I replaced a defective NETGEAR router that was defective right out of the box. The Linksys router was easier to set-up, and has better range. The only thing I see is ot isn't quite as fast. It's close enough where I won't purchase another NETGEAR product. NETGEAR customer service is absolutely atrocious, and that's not hyperbole.

I got really fast speeds in my basement with a direct connection to the mesh system. The Wi-Fi speeds were OK even when being close to the units. Overall, I was pretty happy with this product but what was the dealbreaker was the app. No notifications for when new devices come on your network. Hard to tell what even is connected because the description isn’t very good. Also parental controls setting sleep schedules not very good. Just a very buggy app and that’s what killed it for me.

A Wi-Fi net system that just works.
I have had zero issues with this outstanding. Long range system.
When you are looking for reliability and an item that you don’t interact with often ,it’s a great feeling to just set it once and you’re done
This is that type of item, attractive, unintrusive, and quietly does a mules work
Great purchase

My eero router recently stopped working and I was planning on purchasing the newer model. Instead, while I was shopping, a Best Buy employee persuaded me to test the Linksys Velop Pro product. His recommendation was great! The product was incredibly easy to setup through the Linksys app. The few dead spots that existed in my home while using the eero product have vanished since setting up my new Linksys.

I bought these because even after upgrading to ATT fiber, we were having issues with getting good coverage to the upstairs parts of our house and would often lose coverage. These fixed that right away and I was blown away by the speeds. Took our speeds from 300 Mbps to 800 Mbps. I was blown away. I don't have anymore connection issues or dead/slow spots in the house. So glad I bought these! The Linksys app made the setup process a breeze also.

Replaced my Eero 6+ because I was having random internet disconnection and reliability issues. I upgraded to this device and I had coverage from the first floor (700mbps+ ups / down) all the way to the third floor (24mbps ups / down) with only one node which is impossible with a single Eero!
Added a second node on the third floor via wireless backhaul and speed improved to (150 Mbps ups / down).
I proceeded with running and connecting the Ethernet cable (100ft CAT8) from the first node (first floor) to the second node (3rd floor) and now I'm getting 700mbps+ ups / down wirelessly on the first floor and third floor via wired backhaul configuration.
Wired ethernet devices are getting 900mbps+ downloads and uploads due to the limitation of 1GB from my service provider.
Per specification
Wi-Fi Speed
PHY rate up to 600 Mbps on 2.4GHz (2 spatial streams @ 40MHz channel width)
PHY rate up 2400 Mbps (2 spatial streams @ 160MHz channel width) on 5GHz
PHY rate up 2400 Mbps (2 spatial streams @ 160MHz channel width) on 6GHz
Ports
One (1) Gigabit (10/100/1000 Mbps) WAN port
One (1) Gigabit (10/100/1000 Mbps) LAN port
My third node is currently sitting in the box. Might add it as close as I can to the backyard... which I'm currently getting 150mbps up / down without the third node added.

Wanted a Powerful, fast mesh system that could cover a 4 BR house AND a large yard (pool and patio etc.) THIS Velop Pro 6E checked all the boxes. It advertised coverage at 9,000 square feet and doesn't disappoint. Signal and WiFi speed excellent, Great for doing laptop work in the back yard. Speed Test still showed 50mbps as the street outside th peoperty. Easy setup with Linksys App.

Easy to setup with relatively fast speeds. However, the nodes lose communication rather easily and the app has its glitches.

Hi Jack,
Please verify whether the nodes are operating on the most recent firmware to ensure a more stable connection. Additionally, assess their signal strength, check potential obstructions that may be causing node disconnections. Also, ensure that you are using the latest version of the app, which offers enhanced security and improvements.

I installed this set up in a 2-story house with concrete walls and it was able to cover all of the lower floor and the upper floor with just 3 nodes. I also have the older velop setup that I use in a 2400 sq ft single level home and I need 6 nodes to keep the signal at full strength. Not so with this thing. IDK what they did, but this thing is amazing (and fast).

Most unreliable wifi ever

I wanted to upgrade from my Wifi 5 EERO to WiFi 6e and avoid a monthly subscription charge. I have lots of experience with networking, so this system seemed to fit the bill. I have a small 1500sq ft wood frame home, so three nodes seemed plenty. Unfortunately, it provides the most unreliable WiFi I have ever experienced. Where to start?
The android app failed during initial setup. It claimed that I was offline even though I was not. Fortunately, I also have an iPhone and the iOS app was at least able to complete setup. But the app is still awfully slow. It randomly claims there is no internet connection, but force closing it and reopening it usually resolves the issue. I thought the EERO app wasn't particularly impressive, but the Linksys App is beyond basic.
Even after initial setup, the system has been nothing but a headache. Random devices lose WiFi at random times. I have lots of connected devices, like smart speakers, and have to power cycle some of them daily. Child nodes also randomly disconnect and need power cycled. You also can't decide how they connect. Sometimes a child node will connect to the other child node rather than the main router/node that's much closer, causing problems. You just have to keep turning it on and off until it makes up its mind. But it may not last.
The app constantly blames your ISP and asks you to check for outages. The thing is, I connected a switch to the ethernet output on the main node and anything hardwired works like a charm. I don't experience any hiccups on wired devices, it is just the Wifi that's beyond temperamental. Absolutely regret missing the return window.

Hi, KJ718,
Several factors may contribute to unstable Wi-Fi, and properly isolating them will provide a clearer understanding of the situation. In the meantime, you can assess the signal strength of the child nodes by checking their RSSI value. Depending on the results, we may need to relocate them and ensure they utilize less congested channels. Here are some useful links for guidance:

The performance is good once you are able to set it up. It is the setup which is why I reduced the scoring. The system configuration is too lengthy and complex especially when setting up the mesh. It is not very clear to the customer that they units need to be placed near each together first before separating around the home. Once the system is set up, the performance appears to be adequate.

Upgrading our home network after cutting the cord with cable was a must and this has been a significant improvement. Set-up was very easy with the Linksys app and we've seen a noticeable increase in our speeds. Coverage throughout our multilevel home is much better than our old mesh system as well. All around great 6e solution!

This mesh system really boosted my wifi signal strength! I live in a rural area and wasn't able to stream video in my basement. I simply positioned each node forming a signal chain which now allows me to stream movies in my basement home theater!
The set-up app is super easy to use and I was up and running in no time!

i don’t like to read reviews when someone just bought a tech product because you really don’t know how it’s going to work out. So I waited 7+ months to share during which time I’ve toiled under frustration and disappointment to the point I’ve reverted to my old system.
I was excited to get my Linksys Velop mesh units to replace my Google WiFi mesh that just couldn’t get the wireless speeds above 130 any longer. So I purchased this during the holidays and eagerly went to set it up.
Doing that was not a simple feat like I was used to, but a complex, 3 hour process until it finally worked. In hindsight that should have been my first clue about the future.
During the months since, the system has gone down on a fairly regular basis. Sometimes it just loses the signal from my Spectrum modem, and sometimes the child nodes disappear. A couple of times the parent node went offline too, taking the whole network down.
I am very tech oriented and understand how all of
This works and should work. Many weeks I’d spend an hour or two trying to get it right, only to have it go out a week or two later. I’ve chatted and spoken with level 1 and level 2 techs for close to 7 hours in two sessions with mixed results. They are kind people but really try to blame my ISP until I demonstrate that their equipment works. They walk me through multiple scenarios and we have wiped and added the system many times, but the process persists.
I think the thing that bothers me the most is this is obviously defective and combine that with a clearly buggy app, you would think they would replace these $400 bookends. It no, they have never admitted it could be their merchandise.
When this does work, it can get speeds over 400 mps so it is capable. But in my case it’s junk, and a lesson I’ve learned is to stay away from companies like Linksys who used to be leaders in IT equipment. Sorry to be so negative but this is my reality.
