I have used the Velop system for over 30 days and it's definitely worth the upgrade. It was on sale and I decided to give it a try. I was worried because I have FiOS but there hasn't been much issues. The only concern I had happened one week after my initial purchase. It kept dropping my Internet connection but I reset the system from my app and i haven't had any issues since. My upstairs TV gets perfect connection and I can tell the difference between the Fios Gateway and Velop Router. Picture has never looked clearer.

In my view the system is an unbelievable improvement over my optimum smart wi-fi router & netgear extender. I have three Roku devices that went from a good connections to excellent ones with this linksys velop mesh wi-fi system, I even get a great connection outside my home. I am very pleased, and chose this system based on consumer reports it's the only one with security settings which is important, aswell as the same best price for black or white and only at bestbuy.

The Linksys - Velop AC2200 Tri-band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 3 pack is. working very well with effective distributed reception throughout a two story home. The garage and an upstairs become were real dead zones until the Velop was installed. Full bases in the bedroom and nearly full bars in the garage. I have only had the system installed for four days so I can't comment on how well the system will work over time after I add a 4K television in another upstairs room.

I was hoping I didn’t have to go this route but glad I did. Wasn’t quite sure because I’m not a network person and was tired of being on the phone with the cable company. So, I literally plugged the system in and spread it throughout the house (one on each level) and within a few moments, I was totally connected. I then went immediately to the known areas where connectivity was weak and the signal never dropped. Pricy, but well worth the investment.

The Velop system solved all of my WiFi related issues from streaming TV to surfing the web to faster response times of all my connected smart products. My only issue was with the initial setup. I had to have the nodes within a few feet of the main unit for installation to work. I was then able to move them where needed. Additionally, my ISP went down the next day and instead of resetting the system as instructed, I had to complete a full new installation. Linksys customer service was not able to tell me why I had to do that.

Works well, just doesn't cover my house as described on the box and website. Total square footage covered isn't true or accurate. My initial purchase only covered part of my house not all of it as described. I had to go buy two more nodes. Definitely wasn't in my budget to do that. If I had to do it again, I'd use a different mesh wi fi system that's not as expensive.

      Hi, Kalani,

We appreciate the feedback you have with the system. The range specifications on each node are based on performance test results under normal use case conditions. Factors such as wireless obstructions, operating environments and building material can affect the actual performance of the Velop system.

Please let us know if you’re encountering setbacks with the system through an email at [email protected] with your contact details and the link to this post as a reference, so we can have our Escalation Engineers have a close look at it.

Looks Good, But feels like I was Beta testing August 23, 2017 lovethetech from Ghent, NY, USA First node went fine, second node went fine, third node acted up. Once I got it going wirelessly, set it up to use Ethernet per manufacturers instructions. This worked but I noticed major drops in speed and node switching was almost non existent. This happened while it was set up wirelessly as well. App is useless, showed devices connected to wrong nodes, and wouldn't show some devices that were connected, I could ping these using the app, but wouldn't show them connected. This makes parental controls useless. Some forums are telling people to ignore the app....What? Linksys pushes the app from the get go, and makes the user hunt for the web interface, which doesn't seem to have all the same features as the app. This system was supposed to replace a well functioning Linksys EA9500. The app for that works fine. This app for this system, not so much. I would log in and it would show 10 devices connected, close the app and restart immediately and it would show 18 devices connected. It would report node disconnection when there was none. One node would get bypassed altogether by every device even if it was right next to it, the only way to get something to connect to it was to force it by shutting wifi off on the device and then turning back on. Even then after a few moments it would disconnect and move to any other node. These were not placed in a bad spot, was told by set up app that placement was,"just right". I even ordered three more nodes thinking I got a bad batch, and was planning on returning the first three. I tried every configuration for an entire weekend. Reset to factory settings, reinstalled, etc. etc., but no go, same issues as the first three. I really wanted this to work. When You look at the forums you will see that every problem I ran into, is listed and talked about, These are not new problems. This is a very competitive market for mesh systems and it seems like Linksys rushed this out for people to buy and they would fix the problems as they came in. A very Microsoft way of during things. For the price that's charged for these, you would think they would have tested this a little more thoroughly. I like Linksys, I have only used Linksys routers and switches but this product for me is a HUGE fail. I packed all six up nodes and returned to best buy. Unpacked my EA9500, which I had already set to factory settings to sell, and hooked it back up using the smart wifi app. Was up and running in 6 1/2 minutes...yes, I timed it. I would recommend holding off buying this until these issues have been addressed. Do your own research and you'll see.
