If you downloaded the latest Linksys App and your Velop's firmware is updated, this shouldn't be happening. As for the Velop's coverage, we'll have one of our Escalation Engineers optimize your network settings and help you properly position each node to achieve the best Wi-Fi range that your Velop can deliver. I thought the first pair would be enough for my 1400 square foot home but the reception drops right outside my door (the reason for a 4 star rating). I decided to live with the dropped reception until I saw that Best Buy had it on sale. Easy to add to my first pair and now can use my device outside.
