As others had mentioned before, there was a distinct plasticky odor when we first opened the package. We left it outside all day to air out, and that seemed to do the trick. The bag is a good size, in that it has room for accessories, as well as extra ink. It's not too big to be cumbersome, and not small enough to lose easily. A little pricey, but at least it will protect our investment.
