Customers are enthusiastic about the Jitterbug Flip2's ease of use, size, and reasonable price, frequently citing the large buttons and easy-to-read display as key advantages. However, some users expressed concerns regarding battery life and the volume, while others noted limitations with texting and speed dial capabilities. The emergency button was also a frequently praised feature. Reception quality proved inconsistent for some customers.

Wonderful printer

It is more compact than my previous HP printer. I absolutely love this printer, easy to set up, quiet, quick and I don't have to change ink cartridges. Once I factored in the cost of cartridges over the year etc it was a no brainer. I also want to thank the HP rep in the Boynton Beach store he was most helpful.

This phone does the job: make and receive calls. Although the interface is fairly straight forward, this is not a good option for elders with early-mild dementia. Got this phone for my elderly mother and every day is groundhog day with explaining how to navigate it. She is also the type who never wanted to learn how to do anything for herself ever so that is the second portion of the battle.
There are plan options but we did not select the plan that enables the emergency alert/call so I cannot review that specifically. We also did not set up texting or test out the camera as those are too much for my mother to handle.
Overall the phone is decent but the individual who would use it should have decent cognitive capabilities. It is straight forward but does have 'extra steps' just to make a call which could over time become annoying.

Pretty easy to use - check dates - some have been in stock for over a year and need additional updates- we thought we had it all set up with a customer service person……
But it still wouldn’t work right - just needed that customer service person who knew about the updates - 4 tries to get someone that figured it out

A very simple phone that is great for the elderly or anyone that is averse to smart phones. As a smart phone owner I had to resort to reading instructions to set up speed dial for my elderly mother. But...phone is simple to use on a routine basis...open the lid, dial the number or press the speed dial #, talk and hang up by closing the phone. Can only hold a maximum of 9 numbers on speed dial but that is plenty for someone without too large of a contact list.

Great for Grandma

Needed an easy to use mobile phone without the bells and whistles. This was it. Grandma doesn't see very well and is a little shaky. It was easy to program the phone for speed dial numbers and she has a large print "menu" of which number calls who to help out. Answering and "hanging up" by simply opening and closing the phone are the intuitive steps she needs. I see some of the older reviews calling out the lack of these features so Lively must be listening. She'll never use it to take a picture or exchange a text so can't speak to that. Phone and plan was easy to get set up and get connected and economical. Met our needs.

Bought phone for my father, love the size of buttons but wish phone would be easier to make a simple phone call. Yes you can have contacts on speed dial, however not everyone in your contacts will be out on speed dial. When you select a contact you have to press ok like 4 times before you can place the call. Other than that phone works good and volume a great as well.

I bought this for my mother who had a smartphone but was a bit complicated as she is from the type writer generation and she loves it. Plus has an emergency button

This was an EXCELLENT choice for my father who is in a nursing home. We were able to easily program speed dial buttons so he doesn't need to enter 10 digits. It fits nicely in a pocket so he can take it with him to meals and activities.

I've just had the phone for a couple of weeks and so far, it's ok for the back-up purpose I have it for but only time will tell.

The Jitterbug Flip2 cell phone is a true investment. I purchased for my parents who are 92 and 93 years old. When they lose power in their home, we are able to keep in touch. Not complicated to use at all. They love the favorites and shortcut features. Thank you Lively Jitterbug

3 Stars - an average phone. Sound quality and volume is good, menu system is clumsy with way too many buttons to push to get anything done. It needs a “Delete All” menu item for voice-mails and especially for texts. Text messages display in a “window”, which makes them narrower than the screen. When you access a text the text menu stays on the screen and covers half of it so scrolling is mandatory to read even very short messages.
Battery life is okay, I never use the camera so no opinion on it. So far I'm happy with Lively's service.
This phone is not great, but it gets the job done. If you don’t want to deal with a “smart” phone you don’t have many options. I wish they could have upgraded my old “LG Env3" phone to 4G. That was an outstanding phone.

It's an easy to use flip phone. I didn't want a smart phone or be forced to buy a data plan. This phone is exactly what I needed as all I do is make phone calls on it. The numbers and keys are in larger print so that's an added bonus.
Lots of setup problems but eventually worked well.

Bought this for our 89 year old mother in law. The transfer from one provider to Lively took a visit to the other providers store and three very lengthy phone calls to finally get the transferred number onto the new Lively device. The Lively operators (two of them) told me that this happens all the time and about 50% require a couple of different troubleshooting actions to fix.
Once that occurred still the product needed to be restarted 3 times to get the highest volume (in and out) to be accepted and working.
The reason I am giving it 3 stars and not worse is because now that all of those problems have been worked through the phone works well and is easy for her to use.
