Easy to set up, works great. Completely solved spotty coverage in 3 story house. Now I have strong coverage everywhere, I mean everywhere, the driveway, the street, the backyard, the far patio, all of the corners in the house, the basement, everywhere. App was easy to. Thanks to the dude at the store that recommended it.

We bought this setup last week. We are paying for 300mps internet. Cable co came out because Speed test app shows only 69mps on WIFI. We ran test at modem cat5 port and it is 340mps. Ran it again from several Speedtest apps and internet app and only getting 60-90mps. If I run the Linksys speed test app from phone to Velop is shows 320mps? Why would the intenet speedtest using laptop and cell phones only show 60-90mps? So right now I can't say this unit is putting out 300mps. PS swapped modem 3 time with various units and painfully had to enter in the Mac adress eah time with cable company, Same result, 340pms on modem output, but much lower over wifi.....

We bought a Netgear nighthawk router they quit working after five months and Netgear would not help us figure out what was wrong with it and would not replace it so we bought to do a TP DUAL band router which was terrible. My son-in-law recommended the mesh system so I bought these because they were on sale for 199.00 and got good reviews. We couldn’t be happier. We now have Internet in the back of our house And this was so easy to set up. Highly recommended. Stay away from the Netgear product because they have absolutely no customer service after 90 days.

Works great for me. Easy to use and set up. Speed is good. There are a faster ones out there but for the price works well for me. Coverage is good too.

The iOS app could use a little more work to add more configuration options and the app Speedtest demonstrates my desired speed, but other third-party display otherwise. Overall I'm very happy but I want to make sure that I'm getting the most out of my product and there's not enough software to do so

Very easy to set up and it works great. I now have great coverage and speed throughout the house powering a dozen devices on wi-fi, including gaming.

Purchased for a friend's house. Works great and is able to cover his entire house. When one loses connection, it can be a pain to get it reconnected.

Not going to be very thorough. Connection I stronger now, I connect through VPN to work and having this keeps the signal strong enough so I don’t lose direct connection. However, it by default tries to use simultaneous 2.4 + 5 GHz signals with the same network name and it kept giving me issues. I had to log into the router IP address and change it to have two separate SSID and that worked. For the price I think features like that should have worked better. Setup is easy but limited on the app. I also have not found a way to not broadcast the SSID name publicly.

The Wi-Fi system is pretty great. The set was pretty easy right out of the box. The set up process was relatively quick, however you will need to download the Linksys app to complete the set up. The app seemed like it it froze a few time during the set up for the first module, but after about 3 tries it linked up to my network. The 2nd module was easier to link and set up. The only draw back so far would be the lack of Ethernet ports per module, there are only 2 per module, but that can be fixed with a Ethernet switch if you like to have certain things wired, like your gaming system. The app is pretty basic but i like how you can prioritize certain linked devices to receive more bandwidth over other connected devices.

Coverage was good for 2500 sq ft. home, but speed was mediocre. I'm comparing to an older Netgear X8 router. It is great for someone who wants to set it up once and never look at it again. However, for myself, I need something with more features, such as A/V protection, which is provided by most other companies. Another missing featuer would be a USB connection for external drives. Value-wise it's worth it at $199 sale price, but not at $399 regular price. For ~$300 you can get much higher speeds and better coverage.

I resisted buying this based on the cost. I regret not buying sooner. I set this up in a rectangle shaped apartment that had the Comcast modem/router in the far end and terrible reception throughout. I've tried APs and extenders. Nothing really worked. This was a little hard to install because of comcast (I was also changing out the Comcast modem). Linksys had incredible 24x7 phone support and walked me through everything. The Linksys app is easy and helpful. Configuration was also easy. Reception is now incredibly strong and stable. Pages load faster on all the devices and we had about 1 dozen devices between phones, tablets, PCs and streaming set top boxes.

I had att internet and it was really weak. Att told me to get WiFi extenders to boost the signal around my house. After spending over 200 dollars in WiFi extenders, I noticed NO CHANGE. Went to the Best Buy store and they recommended velop. I was reluctant to buy but I did anyway. It works awesome. Covers a large area and it’s super fast. You can also control everything from the app and see who is on your internet. Streaming movies thru Netflix or amazon prime, kids playing video games, and listening to music all at the same time and you don’t loose any speed. Amazing product. Great job Linksys and Best Buy. Horrible job ATT.

I've had WiFi issues for a long time and this product solves it all. Great coverage, fast transfer speed, and can handle as many devices you throw at it. I've constantly got 20 devices connected to the WifI and this system keeps me running at full speed. It's pricey, but worth the money if you have a large home.

Excellent range and coverage. Had issue with my ISP issued modem+router which I am leasing, this has helped resolve issue with great signal though out the house and front/back yard. Best part is the zero error, zero glitch simple setup. I have never experienced such ease in setting up other routers. If you are worried about setup, go ahead and buy and experience the seemless install, does take a few mins but its a one time. You can leave your phone/device activating with next to each node and it will do its job !

Bought the Linksys Velop Tri Band hoping to expand the coverage in our house and increase speeds. We were having issues where our WiFi would drop in areas of the house and also lag during video chats. I installed the 3 nodes around the house (1 upstairs, 2 downstairs in the front and back) in under 45 minutes. Super easy to do with the linksys app on my phone. WiFi speeds more than doubled and I can now get WiFi anywhere in the yard as well. We can stream hd movies, video chat, play Xbox online all over WiFi at the same time with no issues at all. Very happy with this purchase!

So I've been a longtime Apple Extreme user and have been happy with it, but with Apple phasing these out I decided to make the switch. At the same time, I was looking for a mesh solution to extend coverage especially given that we have some thick stone to get through in a few places. This system has worked very well. Wasn't difficult to setup and the speed has been very good. No issues. I wish there were more features that could be cusomized, but I think some of those are coming based on what I've read. I have also participated in a couple Linksys product surveys and think I'm saying the same as others. Great system, great that it just works, but give us a few additional features. I highly recommed it.

The Tri-Band Mesh WI-FI is beyond all that I anticipated. So please that I bought this. Numerous reasons to own: 1. simple and easy set up 2. parental controls AND monitoring 3. ability to use as a motion detection with alerts to your phone when you are away 4. INCREDIBLE RANGE! My house is double bricked (Built In the 50's). My previous wi-fi barely made it out side of the home. This set up has NO issues broadcasting outside of the home.

Long Story Short - Buy this router if you have trouble connecting all your devices to your wifi network and you want something that is a bit more "future proof." Actual Long Story - After sticking with an AirPort Extreme (yes, it is a bit expensive for what you get) I decided to finally make the jump for a mesh network based router. After reviewing what the best options are on the market, I had consulted with the sales representatives at my local Best Buy and we had narrowed it down to either the Google Wifi, Orbi, or Velop. Each had their own unique functions, but simply put, the Velop offers a large coverage area (per unit) and has the capability to utilize all the speeds you would need (unlike the Google Wifi). Please refer to the summary above for my justification on why the Velop is a "smart choice" (pun intended).
