I have always had canon cameras for the past 5 years, when i upgraded and had to change the charger/battery i was concerned it wouldnt last long ( i travel alot and having to deal with fading batteries is ANNOYING, especially when outlets are limited) I charge this before i leave for week trips and i am good to go. This is an awesome battery and hasn't let me down yet and have had it for 2+ years. All my friends that have real batteries, are always running out and i end up taking all the pictures, so its worth investing in both the camera and battery in the long run!

I had one of these when I first bought my camera and have since needed to replace it. After about a year, it begins to lose the charge more quickly and eventually is almost useless as a battery for a digital camera. When new it is excellent. It charges quickly and holds the charge for hours of picture taking.

Great product, i've owned the camera for a few weeks and I love photography. I'm getting the second battery tomorrow, I have the 8 gig memstick so I figure I may as well have the battery capacity to take pictures.

I went with the Canon battery vs the cheaper aftermarket batteries. In my experience cheap batteries will work, at first. But, in the long run they will not have the life that a quality battery will. Wait for it to go on sale or use some reward coupons to get it at a lower price :)

My original Canon battery is now 14 years old. Does not hold a charge like when it was new, but lasts 50-60 pictures easily. When new, turning off the flash and LCD display I could take 350 pictures.

I have been very satisfied with this battery so far, it lasts quite a while, however a spare is recommended. You don't want to be in the middle of a wedding, or concert and have it die on you.

This battery lasts beyond the number of charges they guarantee.

My previous battery was 3 years old and wasn't holding a charge very long. This replacement battery returned to the camera usage life to it's original length. No issues with the product. Prompt delivery using BestBuy.com.

I find I need a back up battery for my camera. Using the GPS and Video will drain the battery life more quickly when used. I turn the camera off in between shots unless I'm shooting continuously. It saves on the battery life.

Overall, the battery works really great. The only downside is that it begins to lose its charge and can't hold to its power after using it for a year.

Have been using for more than a year. Works pretty good.
