The Linksys Velop system is easy to set up, and works great in larger homes. I purchased two sets (four units) for coverage in a 6000 sq. ft house with a basement. Signal remains strong throughout the house. No dead spots.

A Better Wireless Network - Velop

I had been having continual problems with my Wi-Fi network after spending $$ and time adding new routers and repeaters to no avail, could not get decent reception and consistent coverage. After reading about the Velop system from Linkksys I decided to give it a try. I was super impressed at the ease of set up and the quality of the product. The towers are a little big and are harder to hide than other systems I reviewed. Their design is very impressive and well thought-out though. As far as the coverage goes that is what sold the product for me. I had much greater connectivity and throughput in places that I was having dropouts previously. It solved many issues I was experiencing previously. Expensive to say the least but if you need better coverage and consistent connection and speed this is definitely the way to go.

Perfect. I have 3-storey home, home-bound business operation, active internet usage with 3 adults living in home. Business and sites like Prime Video/Netflix and business operations conducted in the lowest floor were being seriously hindered with buffering and dropped calls/slow internet. Hooked up product and internet operating with full coverage/speed. Set-up and required app were easy to understand and took less than 1/2 hour from unwrap to fully installed. If you haven't considered mesh before, I encourage you to think about it. My home is over 3,400 sq feet on 3 storeys. This system gives me full coverage.

I have this system already in white but wanted stronger, more saturated coverage for my 3 story house and backyard and patio. We also replaced all of our cable boxes with Rokus. When this system went on sale I jumped on it. The newer versions were still too pricy. These are perfect and I like the high-tech look of the black ones especially in high-visibility locations. Very high-tech looking and more subtle. These add more coverage area to our existing system. Now our coverage is wide, fast, and seamless and will last through the additions of PS 5 systems and replacement HD TVs all while working with the home office we all have now.

Device is Excellent, Set Up Directions - Horrible

I spent 2 hours trying to set up the device using the software app sent to my iphone. Epic Fail. Called Linksys Support, spent 90 minutes more resetting things that were not defined in original directions. Once it was working, the expanded coverage and signal strength is Excellent. Even in the far corners of other floors (3)

The Velop is my first mesh wi-fi system. I've always used regular routers, and when necessary, wi-fi extenders in the past, which I feel are rigid and don't provide much flexibility. I did tons of research before deciding on the Velop, including speaking with several folks that own it. Once I got it home, I was shocked at how easy it is to setup. I'm also very impressed with the range of even a single unit. I have 4300 sq. ft. of living space, and only in one of the farthest corners do I get less than 100% signal. I also love that there is a single wi-fi name whether you're connected at 5GHz or 2.4GHz (which the Velop automatically detects and connects you to the fastest band), even when you cross over to another node in the mesh. I love this system!

The router will provide strong signal throughout. I am using these as a bridge to my 1GIG FIOS connection over a Ubiquiti ERX. The max I am getting on my iPhone X is 300 MBPS. If I connect directly to the ERX using my macbook pro gigabit ethernet, I can get 800+ MBPS. The iOS app is good but the router does not connect back easily to the cloud if a loss of connection happens. Ethernet back haul is impossible. Takes forever to reboot. Not really worth the price tag.

      Hello, Beepoo.

The Velop Tri-Band mesh system should provide you with fast and consistent wireless connectivity throughout your home. Moreover, a wired back haul should be attainable and the unit itself should be reliable. Make sure that your system is running on the latest firmware to maximize its performance. Excellent product. Excellent Free technical support as long as you own product. Easy and helpful setup from Linksys. Primarily bought for improve wifi calling on my Verizon Cell phones. Verizon is usually good but in my area for some reason services is horrible. My home is 2000 square feet. These cover a home for 6000 square feet. Best buy had these Linksys Tri Band in Black on sale for $200. All I can say is this product is worth every penny. Even though they are normally $400. When I went to buy them the White ones were $400, the Black ones were $200. These are the Best Item ever. Service in my home is seamless.

After reading reviews, I was thinking I may have made a mistake purchasing this Linksys Velop Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi system. However, I pushed forward and installed. I am not a techy type of person and this install was very simple and easy to do. Installed the app on my phone and followed the simple on line instructions. NO ISSUES at all. I now have no dead spots in my entire home. You do have to add each item one time to recognize your new wi-fi, but I believe that you have to do that with any system. We even lost power due to a storm last night and everything came back on line and reconnected once the whole house generator came on. Would recommend and would purchase again.

This is a great networking solution for those who want their Wi-Fi coverage throughout their entire home as well as maintaining their speeds and have the bandwidth available for all the devices in the home. The setup of the Velop is very easy, you download the app, make an account & follow the guide on setting up the nodes. Now once setup it will show as one Wi-Fi connection throughout the entire home and the latency between the node is very low which allows for constant roaming from node to node. And due to the Tri Band antennas built into the nodes you’ll have more then enough bandwidth for all of your devices and more.

I bought this device several months ago. Firstly, pretty easy to install. It worked like a charm and to the most part works as advertised. If you do not require any additional changes then the device works as advertised. If you upgrade your ISP after using Velop for some time, it’s a different story. You will have to contact customer service and request for assistance from a separate team. Be mindful, if they ask you to reset, you are going to lose any networking mapping, connection, etc even though the tech said it won’t change anything. If you are at stage where you are naming the router again, there’s no way other devices will reconnect automatically without authenticating again.

I had a competitors system that cut our speed in half, even though it was rated well above our 400 Mbps plan. One day, it just didn’t work. Went to Best Buy and was shown this System. I was a little more than what I wanted to spend but decided to get it. Set up was easy to a point. Turned out, the app didn’t work for us. I called Linksys and they were awesome! I was up and running in no time. Speed is perfect, all through out the house. Absolutely no dead zones, works flawlessly and is super dependable. Should have done this a long time ago. I can speak high enough about this system.

There are a lot of options out there for mesh networks -- eero, Google, Linksys, Netgear. All tout simplicity and differing coverage. If you are looking for some of the best coverage out there, ease of setup, and solid management tools from basic to technical folks, this is the winning system. I love the Linksys app and the ease of its configuration. Configuring a 3-node setup takes roughly 10-20 minutes, and the app walks you through every step of the way. Mesh networks ensure that your WiFi backbone of your home is solid -- something that all the bandwidth increase from your ISP cannot solve. When you correct for solid distribution of WiFi and smart regulation of traffic (traffic shaping), you're solid. Period. Highly rated. Highly recommended.

I bought this for my son when he moved to his apartment. The size of apartment is big as a result network connectivity from room to room was poor with thick walls. We debated between Orbi and Velop. I use Orbi and have been very satisfied. My son wanted Velop so I bought it. This is an excellent mesh system and very competitive to Orbi. Excellent connection, the ease of setup and best it shows you if the network is on and device is working just by glancing at its satellite. This is where Orbi needs to improve. You can’t go wrong with this mesh system. BestBuy was excellent in getting the product delivered it curbside
