Customers are saying

Customers commend the Secure Pro Smart Lock's fingerprint reader for ease of access and convenient installation. The user-friendly app, remote access capabilities, and high-quality build also receive praise. However, some customers note the lock's larger size may not be suitable for all doors. Overall, the positive feedback on functionality and security outweighs concerns about dimensions.

    Very Smart Lock

I will preface this by saying that I really do like this lock a lot. The app interface is nice, it's secure enough to belong in a top secret government facility, and it looks pretty nice too. The reason I held back the 5th star is 2 fold. 1) The size. The thing is huge. I wish I had the deadbolt only version. It wasn't big enough to cover the hole from the deadbolt if I removed it entirely but it was too big to go underneath the deadbolt. Now I have swapped them so the deadbolt is below the smart lock. Which brings me to number 2) If you have a deadbolt AND a normal doorknob such as myself, this is going to make the deadbolt pretty much pointless. If you lock the deadbolt AND this lock then you'll still have to key the deadbolt and unlock the smart lock separately completely defeating the purpose of having it. Just don't be like me and pick the right model for your door. Other than that minor issue, this is a great product. No one is ever going to guess your passcode. You can even use your fingerprint or add a fingerprint for someone who needs access to whatever treasures you hoard behind the door locked with this thing. Setup and install was very easy. Google/Alexa integration works wonders as well. Just make sure you get the right one to fit your door and situation.

It broke after 2.5 years. No longer in warranty. I can't recommend a lock that doesn't last more than 10 years. The wifi/app setup is also super janky and slow.

Great smart lock, but not for doors with deadbolt

I really liked the features of this smart lock: randomized number pad, finger print option, etc. However, I ran into some issues with installation. This lock has a pretty big footprint (same as most other smart locks), which is the issue I ran into. The door I planned to install this lock on has a deadbolt which gets in the way of installing the unit. I already had a different smart lock on my front door, so I removed that one to test out this unit. Installation isn't much more complicated than a normal lock, but will take a little more time to configure after it is installed. I like all the features this lock comes with. It is relatively intuitive to use and provides finger print and randomizes the location of numbers so people can't determine a code by looking at worn out buttons. The app is straightforward to use also. Overall, I recommend this lock, just make sure you don't have a deadbolt on the door you plan to install it on.

    Great Build, Secure Technology

This is a review of the Lockly Secure Pro Latch Edition Model PGD628WSN MODEL. When this item first arrived, I was shocked by the sheer weight of such a small box. I have bought dead bold locks, latch locks with deadbolt but done remember the products being very heavy. When I opened the box, I was really impressed with the quality of the products build. This is an important aspect and I will get back to this in a bit. I will only give you a short snippet on the installation. Provided in the box is a step by step instructions on how to set this up by yourself. I, however, opted to have it installed as I was switching to a new all home security system and waited to have this installed with all the other components. Again, based on looking at the instructions and online tutorials, it looks really easy to do this on your own. This is an app-driven device however can be used offline as well. It has 5 different access points with this product. 1. Secure Digital Access pad – PIN Genie, allows you to gain access online as well as offline with offline access codes allow access codes to be sent remotely. There are different mode setting so that even when you use the same code over and over again the numbers rotate so there is no set static pattern for entry. Just awesome!!! 2. 3D Fingerprint technology. This product can store up to 99 fingerprints and can read them in a split second. I tested this and it works perfectly each time. 3. Lockly App – Allows you to remotely open the door when you are out and guests arrive. I tested this also and again it works great. Another benefit for this is that if you ever wonder if your door is locked you can remotely check this as well. 4. Virtual Assistant – Can be used with Google and Alexa. 5. Traditional Key Access – If all else fails, and power is off, your potteries die and your phone is dead, then traditional key access also works with this product. This is a great product. The technology is easy to use, install and is compatible with Alexa. This product is great for Homes and businesses and I give it my highest rating for build, security, features. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Nicest keypad lock I've used, but could be better

I've had experience with a handful of different "keypad" style locks since they first popped up on the market, but this is the nicest and most advanced I've come across. Installation was just slightly more advanced than installing a typical lock. However, buyer beware that this lockset does require more door real estate. This would likely not be a wise choice for a door with a deadbolt, as there wouldn't be enough room for the deadbolt. On the topic of size, this unit does have slightly more depth than the handle it replaced; my storm door just touches the lever when it is closed. After installing the lockset, setup within the app was straightforward and easy enough to complete. Fully configured, the lock can be opened numerous different ways: physical key, digital passcode, fingerprint, or via smartphone through the app. The main selling point and what helps set this lock apart from the rest on the market, is the fact that the numbers are always in a random order on the keypad, making it nearly impossible for someone to see and steal your code. I was impressed by the speed of the fingerprint reader and ease of use as well. Additionally, there is a set of pins on the bottom of the exterior escutcheon plate that will register against a 9-volt battery in the event the batteries die, showing that Lockly was well aware of a very possible situation of being locked out. The pins automatically detect the polarity of the battery and adjust accordingly. A few minor annoyances: -It would be nice if there was a way to schedule some of the features of the lock. For instance, turning off open/close notifications during certain hours OR turning them on for specific hours (think, accessed during the night while you are asleep) -Fingerprint reader is only compatible with certain print types. My wife and I were able to register our fingers without issue, but numerous tries with my 6-year-old proved to be a waste of time -While installing the interior backing plate, one of the three screws would not go in and eventually got stripped. Fortunately, Lockly provides a bag of extra screws. The backup screw went in about 90% of the way before that screw head, too, started to cam out. -No Apple Homekit support Overall, this is a very nice keypad lock that has done quite a bit to try to differentiate it from the competition. Many of my grievances can and will hopefully soon be addressed by future software/firmware updates.

The first thing I noticed is the weight and quality of the Lockly - Secure Pro Bluetooth Latch - Satin Nickel. This is a commercial quality product that is built like a tank. It's stylish looks was engineered to impress. One of the things I like is the flap covering the keyhole. Just a nice touch that enhances the look. Some products look good but when you get them home you wonder why they were priced the way they were. Not the Lockly - Secure Pro Bluetooth Latch - Satin Nickel. Its features and looks are equal, and worth the price. You can use your thumb print, code or key to access your property. The beauty of the code is the numbers change so any lookie loo may use the same pattern of your code but won't be able to gain access. NICE!! Stylish and built to last. You'll feel safer, and so will your family.

The "Creme De La Creme" of doorknobs ! Amazing!

Where do I begin/ This is the Lamborghini of doorknobs!. I know you've had your hands full, or in a rush to get inside from inclement weather and trying to fumble around to get to the right key to unlock the door. No more with this gem! Fingerprint access is the high tech way to your sanctuary from now on! You can also unlock it with your smart phone or use a 6-8 digit access code. The cool thing about this is unlike what you see in a lot of movies where the person can see what code you've punched in. This lock has multiple numbers for each digit location So there's no way of someone knowing what code you're using because there's a choice of multiple numbers where normally each single digit would be. Also it shuffles so the next time the numbers won't be in the same location. They've thought of everything! You still have two physical keys in case of emergency. I feel like some sort of secret agent when I go home now. Not only will it read my print but you can designate multiple prints (for friends or family members) to have access as well. If you're kids are like my little brothers, always misplacing their key or getting locked out, this makes all of that hassle a thing of the past! It has an app that works on both iOS and Android devices. The lock keeps track of each and every person who gains access by their individual fingerprint and keeps a log in the app for you to review. . Push notifications will be sent to you once your friends/guests check-in. Have a significant other that isn't that significant any longer? No more awkwardness of asking for your key back. All you have to do is change the access code or remove that individuals access all together. This lock is a lifesaver! I would highly recommend this to others! This is top notch security at its finest

This is a very nice lock with easy installation, took about 15-20 minutes to install. App set up was easy too, as well as setting up our individual code. This is nice because you can allow one time access for a friend to get in. 2 keys are also included for manual entry. You can also assign special codes for members of family or friends. Fingerprint access can also be assigned for up to 99 fingerprints. I had a little trouble setting this up because you have to use the app & click on 2 settings to be able to register a fingerprint. I had to call for help on that one but it’s a great feature now that it’s connected. I also was not able to set up Alexa because I can not find any instructions on how to connect, you need the WiFi hub which is included with this model but I still couldn’t connect. There is a door sensor included which we did not attach , this sends push notifications to your phone every time the door opens & closes & lets you know if the door is open or closed. The door automatically locks after so many seconds or minutes which you can adjust the timer, I tried disabling it but it locked automatically anyway. This can be good but also annoying if you are in & out a lot. Our first lock was defective too, the threads were damaged & screws only went in halfway but it was replaced quickly. All in all it’s a great lock with just a few minor hiccups.

Lockly Secure Pro Latch Intro I have a babysitter and in-laws that frequently need to enter the house when we are not home so this Lockly Secure Pro Latch might just be the solution I need. It looks great to me and feels really solidly built. It has all the features that I need like access code, wifi, Bluetooth, fingerprint reader and of course, the good ole’ fashioned physical key. It also works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant but Siri is left out. Installation is pretty straight forward but just follow the steps carefully. You can change the door handle orientation depending on how your door swings and that’s pretty simple to do with the included tool. It comes with two locksets, 60mm and 70mm. It also comes with extra spare parts; double sided tape and extra screws. After you complete the hardware installation, you need to download the Lockly app and setup the included secure link WiFi hub. The WiFi hub needs to be within 10 feet of the Latch or delays or connectivity issues will occur. I have it plugged in about 4 feet away and I’ve been getting delays and connection issues. Not that frequent though and maybe it’s just my network because I have a whole bunch of gadgets connected to it. If you use the Google Assistant, you need to link your Lockly account to it. Don’t forget to install the included door sensor so you can ask Alexa or Assistant to check if the door is open or closed. You can give a guest temporary access or create a one-time access code and you can set a validity period. This is perfect for the babysitters, visitors or when you’re selling your house. There’s also the trusted user access codes (up to eight users) that I’ve given to my wife and kids (wife will probably use the good ole’ fashioned key). The numbers on the keypad are shuffled every time so no one can trace your moves. For added security, Lockly will enter safe mode with three consecutive incorrect access code entries. It logs a history of when, who and how the door was opened or closed. It has an auto lock feature that can be disabled or enabled with variable times. It does have an offline feature so you still grant access when internet is not available. Just a couple of things that bothers me is that there’s really no way to easily see at a glance if the door is locked or unlocked. The interior handle will always open the door even when it’s locked so can’t check it that way either. Even the Lockly app doesn’t clearly show the status of the lock. Where this comes to be annoying is when you step out of the house, to get the newspaper for instance, you get locked out. A colored indicator (green and red) would work fine Lockly and it doesn’t have to be digital. There’s a button above the interior handle and it locks the door only. It doesn’t unlock it for some reason. The switch underneath it turns the touchpad on/off. If you turn it off and open the door from the inside, the switch goes back to the on position which enables the touchpad again. I guess it makes sense. When you lock or unlock the latch, it makes a ratchet kind of sound and I don’t know if that’s how it is. ** Don’t lose the Initial Code Card!! Pros - Feels solidly built - 9volt battery emergency power backup - Fingerprint reader for easy access - Smart home capable. - Voice command with Alexa and Assistant Cons - Must drill an extra hole on the door or use sticky tape to stabilize it - No lock status indicator Outro So for my needs, this Lockly Secure Pro Latch works. It allows me to let my frequent guests in with a touch of a button or a voice command. It lets me check whether I forgot to lock the door again as I often do. I don’t necessarily feel more secure with this latch but at least it lets me assure myself that the door is locked. Plus, I really like the way it looks and feels.

I found that the Fingerprint reader is very fast and works flawlessly for our entire household. I recommend turning off the auto-lock feature and using the touch to lock feature instead. You can then use your code, fingerprint or phone to unlock. The number pad also adjusts/alters/randomizes the placement of numbers so if whatever reason someone looks over your shoulder, the next time the digits aren't in the same location. So someone can't copy the movements and repeat the code thanks to this. Notifications for when the door is opened, who opened it (which fingerprint or assigned code was used) a timestamp, etc etc...very nice. You can also set a time for the pad to shut off so it can't even be accessed until you tell it to turn back on (or program a "wakeup" time). All in all; an awesome device that works great and performs all it's advertised functions properly.

First let me get the bad out of the way...the lock is huge. If you are planning on swapping out a preexisting deadbolt and regular door lock then you are going to have a problem. It's too big to place below the deadbolt. You can switch the deadbolt location but that's pretty much your only option other than buying a door with only a single pre-drilled hole. Other than that, this item works as is should. It's a little difficult to install but if you are handy with this type of work, then you shouldn't have too much of a problem. The keypad is easy to see and it rotates the numbers so your pattern can't be tracked. The batteries should last a long while but don't ignore the warning of you may end up with an unlocked home. The settings and interface are easy to use and setup is user friendly.

What a great door latch! It is perfect for guests, deliveries, AirBnB, and even for kids to get in and out of the house with. This is not designed for doors with deadbolts. It certainly is not stopping you from using a deadbolt, but the spacing for it will be way off of standard if you are using a pre-drilled door. I had it installed on my garage entry door to the house. Out of the box this setup is quite confusing, but it has a very thorough installation guide, setup guides, warnings and templates. This is a moderate project to task, but is more than capable of doing yourself by following all of the instructions. Right away there is a warning explaining not to lose the initial door code. It is very important to keep it, as you can not access the lock functions with out it and you can change the code later on. Just in case something does happen with the bluetooth/wifi, the kit does come with 2 physical keys to be able to open the door with, and there is a nice hide cover over the key hole on the handle. The overall construction of it all is very detailed and solid, and quite stylish. The handle and plates are a nice solid metal and feel sturdy and a nice weight to it when operating. The keypad has nice responsive touch sensors and I didn't run into any problems using that. Setting up on your phone or other device requires the Lockly app, and is one of the main basis of this door latch. It allows you to unlock and lock your door wirelessly, change codes, assign user account so you know who is using the door and the history of who accessed the door and when. It also has live alerts that will notify you when the door is opened. I love using it. It is one less key on my keychain to carry around, and worked great when my sister and her family came into town and were able to get in the house while I was at the store. I highly recommend this, and I plan to get another one in the near future for some of my other doors.

I wanted a lock that I could use without a key if I wanted to because I frequently have a habit of forgetting my keys, but also have a counter intuitive habit of locking my door regardless. The fingerprint feature has saved me many calls to the locksmith. It took a little time to train the lock with your fingerprint. (It requires you to scan one fingerprint 6 times at different angles.) Although once programmed it is very fast to unlock my door, much faster than the key or combination. I really like the convenience, and peace of mind it has given me. The lock is sturdy. It has two keys, which is nice to have although frankly I rarely use them. The key pad display is very bright and easy to see at night. I was surprised at how easy this was to install. The lock fits in a standard 2 1/8" hole. I had to make the hole from the previous lock a tad wider which required some power tools. But, after that the installation was fairly straight-forward and I believe most folks could do it with little to no problems. If you are looking to add some convenience and smart home security to your home entry I would highly recommend the Lockly. I have been very pleased with it!

like many others I had a separate deadbolt that sat about 4 inches above my door latch. When I first took the Lockly - Secure Pro Bluetooth Latch out of the box I noticed it was all 1 piece and was only going to use 1 of the 2 holes in my door. Also if i were to put it in the latch hole the old deadbolt would have been in the way. So i decided to put it in the hole where the deadbolt was. Perfect! The only thing is the handle sits a little higher then I would like but for the performance this Lockly - Secure Pro Bluetooth Latch gives, it's worth it. With 2 teenage boys who are weekly "misplacing" (losing) their keys this is a must. They love high tech stuff anyhow and this is perfect for them. I gave them both the option to use a passcode, fingerprint and too download the app so they could lock and unlock the door. works great for that. Also with the app I can monitor when they are coming and going though the door which I like. Once the configuration was established the setup was easy. I just bought a door hole cover (home depot) to cover the bottom hole in the door. After installation the tech part was easy. I linked it up to my wifi and was able to enter pass-codes and setup fingerprint entry. The touchpad on the front of the door is very cool. each time you enter a code the numbers in the box shuffle so no one watching can remember a pattern because the numbers in the circle change each time. very smart! I love how sturdy the unit is too. You will notice from the first time you pick up the box that this is no cheap door latch. from the deadbolt to the latch it is made very sturdy. I love the my new Lockly - Secure Pro Bluetooth Latch - Satin Nickel and would recommend one to anyone.

Other reviewers have given a good description of the device's many features and I appreciated reviewing those and won't repeat those descriptions here. This review contains some information that would have also impacted my decision on acquiring the device and on which door to plan to use it. I had ordered this with the intent to use it on an exterior door that had a deadbolt on it. I could not install it on that door because the deadbolt could not be removed. However, purchasing a new door with predrilled holes for the door knob and a deadbolt would require that the Lockly unit be placed in the upper hole and the deadbolt in the lower hole, in my case having the handle visible through the lower part of the window. An exterior door with only one predrilled hole was a much more expensive special order door. It was still usable but not in the way that I had envisioned when ordering it. The installation was fairly straightforward for me using the BILT application and works as advertised and as attested to by other users/reviewers.

Great Smart Lock with a few flaws

I just purchased a new home so all these smart devices are high on my list to modernize security and entry. I have a lot of local family members and a cleaning service so instead of relying on a garage code or making a bunch of spare keys, I started looking into a smart door lock system. Lockly distinguished themselves with not only their innovative keypad system, but also supporting multiple entry methods like Bluetooth, rotating pin pad, fingerprint, and finally, key. I only took a star off because you have to make sure the model you buy fits your existing door hardware. I have a $2K side light door with deadbolt and long handle hardware. Unfortunately the latch model did not fit perfectly and also did not provide the hardware needed to cover up the holes that would be left in my door. The deadbolt version should fit perfectly, so I will go with that model instead. Overall, the system provides everything you need to install and the app guides you through install. The hardware is exceptional you won't be disappointed with that aspect and the software works perfectly. Just make sure you buy a version that fits with your door, if not, BestBuy in-store or online customer service is outstanding so they should be able to take care of you.
