So far so good. The wifi signal was much stronger than the signal I was used to for my cheaper mesh wifi. All my devices in my network connected instantly including my security cameras. The only thing that does not work is the speed test from router to modem. Professional reviewers have said that this wifi 7 is not as good as other systems but this system is over $400.00 cheaper so that makes sense. For my purposes it works just fine.

I used this in my church as a mesh system and it is very easy to manage and setup. I have 5 total nodes and along with the ports each node offers plenty of connections to accomplish the needs of my situation. Highly recommend.

It is my favorite brand, but there is a problem, the wifi is not covered throughout the house, and the distance is not as far as the instructions say.

great speed, only problem i had is that i had to reset and run set up again but instead of excepting my current linksys info I had to set it up as new router typing in the same router name and password as my old router. when router came online all my TV's and all my alexa devises worked fine. speed from my old wifi 5 was about 135 Mbs to about 500 Mbs on my YOGA lap top.

I purchased this to replace my nearly 7-year-old amplify HD system which never gave me problems but the max speed I could get out of it. Wirelessly was three or 400 Mb per second on my one gig fiber connection. So we purchased this bad boy for 799 with future proofing in mind being that it’s Wi-Fi 7. We got it home and set up was not too bad. Took about 15 minutes total. Speeds were pretty awesome, but we’re very spotty. if I ran five speed test in a row standing in the same spot sometimes I would be in the mid 200s and sometimes I would be in the mid 800s, the real issue is that the app is not very good and when I tried renaming connected devices like I had done on my amplify system, continuously locked up and had to be restarted. I had to login into the router from my laptop to make any changes that would stay. Also the connection was garbage and devices continuously fell off the network all over the house. I have about 3000 square-foot so the three no should’ve covered it with no problem because they advertise up to 9000 square-foot with this system. Multiple devices in my home like iPads and iPhones and laptops had serious buffering issues when walking around the house and signal was having to be switched from node to node. Issue with my amplify HD system. The nodes would also continuously disconnect from the router or each other and go off-line and would not reconnect unless you turn the off and back on with the manual switch. This problem happened with the standard 5 GHz backhaul as well as the multi channel backhaul that they have in the settings that is a beta version. I attempted to change several settings made a couple phone call to Linksys to no avail the problem still persisted. I purchased a nearly 3-year-old amplify alien 2Pac mesh system directly from amplifies website. I installed it and it took literally three minutes with a firmware update. The amplify alien system is only Wi-Fi six but delivers consistent speeds around 700 or 800 Mb per second consistently all over my house. After it ran for nearly 6 days without one single issue I returned this overprice Linksys system. I was having to mess with a Linksys system every single day, sometimes multiple times a day, connecting nodes and trying to get devices to connect and still having Wi-Fi buffering issues on multiple devices. With amplify alien, I haven’t had one single issue just like with the amplifier HD system that we were running for nearly 7 years before. My advice would be to save your money and buy a different system or try the older amplify HD unless you’re just dying to have Wi-Fi 7. It was only 450 with next day air shipping from Amplifi’s website.

Bought this to try and help out with a problem I've had with spectrum going out and buffering all the time. Also wanted wi-fi 7 system, because that is where the new technology is upgrading to. This system solved my problems. This system was so easy to setup and get running in hardly any time. My computer and phone download and upload speeds improved. I had a few questions in Best Buy and they were very helpful explaining the new technology.

I read a lot about WIFI7 and looked to the Velop mesh. I have had great experiences with their WiFi 6 and 6e. The 7 pro did not disappoint. Easy setup using the Linksys App.and I created a separate node to test. I saw 35 meg improvement instantly. And with the Best Buy tech recycling program I scored with a 15% off my purchase!

Great replacement for my 5 year on velop. Tried Orbi 7 $2300 system and returned after a week after multiple connection issues and poor paid for support. Velop always has free support for life. Bought this when it was on sale for $799.

Excellent mesh network for the average family

Velop setup is so easy with the Linksys app. The app instantly recognizes the node connected to the internet and the additional nodes that will be spread around the home. Once it is told the name of the network and the password, it configures everything in a few minutes, and the work is done. This is my third generation of Velop mesh networks. There have been improvements over the years. Despite the square footage estimates Linksys provides, I feel like they are for open wood frame warehouses, not homes. My 1,300-square-foot apartment needs three nodes to maintain proper network coverage. So, bigger homes will likely need more than 3 nodes unless I am somehow in an area with a lot of interference. I have over 40 devices including multiple computers, tablets, smart speakers, media players, smart home hubs, and a NAS connected to the network with a 1 Gbps fiber internet connection. The Velop system has zero trouble handling everything with the included 3 nodes. They advertise that a few hundred devices can be connected, but that is a bit challenging to test in a home environment. I absolutely love that each node has ethernet ports. This generation also increased back to 4 LAN ports per node, which comes in handy. It allows me to place one node near my media streaming devices and plug them in so they can sit close to each other without causing interference. The wireless network, ethernet ports, and wireless backhaul are very stable, which means streaming in the master bedroom is just as high quality as it is in the living room or on my main desktop. This new Velop Pro 7 system is supposed to exceed 10 Gbps speeds, yet I have no idea how that is accomplished. The WAN port is only 2.5 Gbps and the LAN ports are 1 Gbps so the only way that would be possible is from wireless device to wireless device. I tried to find a WiFi 7 adapter to truly test the maximum possible speeds, but they are not available yet. New phones and computers are mostly coming with WiFi 6E. At least this network should be able to keep up with most super users for years to come. Frustratingly, my WiFi 6E devices will not connect to the 6 GHz network, so I am not sure how compatible 6E is with 7 even though it says compatible with all previous generations of WiFi. They still work fine on 5 GHz. A pro and con of Velop is that the network nodes connect wirelessly to each other. Some brands expect people to physically connect all the nodes together, which is impossible for me to do. I am very thankful for the wireless backhaul, but there is a definite decrease in speed when connected to the primary node vs a secondary node. I ran speed tests between my devices and my NAS which should max out the 2.5 Gbps WAN connection. My phone has up and download speeds of around 500 Mbps when connected to the primary node, but only about 100-200 Mbps when connected to a secondary node (the says which node a device is connected to). My laptop with a WiFi 6E card says it is connected at 1201 Mbps, but speed tests to the NAS still have similar performance. That is still a ton of speed for most devices, but it is a dramatic difference for a network that can supposedly run faster than 10 Gbps. Now that network speeds are reaching, and supposedly exceeding 10 Gbps, I really wish at least one of the nodes had a 10 Gbps ethernet port or, even better, a SFP+ port to allow us to decide the best connection to the modem or other devices. My wired network for my desktop and NAS run at 10 Gbps, so it would be nice to connect everything at that speed, especially since it is advertised that this system can do it. Maybe we will see it in the next generation. Overall, the network gets the job done well and provides enough bandwidth for the average family to connect everything they use. I have seamless WiFi coverage throughout my home. It does technically slow down as I get away from the primary node, but my typical use when connected to the secondary nodes is not impacted. I would not know the speed is reduced if I was not rigorously testing the network, so the average consumer will most likely not notice. I would recommend it to someone who wants a system that is going to still be relevant a few years from now, as long as they are unlikely to need anything faster than 2.5 Gbps in that time.
