Beautiful desk if it was put together correctly.

Halfway through assembly and we found that one of the cabinets was split at the bottom. I don't believe it was due to shipping because the box looked fine on arrival. On further inspection, we found that the screws in the bottom cabinet slide were stripped and the wood face of the large file cabinet is too large to fit in the space it's supposed to. Ok so we moved the screws to new holes and now will have to plane the wood to make it fit correctly. Not exactly what i planned to do, but whatever. Otherwise this is a heavy, REAL wood desk that has a beautiful color. Once it's finished, we think it will last for years. Assembly without the issues wasn't too hard for one person, but you'll probablyneant two to maneuver the bigger pieces. Overall a good furniture piece, I just wish it would have come properly built. PS I called customer service and gave up after 15 minutes on hold and figured it would be easier to try and fix it ourselves than have a half finished desk.
