Customers are impressed with the Velop AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, coverage, and setup, frequently citing its simple installation and strong signal. Many also praise the system's range and performance, reporting consistently reliable connectivity. However, some users experienced connection issues and noted the relatively high price. A limited number of Ethernet ports was also a recurring point of feedback.

My router is in the basement. Porch has concrete floor and concrete driveway blocks front yard firepit, and house is loooong. Now I have 4 bars everywhere all the way out to the mailbox (100'). A BEST BUY for sure. It doesn't say, but you must disconnect your former WiFi set up.

I bought this for my parents because the last router they bought didn't work. It installed easily and our wifi actually extends throughout the entire house for the first time ever! My parents were really excited about this gift because it was useful.

Setup is a lot easier than the manual makes it out to be.... it's almost too automated. But, there are gigabit ethernet ports for connecting a home cloud to the system... unable to find this answer prior to purchase, but it is there. Works as advertised... worth the $299 holiday special price paid.

Got these on sale, worth the price there, but not full price. Had some issues with node dropping and doesn't play nice with the ps4 if it tries to hand it off to another node. Coverage is ok. requires use of smart phone app

I had to contact support to get the nodes placed. We did some pretty technical log review to be able to get the nodes placed properly. I was on the phone with a very nice and knowledgeable support person for about 2 hours to accomplish the install that is working flawlessly.

I have a 5,000 SF home and almost gave up on wifi. Salesman talked me into Velos, I ended up with a 3 pack and a 2 pack. We now have strong signals everywhere in the house. I have actually developed a good attitude towards wifi. I strongly recommend if you are as frustrated as I was.

The Linksys system boosted the Wifi throughout the house and allowed us to stream movies but I am still living with AT&T at 20 MBPS. I plan to change that soon and with the Linksys in place, I just need to get a new WiFi provider.

I get wifi all over my home and in my back yard by the pool. Crazy coverage. Only downfall is that it does not have VPN. They have upgraded it and have VPN software based. That’s why i took away one star. Other than that solid product. For the price it should be included.

My wife and I were having network issues. We have many devices and our original router wasn’t keeping up so we decided to upgrade to a whole home system. This has helped keep everyone online, while automatically connecting each device to the best band.

Great Wifi router; consistent performance. Good connection among nodes. Things that need to be improved: band steering feature is not available which means connecting devices cannot automatically be switched to 5Ghz band with higher bandwidth when suitable

Assembled in China First Impressions, Boxing, What’s included? Packaging and design is wonderful. I love the design of the box and the way the front has a “magnetic” mechanism to open and close. Some packaging I’ve gone through is quite annoying and you even end up tearing the box sometimes! This is from the perspective of someone that really likes their boxes and packaging so it’s my opinion. But if you’re someone like me, you’ll definitely appreciate the way this thing is packaged. The internal design of the box is great because it’s “cut” and “grooved” a certain way for each content within the box. Talk about “shipping” resistant! So what’s included? You get the 3 nodes of course, each one is well vented for heat dissipation. On the bottom of each node, you have a reset button, 12VDC power adapter connection, a power switch, and 2 Ethernet ports. You also get to receive a nice thin flexible Ethernet cable. What I would’ve liked to see here is perhaps 2 extra Ethernet cables only because I like to have hard wired connected PCs as opposed to everything running on Wi-Fi. So that would’ve been nice. After the Ethernet cable (on the back) you will find the legal disclaimer/warranty/technical support pamphlet. Once you get to read through that (if you want to) you see the setup guide. The setup guide is literally a card with 3 basic steps. I must say, this card is even nice material that I enjoy. Under the setup guide are your 3 AC power adapters. Testing/Setup - Conclusion So I did some serious speed test before and after the Velop. Here are my results and findings... If you compare it to your traditional routers that are currently on the market, it makes a huge difference. The reason why? You get a crazy 6,000 sq. ft. coverage as well as top notch speeds. But how does it compare when you match it up against its class of "unique" routers? Well, I'm gonna have to say its just on par. When compared to the rival of a router like Netgear Orbi, the only difference is the extra 2,000 sq. ft. coverage. The speeds are pretty much the same. BUT, if you're looking to find a router that can handle the range and speeds, Linksys Velop does not fall short. Setup was quite simple, you do everything on the mobile APP. The issue(s) I had were the functionality of some of the features on the APP. Honestly, it got quite annoying at one point that I had to call Linksys customer support and things just got worse. The 2 main issue(s) I had were the prioritize optimization (where you select your 3 devices of which ones get the fastest speeds) and the channel optimization. But looking past those issue(s), the setup and APP were definitely nice that the Orbi didn't have. One major issue (hardware wise) that I didn't like, each Node only has 2 Ethernet ports. So if you're someone like me that has 4-5 different things hooking up to the main router, you'll want those extra Ethernet ports. What I would've liked to see were perhaps 5 Ethernet ports on one of the nodes and the 2 on the other wouldn't bother me so much. Would I recommend this product? You bet. If you're searching for an update to your current router and internet setup at home, check out the Linksys Velop. I'm sure Linksys are making improvements to the current issues as I mentioned above and are going to make the APP even better. It'll just take time as with any other APP released.

So so on this product, it fails a lot and needs someone who is savvy. The tech support is awesome 24/7 and I love the application on my phone. The pricing is seriously high and signal is marginally better.
