You need Mesh Network
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While my overall experience with the Linksys Velop Pro 6E Tri-Band Mesh System has been overwhelmingly positive, I must admit that I was a little disappointed with limited RJ45 connectors on each node. With a network as extensive as mine, having more physical Ethernet ports directly on each node would have been incredibly convenient. I see other models have it but just cost more. I decided to purchase a separate network switch that allowed me to expand the number of wired connections available. Setup and Installation: The setup process was surprisingly easy and straightforward. The Velop app guided me through each step, and within minutes, I had the entire mesh system up and running. The three-pack allowed me to distribute the nodes around my home, I got coverage in every corner of my house. Linksys has done a good job in simplifying the setup process. Performance and Coverage: The Velop Pro 6E mesh system has delivered pretty good performance throughout my testing period. I have around 27 devices connected, including TVs, laptops, switches, servers (small one), phones, iPads, cameras, garage, solar panel system, AC unit, and other things. So far things are stable and running well. Its only been about 5 days. no drop or disconnections. From what I can tell the additional 6GHz band helps reduce interference with some other devices. Pros: Easy setup and installation process Excellent performance with tri-band technology Seamless roaming and device handoff User-friendly app Reliable and stable connectivity for all devices Cons: The price might be higher compared to traditional routers, but the performance justifies the cost. Overall, the Linksys Velop Pro 6E Tri-Band Mesh System is a top-notch solution for anyone seeking a powerful and reliable mesh network that can handle a multitude of connected devices with ease.

Excellent Wi-fi Mesh System
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unboxing the Linksys Velop Pro 6E Mesh Router, you will find the 3 nodes and power supplies, a short ethernet cable, and a Quick Start card. The nodes have a 3.75” square foot print and stand 7.75” tall. The power supplies feature a permanently affixed 4’ cord with a barrel connector. Overall, the setup process was very fast and painless. Directions for setup and configuration are provided through the Linksys app, which I installed on an Android phone. I had the nodes configured and positioned throughout the house in just minutes after unboxing. Coverage has been excellent and switching between nodes seamless. Speeds on the main router as well as the child nodes is excellent. The tri-band functionality has also performed flawlessly: Older devices that rely on a 2.4ghz band that had previously had a hard time connecting to my old ISP-provided router connected and worked without issue with the new Linksys network. The Linksys app has provided a great view into the details of my new network. Not only can I see what devices are on it, but I can see what node they are attached to and what band they’re utilizing. It also provides additional functionality such as a Speed Check and Parental Controls (scheduling pauses or blocking websites). Overall, the Linksys Velop Pro 6E Mesh Router has been a great upgrade to my old hodge podge network. I highly recommend it.

Fast and Stable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mesh Wifi is a game changer. Set up is a breeze using the Linksys mobile app. I was up and running all 3 nodes in less than 30 minutes. The range on these devices is the best I have ever seen as well. At first I thought I would need all 3 nodes, but just one covered my 2200sq foot home. I decided to place another node in my garage, which isn't attached to my home. Then the 3rd node to my wife's nail salon, which is also not attached to my home. Thats right, this set up has given me WIFI in 3 separate buildings. Thats how powerful these nodes are. Overall, the speeds are incredibly fast, sitting around 900mbps at each node. I have no speed loss between each device. I am able to set up guest networks for visitors and print out QR codes that makes it easier for people to connect without ever actually giving them a password. These things are incredible, it's almost unbelievable how far wifi networking has come. I think that the ease of use has made all the difference. Whether it's for your home business or just your home, the Velop series is a great addition to my daily life.

Fast and Reliable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super fast and better coverage than my last router! Only had one dropout so far and moved a node to a different room, seems to be better now. The app could use some work though, it's not easy to find how to change it from 2.4ghz to 5ghz and it keeps indicating something is wrong with my nodes with a red and white exclamation point icon even though everything is working just fine.

Quality mesh system, not only just about Wifi 6e
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Linksys Velop Pro 6e mesh system is definitely an upgrade to my 2019 internet mesh system. The new kid on the block is the Wifi 6e technology, the newest Wifi protocol that is supported by the Velop Pro. The router system supports 2.4, 5 and 6 Ghz connection. The higher the frequency is, the wider the data bandwith. In real world terms, this means that the chance for lag or stuttering when accessing high bandwith data, such as when playing a 4K video over the air in a place where internet access is being shared by many devices, would be slimmer. However, 6 Ghz transmission coverage is shorter than 2.4 Ghz connection. This makes the case for a mesh system in which the shorter transmission coverage is compensated by the mesh system in order to cover a large space sufficiently. So a 6 Ghz mesh system should be able to bring you the best of both worlds: coverage and high bandwith connection. Does the mesh system work? Yes. Since 6 Ghz Wifi is relatively a new technology, most Wifi system out there still uses 2.4 and 5 Ghz technology. That gives the Velop Pro 6e a great advantage because the 6 Ghz frequency will not be that saturated thus giving you a higher chance of securing a quality Wifi connection. Each Velop Pro node can cover about 3000 square feet in ideal condition. Of course, in real world one has to take into account a number of factors such as frequency saturation and physical obstacles such as thick wall. If you live in the city, there’s a lot of radio interference everywhere. Even when you live in a less populated neighborhood in the suburb where Wifi saturation is not a problem, your wall makes it difficult for the Wifi to reach every part of the house. With the mesh system, you can place one node to cover the first floor of your home, the second node to cover the second floor and the last node to cover the backyard/ garage. The mesh system is scalable so you can add up more nodes as needed, especially in an area where internet connection stability is important. So, a medium size home or a home that has multiple floors will take benefit from this mesh system. The design and color of the device looks more like an air purifier or smart speaker, which is good because it can easily blend into the décor of your home. One important feature of the mesh system is the ability to monitor your Wifi connection and control it on the fly. There’s a ton of features that are useful especially if you have a family with kids/ teens, such as parental control and the ability to manage Wifi content. You can do that by using the app. So overall, this is a solid product for those who care about quality Wifi coverage and connection.

The 6E mesh I have been waiting for
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have past experience with Linksys products for networking, having used a router some years ago with an old arris modem that didn't have built-in wifi capabilities. More recently I had not needed a separate router as the more recent modem come with competent wifi router features. I have become aware though that having a mesh system in my house would greatly improve speeds to some of my tech, including my main gaming area which is on the other side of the house from the modem. I had been holding out for 6E capable wifi and I had already decided that Linksys was my goto brand from that past experience. In comes the Linksys Velop Pro 6E mesh. This being my first mesh experience I didn't know what to expect really. But initial impressions have been that these things are small, which I have previously considered not ideal for antenna purposes (more surface area is good). Well my worries were not warranted, with this three piece set I have been able to extend my wifi signal with greater than 80% strength as far as 600 feet beyond the farthest exterior wall from my modem. The main obstructions are the walls of the house and a few shrub trees, but that puts the edge of a strong signal over a thousand feet from the modem. Farther than that I was receiving a signal but it was spotty and dropped speed pretty quick. Still enough to type an email and send it though. This is particularly good for me as I plan to crate solar powered, element proof stations on some land I own that I plan to use for a new home and this network will give me internet across the whole property. Really exciting! The app and setup for these was super easy. Maintaining and adding security protocols is a snap and it's a pretty fast and efficient app too. Overall, this is a fast and powerful solution for creating a mesh network that will give you a crazy amount of coverage. I highly recommend it.

Great Mesh Wifi System
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This new mesh system is replacing our Linksys Velop AX4200 that is 3 years old. Taking the new nodes out of the box I noticed immediately that the new Velop Pro 6E nodes are much smaller and more modern with curves vs large square towers. So right away I liked the new look and smaller footprint from Linksys. For setup it was the same Linksys app we've known for years so that was also a plus for me knowing exactly how to navigate it. Next was probably the only negative of the whole experience... the time to set up. The pairing of the nodes and then their subsequent software updates do take some significant time so that did have my network down for a while for the family. However, after that setup was complete the network has been smooth sailing. The new network has now been up 100% of the time, updates the software on its own and runs around 50 devices for the house. We have cameras, laptops, phones, tvs, appliances, sprinkler system, garage door openers, etc. all connected and working perfectly with constant access. With the Linksys app you can see all of these connections and give priority to the most important devices. You can also utilize parental controls to block website and schedule device pauses which is very handy for limiting our kids without having to pay for a separate service. As in the past, the app also allows you to send a restart to the router. Finally, I would also like to mention one cool new option with the app which is Night Light. You can program the lights on the nodes to turn off at certain times of the evening. So overall, we are very happy that we updated our mesh router with the newest model as it has brought stability to our internet access and I would recommend the router for anyone looking for the latest and greatest router to operate their smart home.

Velop Continues to Deliver
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the latest installment of the Velop, supporting the 6 GHz band and a multitude of WiFi technologies to allow seamless internet connection through multiple devices. With the many options for mesh network routers on the market, for the Velop to stand out it would have to be based on quality and ease of use. Starting with the setup process, it for the most part was ok. The only hiccup was when the app was saying to wait for the blinking lights to be solid, but they never did turn solid. I decided to proceed anyways and it worked fine. Aside from that, it was a very easy process and can take less than 5 minutes to do. The mobile app is a little lacking in features. and the browser app makes up for some of it. For this to be called a pro model, it would have been nice to include some more monitoring metrics. At the very least, being able to see what device is connected to which node would be helpful, not to mention that other routers can show network usage per device as well. No USB connectivity for network storage and fewer ports compared the previous generation Velops, it really needs to be asked if this can be called a Pro model at all. However, the speed that this provides is second to none. Compared to my previous mesh network from TP-Link, the speeds I am getting wirelessly upstairs have basically doubled. Linksys has done a great job developing their mesh network technology and it certainly shows through this product. Overall, I am happy with how this turned out. Over time, I can only hope the software gets improved and the Velop continues to be reliable. I have not had any restarts or outages so far and the speeds have remained consistent throughtout my usage.

A Simple Setup for All
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In the modern landscape of home connectivity, a swift, reliable, and robust internet connection has become an essential cornerstone. Our day-to-day routines are intricately woven with its reliability, whether it entails working remotely or indulging in a Netflix marathon from the confines of a bedroom located quite a distance from the central router. Yet, the realm of networking terminology – routers, modems, the nuances of 5GHz versus 2.4GHz, and the intricacies of mesh systems – can readily confound the average individual. We all want to establish a seamless internet presence, extending its reach to every nook and cranny of the household. Yet, the question of where to start is often pondered. This is where products like this Linksys mesh system step in, offering a simplified approach to the conundrum. While I would characterize myself as reasonably adept in technological matters, I'm hardly a network expert. Nevertheless, the systematic guidance provided by the Linksys mesh system facilitated an impressively smooth setup process, resulting in an outcome that left me utterly content. For those who, like me, may have harbored reservations about navigating the setup of a mesh system independently, rest assured, those worries are unfounded. With diligence to the provided setup instructions, the process unfolds with remarkable ease. However, it's worth noting that a modem compatible with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) remains a prerequisite. It's important to emphasize that the mesh router system under scrutiny does not encompass modem functionality. In my own scenario, with Xfinity as my ISP, procuring an Xfinity-compatible modem from a reliable source like Best Buy proved to be a straightforward task. An additional noteworthy advantage lies in the liberation from the practice of leasing equipment from the ISP, translating into a reduction in monthly expenditures and enhancing the overall value proposition of this purchase. In summation, this Linksys mesh system serves as an embodiment of seamless integration of modern technology into our daily lives, transforming what could be perceived as intricate and bewildering into a manageable and rewarding experience.

WIFI 6E Mesh System with some quirks
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Linksys Velop 6E Tri-Band Mesh Router System is the cat's meow when it comes to the bleeding edge wireless technology. The Wireless Mesh System comes complete with 3 x Linksys MX6203 Nodes or 1 x Router and 2 Satellite units. The setup was a bit of a mixed bag. Getting the main "Router" unit setup is as simple as unboxing and connecting to your cable modem and downloading the App from either the Apple or Google Play Store. Once you have the main "router" unit plugged into power and your cable modem, tap on the Linksys App will walk you through the setup process. The setup was pretty straightforward, however that's where the simplicity stops. Next step is to unbox the 2 satellite units and plug them into power. Instructions on the app tell you to keep the satellite units within 10 feet of the main "Router" Unit. This is where the mixed bag statement comes from. Testing was done with the 2 Satellite units right next to the "Router" unit and within 10 feet of the main "Router" unit. It took 2 factory resets and full app setups to get the Satellite units setup and connected to the Mesh Network. Give yourself at least 1-2 hours of setup time and some patience, it will be worth the small headaches during setup to get the best wireless coverage for a house of 9000 sq Feet. This system was tested with a 930sq foot Townhome with 3 floors and metal in the walls and coverage was better than expected once the units were placed on all 3 floors. Your milage will vary when using this system, however it's highly recommended if you need the best wireless coverage under $500.00.

Wifi 6E is better than Wifi 5
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setting the 3 up right next to each other is much cleaner and eaiser than the previous Wifi 5 Linksys 2 wifis I previously owned. Once quickly setup, the new ones could be moved very quickly anywhere else in the house. Make sure you delete the previous Linksys Wifi router info to start fresh.
