Too slow for most wireless needs

There are some factors that would cause a slow connection. The adapter is dependent from the speed from your router. To improve it, we suggest that you uninstall and reinstall it with an updated driver software. You may download it from this link: http://support.linksys.com/en-us/support/adapters/AE1200

How many computers have you tried with this device? What are the operating system/s running on those computers? How far is the adapter from the router? You may try changing the wireless channel of the router to 1, 6, 9 or 11 as the adapter might've been experiencing intermittent connection.

It doesn't drop constantly, but it does not stay connected like it should. My other device with built in wi-fi capability stays connected, Price is good as this is a cheap way to go.
