Bought this to replace the FIOS router I got with my gigabit internet service. Currently have a 2000+sqft townhome and placed one access point in the basement and one on the second floor. Now I get strong wifi everywhere in the house. Also, props to the mobile app team, because their mobile app for the router is amaizing. I can see the IP of every device, reserver that IP, and even see which access point the device is connected to. Love this product and I plan to buy a third access point soon just for the heck of it.

Over hyped and didn’t fix my issue. This “new tech” of mesh routers and such is a great though but for multiple story houses with concrete basements, it did little to nothing. with a standard nighthawk router i got better signal throughout my house opposed to using these. they work for surfing the web but that’s all.

      Hi,

The Velop system can deliver up to 2,000 sq ft of WiFi coverage per node. You can add additional nodes to your existing Velop network to work around thick walls, problem areas, or multiple stories. Should you need assistance, you can reach out to us at LinksysCares@linksys.com and share more details with the link to this review for our reference.

It's better than eero, but after an update some times you have to restart, cause the connection is slow.

After having many routers, repeaters, and extenders over the years this is the best wifi experience by far. This system is overly simple to setup and control and gives full coverage of wifi signal in places a standard router cannot touch. If you are paying good money for a strong internet service this mesh system is a must have. I am streaming 4k videos in a separated garage across my property with ease. Worth every penny.

Good coverage but frustrating system at times

Purchased with an additional AC Node to extend coverage to an enclosed deck (because of an exterior brick wall.) The system worka well in terms of covering the house in range. But the problem with the system is that you cannot set up the system in any way do that devices that always stay in one place (TVs, TV boxes, WiFi based security panels or cameras/doorbells) connect to a specific node. They connect to whatever node they connect to in the Velop system-which may be the furthest node in the home and lowest signal strength. Next time (or 30 min later) they may connect to a different node. Overall, we’ve had the nodes and system drop off randomly a few times and have to just reset (app on your phone that works mostly decently). The speed test on the Linksys app consistently shows a much higher speed test than an independent speed test app. So, 3/5 stars for good coverage (improved over the ATT Fiber router/modem that comes with system) but some frustratingly inconsistent performance. With ATT Fiber, I had to go in and disable WiFi on the router/modem as you HAVE to still use their router/modem. The Primary Velop Node plugs into that. That was the only ‘difficult’ part of setup.

      Hello, Nashville,

Thanks for writing us a review. Disabling the Node-steering feature of the Velop can also do the trick. Make sure as well that the firmware of the device is up to date to help optimize its performance. Please email us a [email protected] with your contact details and the link to this post so we can have our Escalation Engineers to further assist you.

      Best regards,
