This is a great way to turn hard copy into digital. It's really tough to take notes on an iPad screen, but with this pen you can write on paper and sync instantly. I also like the upgrades than previous versions. It's light, thinner, and has a clip.

Full use of the pen is dependent on your mobile device. Without it, there's no voice recording.

This is amazing it does what it suppose to do great to keep data in your phone

Needed a tool for use while in my graduate program. This product allows me to write notes and keep them both electronically and on hard copies. Awesome product.

I should give it no star. I have tried all I can to update the software, but it still won't work. Sucks. I really loved the pulse. The battery for that one is unfortunately not renewable.

Have used this for about 2 weeks now. Works as intended and syncs perfectly to Evernote. Getting used to the larger sized pen (used to using a Bic.)

I waited quite a while before purchasing this, now I can't believe it too me so long!

Somewhat confusing to get it set up but good product.

i purchased this pen to be able to log my class notes and to take notes with during class and honestly the little notebook was too small. And the pages you can print out online always seemed to have a hard time reading correctly, I've heard the more expensive one is worth it but I returned mine, as I would rather take notes in apps such as Evernote or onenote by typing instead.

Having owned every single version of the LiveScribe pen, I do feel somewhat qualified to evaluate this most recent iteration. Let me preface my comments by saying that after having owned all of the LiveScribe3's predecessors, and having been delighted with each, I was not in a hurry to upgrade to this new model. In fact, after reading about it, I was even less enthusiastic about taking the plunge. Then, I finally decided to give the LiveScribe 3 a go and let me say, I am amazed! The pen does far more than the literature seems to indicate, making you feel that you are tied to your pen, notebook, and iPad. The fact is that you do not have to have your iPad anywhere near to use the pen. Write all you like in the notebook and when you get near your iPad and activate the LiveScribe app, it will automatically upload all of your data from the pen to the iPad. Seeing the pages magically appear with crisp image of your written notes is somewhat of a rush in itself. The image quality is the best yet and the simplicity of moving the pages from your LiveScribe notebook to the iPad is completely without effort. Reading the literature regarding the LiveScribe 3 gave me the distinct impression that I would have to keep my iPad near and have a paid subscription to Evernote to find it useful. That is so far from the truth. You do not need an Evernote account at all, but will need a modern iPad. In short, write your notes with a pen in your LiveScribe notebook and they will almost magically appear on your iPad, allowing you to review and manipulate them there. The device allows for audio recording as you take notes and syncs the audio with the written notes. I could go on and on, but simply put, this device is amazing! I would recomend you go with the Pro version to get the leather (or leather-like) portfolio which holds a journal-sized notebook and has a band for the pen as well. Very slick, professional package. LiveScribe, you've done it again - even better than ever.
