mounting brackets to hang on the wall, vs being a table top system. Box to setup was about an hour, and that was because I had to reprogram each Roku device to the new system. I went with a black system as it blends in better with my black and white decor. We use it for business and personal use, at the same time with no issues.
