I bought these about a month ago and they work well for the most part so far. I have noticed that I’ve had to reset one of them a couple times to reconnect it to my network.

      Hi Jarhead8000,

There might be some wireless interference that's causing the node to lose connection to the network. You can utilize the Channel Finder on your Linksys app to help optimize the connection.

Node hopping is constant between antennas. Have been using for 2 years and not getting better a with each new firmware. Have 5 people in my house with 30 devices connecting from cell phone to nest WiFi cameras. I am looking for a new system because my security cameras will lose connection 3-4 times a week. Added this standalone as a recommendation from tech support. Have a 4000+ sq ft house and now have 4 nodes. Nodes will disconnect and reconnect in random order which will cause some nodes to fall to 50mbps speeds. System is not smart enough to to speed check nodes and reconnect to get better signal. App is terrible for support. Says node is disconnected and the light is still blue on antenna. You have to power down node to get app to connect correctly. When you do that the other nodes lose connection so you have to power them all down and power them up in the best order so they will connect in the proper order for best speed. Now I have over $600 in nodes I have to reset once a week. When connected and not causing me stress, they work fine.

      Hi, bd49,

If your Velop System is properly configured and the firmware is up-to-date, it should provide an excellent Wi-Fi coverage without cutting your network speed in half. We'll have one of our Escalation Engineers take a closer look at your network setup to ensure that Velop System is working to its full potential. Please drop us an email at LinksysCares@linksys.com with your contact details and the link to this post for reference.

Upgrade from previous router being used in the house. Better connectivity because of the number of devices that are able to connect at the same time.

I just set up my Linksys-Velop Tri-Band Whole Home Wi-Fi System. At first I was only going to give 4 stars, because of the one thing I thought was a downfall. I had 4 Ethernet ports with my old router and had my wireless security camera hub and smart light hub connected to it and wasn't sure what I could do with one of them, until I realized there are 2 Ethernet ports per node, so I just had to move my smart light hub to a different part of the house so it would be hooked up to another node. My outside wireless security camera that was at the end of the house was always lower bars than the others. I now have full bars on them all. This should take care of any lag on the outside cameras that I had before. Set up was a breeze with the app telling me exactly what to do and when. If you do exactly what the app says step-by-step (without getting ahead of yourself), you should have no problem. I have a log home (very thick walls with angles) and with an extender thought that was as good as it could ever get. Boy was I wrong! I have been slowly turning my home into a smart home...5 smart color lights, 14 smart white lights, 2 PCs, one laptop, 2 tablets, 2 cell phones, 4 Echos all hooked up to the Wi-Fi and maybe more that I can't think of right now. After hooking up 3 Velop nodes the whole distance of the house, I have full bars throughout the house and everything everywhere is faster. Even outside through the logs is no problem anymore at a distance for the security cameras. Amazing! This is a must if you are thinking of the future and any additions you might be adding. Everything seems to be working great and noticeably faster than ever before. Very happy with this product.

I will most likely be returning this. I keep having my Nodes go offline. It is very annoying that they just stop working and sometime refuse to reconnect. I tried 4 times one night and just gave up. This system is overkill for my house so coverage is there, but the node issues are too often. I got this on sale for black friday and would not of bought it if it was not.
