Nice system, Junior to Netgear Orbi 6600AX

Great for what it does. Comparable speed and stability to Eero 6 Pro. Longer range and reach through walls and across rooms. Ultimately chose the Netgear Orbi 6600AX because the speed was 2x-3x faster than the Linksys Velop.

Expensive mesh system but it has a few issues

Linksys's top of the line mesh system at the time I bought it. Not too difficult getting set up. Great that the devices have multiple ethernet ports to cut down on unnecessary switches. Only issues are with the devices themselves. Node Steering is poor or just doesn't work. I have a lot of home automation accessories. Many will join a weak node floors away instead of one literally 6 feet away, direct line of sight. Seems like a common complaint online. These nodes also do NOT work with Verizon FiOS. gigabit plan and upload speed is limited to 10mbps. I install an old low end wifi router and get 300-700mbps. Also a common complaint online. More than a year and no fix from Linksys yet. Very expensive for having these issues.

I was looking at spending thousands on wiring my home for ethernet... until my brother recommended getting a mesh system. After some research - I picked this trio up and love it. Easy setup, no issues, and great speed.

Fix Parental Control Internet Scheduling Linksys

First off, the setup was easy. My home network is up and running within 15 minutes. The app interface is very intuitive and very user-friendly. The web interface is not far behind either. Since my 1st gen google wifi has not been delivering the speeds I am paying for with Xfinity, I decided to jump the gun and buy this router. After setup, there is a significant increase in my internet speeds. While standing in front of the farthest node, where I usually don't break 100 Mbps with my google wifi, I am now reaching up to 400Mpbs. My service is at 1Gbps. I wanted to give this system 5 stars however, the parental control feature is not working. Manually disabling the internet through the app works but, the internet schedule will only work with IPv6 disabled as suggested by Linksys customer support. But, disabling IPv6 caused issues with my IoT. I have seen this same issue on other Linksys routers via the Linksys community. One complaint was back in 2018.

    Great Wireless System

We purchased this to replace an Orbi plus two satellite bundle with a dead main unit. I feel like Velop is a MUCH BETTER option in how it's conceived. After all, if anything should ever happen to one of the units, I can simply replace it with another unit -- they're all the same. Overall, our Velop system has worked well for us so far. I do wish that the signal strength was a hair better (our old house is not friendly to wireless signals), but we haven't had any problems with dropped connections or speed, so I suppose I can't really complain. Both the admin app and the admin web interface have worked well. In general, I've had better results with Linksys products over Netgear products in the last 5 years or so.

The Linksys Velop AX4200 Wifi 6 system is a great option for home networking. Previously, I was using Apple Airport Extremes throughout my house, but they kept dropping the signal and crashing. I finally broke down and purchased this system, and I am very glad that I did. I have not had a single issue with the signal, and my speed has dramatically increased. Pros: - extremely easy setup, the app walks you through the process - very fast, stable connection - no issues handling the 38 things in my house with a wifi connection - changing settings is very straight forward Cons: - cost, I had never spent this much on a router before Overall, I would definitely recommend this mesh router system. The stability, speed and ease of use make it very much worth it.

This Linksys system has been a freakin lifesaver! WOW! It's simply amazing. We had a very slow internet and the wifi was awful in our house and with 2 kids doing online learning right now, it was really hard. Our wifi was not strong enough to reach all areas of the house either. It was just a bad situation. So we ended up getting this and now our wifi and internet is AMAZING! Our internet speed is super fast all over our 2400 sq foot house now. I love that you can put the different nodes in different areas of your home for perfect connections. There is one plugged into the modem upstairs and the other 2 are wireless and downstairs. It works amazing and we have no problems at all now. I HIGHLY recommend you buy this!

Replaced a NetGear Nighthawk AD7200 with this Linksys system, and WOW. The best speed I receive from last the NetGear was around 600mbps. I have AT&T fiber 1Gbps. Linksys Velop showed 969Mbps Download, and 940Mbps upload on WiFi. Everything just connects up with zero issues. We have Ring setup, thermostat, and indoor wifi cameras. Everything connected and has been solid. I didn't end up setting up the 3rd unit - since WiFi is so much stronger downstairs now. Really great product - very impressed. I rarely write reviews, and had to for this one.

I bought this system to replace a MX 5200 Linksys system. I was having dropouts and areas of poor coverage even with four towers. I had read that the 4200 line was three channel and was a much better system for having multiple devices on the network. It did the job, much more stable net work, much more broad base coverage. The fact that it integrates with HomeKit is a nice plus, although I don’t use it because I use it Bridge mode with a Firewalla router/Gateway. I get download speeds of 3 to 500 MB, upload speeds of 40

WOW, what a great product. I was using my decade old Apple Airport Extreme in our 2500' home and it just started working more poorly every day, so it was time for a jump up. After doing some homework on what would not only work best, be a bit of an overkill as well as being future proof with WiFi 6. I didn't want to spend $1k+ for 6e so this was my choice. Glad I made it. Set up was really easy, step by step via the Linksys app using the Bluetooth feature, one node after the other. Even kept the same WiFi network name & password as my removed Airport Extreme and all my devices came right back online!!!!

So far this purchase has met my expectations. The price tag is too hefty. I understand that it’s like purchasing three routers, but since two of them function as access points you would think they would lower the price. I haven’t had any problems yet so, I’m happy. My wallet it not.
