The first thing I noticed was how heavy the box was upon receiving (online order). It comes with 2 batteries (one spare), but so far, I haven't needed the backup since the solar charging panel is doing its job. The instructions are easy enough to follow, and installation was relatively simple on an existing door. The only two cons I have right now is that spare keys have trouble working (due to the solar panel being in the way) and also I can only manually lock it from the inside or with a key. For some reason, the auto lock feature will not work - I'll get in touch with customer services soon as im sure im missing something.

Was on the OTHER side of the fence when looking to buy this lock. Looked at it for about three weeks and finally decided to buy it. The main reason I was concerned with, was the battery life. I have now had it for four weeks and I love it. Way better than ring, more expensive but way better. And the battery life is amazing! So I honestly don’t know why the other reviews say the battery life is horrible. The installation was terrible, had to do a lot more work than I would of liked to do. Other than that, this lock is perfect! The video quality is amazing, everything is great. This is honestly the best video locking system I have ever seen or used.

The Lockly - Vision Elite Smart Lock Deadbolt is really been the best choice to all the smart locks that we have tried over the last five years. The Lockly works much better for starters with our WiFi, setting up the multiple finger settings is very easy, and it includes a interactive doorbell with a full video camera which activates as a direct security camera as an additional form of protection. The additional rechargable battery is included but with the solar charger built in we haven’t had to replace more then once in 4 months we have had it. The scambling six digit passcode adds more security so when entering it people around you won't know what you entered. The price of this smart lock is worth every penny.

Easy to install and set up. Connects easily and solidly with wifi for easy control. Also love the fingerprint access. It eas easy to add fingerprints for the family and seems so much more secure than a codepad that shows fingerprints.

I fail to appreciate ADP or even Xfinity security overpriced monthly expenses. Things I like about Lockly. 1. No Monthly Fees 2. Sensor. 3. The App. 4. Automatic door locking. 5. Fingerprint access. 6. Unlock door from Phone. 7. B&W Night and color day vision camera (1080p) with video to store separately on its router (need sd card). YES ... I have been waiting for a door locking system like this one that gives me control wherever i am from the app.

Very Impressed. Install was not that easy but I was able to do it. Only thing they need to improve is the doorbell video and interface. I have other ring products and the interface isn’t quite as good. On the security side this thing is amazing. Rolling number pad and finger print entry which I like more than I thought I would like. This would get a 5 out of 5 if they improved the doorbell interface. Which could possibly still happen with updates. Almost perfect.

This LOCKLY lock works great, I switched from schlage. Happy that choose this product.
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
This is a wonderful combo as well as a nice design for your home! I used to have my video Doorbell, and my door lock in two separate pieces which was working fine, but the batteries on the doorlock were depleted in a month because of the continuous access and it was even worst when I had visitors. My doorbell also didn’t have good resolution video. However, it seems to me that the Lockly engineers have thought of every single detail that the customer wants on a door lock, and I have to say that there is nothing missing.
Starting by the fact that comes with not only one, but 2 Lithium Lockly Batteries that are been charged solar cells located in the Lockly door lock. It has 4 ways to access: fingerprint, code, key and app control, door sensor, motion alert, guest access profile, video recording storage LOCALLY! (no fees of any kind, it will be stored in a 32Gb sd Card), night vision, video doorbell with 2 way audio mic. Honestly it is hard to say which one is my favorite, but I would say that at last I don’t need to replace batteries anymore.
So, I have to admit that at the beginning I felt a little bit overwhelmed when I opened the package and saw all the parts. However if you take 20 minutes of your time to check the instructions, and follow them closely, you will be finished in about 45 minutes the whole process, installation and configuration, which is not configuration per say, but most how to use the app, and I guarantee you that it is totally worth it.
So before you order one, first you will need to determine which type of length deadbolt you will need for your door, I found 2 options, 60mm or 70mm, mine was the 60mm. It is really easy to check it with a ruler. Next, as soon as you open the box, locate the Battery and its own charger cable, which is a USB to USB-C cable. This is important because it is not any USB cable, the USB-C connector has a blinking light that once it becomes solid it will tell you the battery is fully charged, and don’t use the white USB power adapter that comes with the unit because that one you will need it later for the hub. Try to find a generic USB Power adapter that is pretty common nowadays with the cell phones and let it charge. The reason why I have pointed this out is because it will take around 5 hours to fully charge the battery, and it is important that it is fully charged for the correct operation in the long run with the solar cell charging mode. But to start and configure you can use the second Battery that comes with the unit and have enough power to complete the setting, until the first battery completes the charging process.
I would say that we can split this process in two stages. First, the physical installation of the Doorlock, and second, the registration and app setting.
The installation can be done by one person, the front unit comes with 3M mounting tape, the purpose of it is to help you keep in place until you can secure it with the bolts, the same for the metal plate that goes at the back. From the front panel comes 3 cables, and one more cable from the deadbolt lock, which is the door sensor that will work with the magnetic plate that you want to install on the doorframe. This sensor will tell the app if the door is open or closed, and I am not talking about lock or unlock feature. I needed to carve a little bit on the door frame in order to install the magnetic plate, but nothing difficult.
So, just follow the instructions to wire the cables correctly, so they wont to be damaged when you screw the unit, and make sure to connect the 4 cables. There are 2 identical, but the red dot will let you know which one is the right one. Finally, once it is fully mounted, the Lockly unit and the magnetic plate on the doorframe, with the door close and the deadbolt fully extended, install the Battery and with the pin provided, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds, or until the beeping sound stops. Every time that you change the Battery you will have to run this process. You will not need to replace the Battery but in this case don’t forget you are charging the other one that is the one you want to use fully charged. There is a little black screw to secure the battery on the top right side. The standard setting for the autolock is 20 seconds, (I changed mine to 10sec). The first time, it will lock with the door open when the time has been reached, but once it detects the magnet on the doorframe when you close the door, it will lock from now on once you close the door. So if you unlock and open the door, the countdown starts at the moment the magnet is not detected, but it will lock or extend the deadbolt when you close the door(magnet detected). That is the reason why the magnet is important to have installed, so it will not damage your doorframe. (another well though design)
Now the second stage, and this is the easy part because it is very intuitive. First you install the app, the Lockly app can be found either on Apple or Android, I have installed both. During the installation use the 798 model listed, then will ask you to locate the unit. The hub (The 32GB SD memory is installed in the HUB) should go wired connected via LAN to your router and not too far from the Lockly doorlock. The connectivity between the Hub and the Doorlock is wireless, and both are a team. Once the Hub is connected to your router, the app will ask you to scan the QR code of the hub located at the base under the hub, and that is it. The setting process will continue by creating your profile and a numeric access code for your door.
Something that I would like to ask to the engineers is what will happen once the 32GB of total date is reached, will start to delete the old record? Can I install a bigger SD card?, like 256 and will the HUB and App recognize it?
The rest is very intuitive, but I will like to remark the following settings, based on the android app (the apple app has different terms for the same functions (which I found odd BTW), Under Camera Settings/Live View Recording should be ON. Smart Alert/Push Notification I enabled everything. Smart Alert/ Motion Detection Enable, Motion Detection Zone Medium (this is the range 3 6 9 feet of the desirable notification sensitivity), Motion Detection duration 5s, Video Recording trigger 10s and Video recording duration 15s. You can increase or decrease these values, but these are the default settings that have worked fine for me so far. To increase or decrease these values may cause, as it will warn you, more unnecessary Battery usage and an excess of notifications to your phone.
As soon as you open the app you will see to main options, the live video, and the lock/unlock feature. The live video, allows you to see who is in front of the camera and chat via the two way-audio/mic communication. And while you are doing that it will record the video and audio chat automatically. If someone stands in front of your door for 5 seconds it will generate an alert to your phone, if someone rings the doorbell, it will generate an alert and if you grab the alert it will open the app to take you to the video chat. (Did I mention that it comes with 2 plates for signaling the location of the new doorbell button to be pasted where the old one was located?)
It has infrared for night vision, 3 little red light will come up during the night if you stand in front of the doorbell.
You can set up your fingerprint, for you and many others, different code access, create group access, etc, and in the worst case scenario, let's say the unit stops working for any reason, you just move cover of the solar cell and will have the regular key access. And if you don’t feel 100% reliable with the security or may think that somebody will try to hack it, you can move down a little button that is on the inside section of the Lockly, and it will disable any way to unlock the system either with the app or code or finger print, another very well though design from these engineers.
There is only one con I have found, but I think the solution is a matter of a future update of the app. The time of the live video is off with the actual date. For some odd reason it shows a day and a half in advance, I hope the engineers correct this in the near future.
Overall this is a truly amazing product that I have been lucky to test it thoroughly and I am very pleased with this.

The new Lockly Vision Elite deadbolt edition is the creme de la creme of hardware for your door deadbolt. I honestly could never have imagined cramming so many features into a deadbolt lock but somehow they managed to do it and in incredible style. To start off, the DIY installation was fairly simple as they not only provide a user-friendly installation guide but also videos you can access via their app or on YouTube to walk you through the simple steps. You do have to plug in a router type device to your modem or router via an ethernet cable so keep that in mind where you might need to put one that’s close to the door you’re installing the lock on. I only ran into some issues at the end of the installation with having to reset the motion of the lock because I had it in the wrong position. Once it was installed, I downloaded the smartphone app and I created a user account, I was able to set up my personal PIN number, link my Amazon Alexa account and tinker with all the other features and options provided in the settings. In the access function of the app, you can add the fingerprints you would like to grant entry access to.
The Vision Elite Lock allows multiple types of entry to your home or office including a digital randomized numeric keypad, a biometric sensor on the side for up to 99 stored fingerprints, access from the Lockly app, invitations you can send to others for access whether permanent or temporary and even allows you to schedule certain times the lock can be left open or locked and the amount of time it can remain unlocked. It can send you a push notification whenever the door is open or closed, locked or unlocked, motion at your door and even if someone is attempting to tamper with the lock by entering a wrong code or the fingerprint reader is attempting to be used by someone who is not saved in the user’s system. Oh, I almost forgot one… yes, there’s even a super old school set of keys it comes with because you just never know when you’re trying to explain to grandma how to unlock the door.
The “Vision” portion of the lock replaced our beloved video doorbell and the great part about it is the camera faces forward right on your door instead of side mounted how some doorbells are mounted on homes. The built-in high-definition camera sports night vision and has a rain sensor that will turn off the keypad until you re-access it via the app or simply press the doorbell on the lock. It has a speaker on the inside of the door that acts as a doorbell so there’s no need for a separate chime peripheral and acts as a two-way speaker between the inside and outside of the house. The lock has built in digital storage that will save videos of movement and someone ringing your doorbell.
The lock comes with two batteries so you can keep one charged when the one being used runs low on power and simply swap them out to charge the dead battery using the provided USB-C cable which was very thoughtful and convenient compared to other doorbell manufacturers that only provide one battery.
There’s really not much more you can ask for from a deadbolt lock in today’s technology and at this price you can’t go wrong considering how many devices you could potentially be replacing with just the Lockly Vision Elite. If I were Batman, and I’m neither confirming nor denying that I am, this would definitely be the lock for my bat cave.

The LOCKLY Vision Elite is the only Door lock and Doorbell combo you will need. One thing I want to mention right of the top is that this is the only doorbell/door lock combination, that I have tested, that provides with you everything you will need in the box. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY ANYTHING ELSE! Everything is provided, the SD card and even an extra battery, who does that, on top of that NO SUBSCRIPTION SERIVCE is needed. They had me at no subscription services, but not having to buy anything extra for this just sent this over the top. So, let’s go over the features, PROS and CONS of the new LOCKLY Vision Ellie Video Smart Lock.
UNBOXING & SETUP:
In the box you will find:
VISION ELITE DEADBOLT AND ASSEMBLY
STRIKE PLATE AND HOUSING
2 PHYSICAL KEYS
2 LITHIUM RECHARGABLE BATTERIES
HUB
DOOR SENSOR
USB CHARGER AND CABLES
INSTALLATION GUIDE AND PLACARD SIGNS
The setup process was pretty simple. I did try to watch the video with the provided QR code on the box but that did not work out for me some reason. Luckily, there was an installation manual in the box which was simple and easy to follow. My installation time was about 30 minutes that included removal of my old door lock and installation of the new LOCKLY Vision Elite. Once installed, I downloaded the LOCKLY application and was able to setup the new Video Smart Lock in no time.
FEATURES:
Let me start by saying that this Video Smart Lock is amazing. LOCKLY pretty much thought of everything when designing and manufacturing this smart lock. This smart lock is packed with features such as HD Video, Motion Detection, Night Vision, Fingerprint Access, Doorbell with 2-way audio, and even solar charging.
HD VIDEO: in the app, you can turn on the full 1080P HD video and live recording. The videos are stored locally on an SD in the wireless hub, and yes, the SD card is included 32GB.
MOTION ALERTS AND TAMPER NOTIFICATION: So, just like a regular smart doorbell, this smart lock provides notification of any motion detected and also is someone tampers with the door lock or tries to enter the wrong code too many times. All motion and tamper notifications are logged in the application and can be viewed at anytime and also can be downloaded to your phone for viewing at a later time.
NIGHT VISION: The smart lock includes night vision in low light conditions up to 15 feet. The night vision video quality is clear and your able to make out who is at the door. This feature can also be turned on or off in the app.
FINGERPRINT AND REMOTE ACCESS: The smart lock has a fingerprint reader located on the side and can store up to 99 fingerprints. The setup process for the fingerprint was also very simple and names can be added for each fingerprint user so you will know who unlocked the door. Smart lock has also has remote access via either Bluetooth or WIFI. The can be unlocked and locked via the app or using your smart assistant. I have mine setup with my google home account and it worked flawlessly. You will need to setup a separate pin for your smart home assistant to be able to able to unlock the door for security purposes. You can also setup offline codes, regular access codes for each individual, guest codes setup for a specific period of time and one-time access code. The pin code input is built on a really nice touch screen that randomizes the number display for added security, but if you find that to be difficult you can also turn that option off.
QUICK SWAP BATTERIES AND SOLAR CHARGING PANEL: This is probably my favorite feature of this smart door lock. LOCKLY provides you with two lithium rechargeable batteries that can be swapped out easily and also there is a built-in mini solar charger for the battery. I have had it installed for a few days now so I can’t really tell if the solar charger is working but my battery life is green so it must mean its working. Under the solar panel you have your physical key slot.
VIDEO DOORBELL WITH TWO WAY AUDIO: This is the reason why you will not need a separate smart doorbell. This door lock has a built-in smart door bell with two-way audio. The smart lock has a built-in speaker for the door bell and also sends a notification to your phone. The video and audio quality are crystal clear and the field of view of the camera is large enough to capture someone from head to toe. This is your traditional smart video door bell integrated into a smart door lock.
PROS:
NO SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES
LOCAL STORAGE
GOOD VIDEO AND AUDIO QUALITY
QUICK SWAPPABLE BATTERIES WITH SOLAR CHARGING
RESPOSIVE TOUCH PAD AND FINGER PRINT SENSOR
ABLE TO CONNECT TO YOUR SMART HOME
CONS:
The only thing I did not like (very minor) is that the hub power supply cable was a bit small and the other thing is that your able to link the smart lock to your smart home system and unlock and lock the doors but the door bell does not connect to the system. It would be great if they could add the notifications and the ability to view the doorbell camera on the smart displays.
Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with LOCKLY Vision Elite. It’s a solid built product that offers multiple layers of security and the ability to control it all remotely. Best of all, you will not have to buy anything separately and no subscriptions to anything. This is your one stop shop for a door bell and door lock in one. I would recommend this to anyone in the market for either a doorbell or a door lock.

The Door Lock with all the features

This lock has everything. I’ve had the same lock for several years, to get everything I wanted out of it back then I had to use a smart hub, a separate door sensor, and the smart door lock. This enabled me to remotely program guest codes to the lock, have auto lock when shut, and remotely unlock and lock the door. This has everything built in, plus a fingerprint reader and a whole camera system to top it off. If they had this back then, I would have never bothered doing all of that as this product has it all done. I knew it was smart and capable, but the door sensor was icing on the cake for recommending as a complete easy to install solution (at least to anyone that is a little bit handy).
Everything you need comes in the box besides a screwdriver or two. Installing was decently quick with the instruction and the only thing that took me a second was to figure out how to adjust the latch shaft to the smaller size that the door was drilled for already (literally just twist the shaft). Make sure to check this prior relacing the other side of the door part as the red dot will be wrong if you have to adjust (which is probably why the directions say to do that part second). The adhesive is an awesome addition for installation as this keeps you from dropping stuff while trying to align everything or needing a second person. But if there is one thing that I would recommend is that you read the instructions as it makes it so much easier to put everything together.
It uses Bluetooth to set it up initially but after that it hasn’t tried to connect via Bluetooth again. With the reset and program button on the inside someone forcing this might be hard (Bluetooth has some built in vulnerabilities). I was able to setup unlocking via Alexa and Google Assistant with a code for when my hands are full. But other than that, the fingerprint sensor is really nice as long as the sensor is dry. If it is wet out the sensor seems to have more issues figuring out my finger is allowed. It also has a hard time with kid’s fingers (probably they are a tad small). One feature I love is the code pad, it has a constantly changing pattern, I like it, but some people (like my wife) might think it is annoying.
I mentioned auto locking, which is semi customizable, as long as you have a smart assistant you can do what I would like it to do in the app so I don’t see it as an issue, but I would love it to be able to just auto lock at a time (like 10pm) and not just after a set time (10 seconds, 1 min, 3 hours, etc.).
The main annoyance I have is how often I get told someone is messing with the lock, I’ve mentioned that my kid has a hard time with the fingerprint, and he loves locking and unlocking the door now so I will get several notifications that someone is messing with the door because he can’t quite get it, I wish there was a way to customize the level that someone may be messing with the door notifications, though this probably wont be a problem for most people.
I’ve had the lock up for about 4 days and it has gotten heavy use, a lot from my oldest unlocking it and relocking it and it may have gone through a quarter of its battery (maybe) but I don’t have a great way to tell as there is not power consumption menu that I can find. There is a single battery meter without a percentage. So, if you like random power information for entertainment you might find this annoying, other than that, it has a built-in solar panel that helps with the battery not depleting so fast as well as it comes with two rechargeable batteries so you can always have one charged which is absolutely awesome. Even better they charge off USB C (cable but not charger provided).
Lastly there is the doorbell part of this, this really does complete this for an all-in-one product. You will need to find a spot to plug in the ‘hub’ on your router or switch for the doorbell to work. Connecting to the doorbell can be a little slow, but most doorbell products are at this point at least from my experience; once connected though the lag is minimal.
Overall, I would easily recommend this product as it hits everything that I want out of a device to secure my door.

Lockly Vision Elite Deadbolt Edition has most comprehensive package of door bell with security monitoring embedded in a single hardware.
At high level, It include in the same hardware
1. Full HD video camera
2. Monition Detection
3. Infrared Night Vision
4. Patented Hack-Proof PIN Genie Keypad
5. Multiple Access Codes
6. Monitoring
7. 3D Fingerprint Recognition
8. Live Monitoring and Voice Control _
9. Complete Privacy - (Interpret it as home owner has control to prevent from outside to enter passcode)
10. Offline Access Code
11. AutoLock
12. Tamper Proof Keyhole
13. Solar Panel & Lithium Battery Power
And it comes with backup Key.
Installation is straight forward following the instruction. I only experienced bit of confusion while placing the deadbolt and aligning, and plugging its three cables with respective ends between exterior part and interior part.
A short note on the deadbolt, unlike other models in the market, Lockly Vision Elite Deadbolt can be installed for length of 2-3/4” (70mm) or 2-3/8 (60mm) by easily rotating.
Setting up with its application require extra step compared to other brand as it need to be connected with second piece of hardware that is a hub that allow the functionality of voice control for Alexa or Hey Google.
Also, in order to use the application, it require to setup user account that use two way verification by sending a text to the provided phone number for the code. If user doesn’t use text service, by calling the customer service can obtain on the phone.
Once setup user account, the application will find automatically the new device, then by setting up the passcode and rest of required setup, it can start using immediately.
Now, one of principal benefit I see is the changing number and position between four circles which make hard to enter the code for non home owners or anyone who would have granted permit to use given code.
Then the monitoring and all the features related to camera help to enhance that security as iit allow homeowner to see via Full HD camera, Live View and get alerted via notifications and log as motion sensors triggers as per its setup.
It allow two way conversation as it has microphone.
However, while during the day the live view seems clear well working, during night the camera shows in total dark or in vivid color and cannot tell under what conditions which one is which.
And the unique feature on motion sensor, it can be setup to start at 3ft, 8ft, 13ft in combination with when to start recording video depending on someone is present in the time duration of 10s, 15s, 30s, 60s, and 180s within defined zone range. But during the usage, observed it is not consistent when it record the video despite meeting the time and zone condition. In one case does record, other didn’t but couldn’t see consistency.
On the other hand, setting up the fingerprint and using it to unlock is quite handy alternative to physical key like when going out for just a instant for garbage disposal and entering back to home such case that wouldn’t want to grab the key or remember the passcode.
Then from the lock beeps every time open the application and change or navigate through its functions.
Among other good thing it has the log in the layout of the timeline that is easy to follow in my view. For instance it shows with timestamp what action was done like unlocked manually, locked automatically by user name xyzzy from the application, mention sensor detection and so on.
Note on what comes short:
1. It is not compatible with HomeKit
2. Video recording can be only seen in the log, it doesn’t have separate interface to see all the video like in a single folder by timeline. It is mixed among other activities and user need to scroll donw’up and look for it among all the activities.
3. There seems a lag between actual event in the hardware and its log from the application. If I unlock manually, in the application can still see it is locked and it get updated after several seconds or need to close the app and open again.
4. The battery capacity shows only in the icon mode and not able to find in numbers what percentages left hence end up guessing.
5. For solar panel charging, can’t tell if it the lock is charging and how much.
6. Dependency to manufacturer battery. Although for some users wouldn’t represent as issue, in long run in the event of need new battery, can’t use just any compatible battery like AAA that can be purchased at anyplace.
7. Motion detection doesn’t seem to work correctly all the time. Sometime it does detect and trigger recording while in other case doesn’t despite of meeting the condition of the video and motion setup.
8. On this one might be because of all the feature included in the lock, but its size is quite bulky. It is a chance of box hangin on the door.
9. For the lock during the installation it includes a sticker for both pieces. In long run, I don’t see it would last much.
To finish, Vision Elite comes four way of unlocking the door (passcode, physical key, fingerprint, application) and its patented Hack-Proof Genie Keypad makes the core of the benefit, and all the rest seems to make greater control to that. Particularly it provide variety of control for home renting or homeowners away from home to permit guest to have temporary code or monitor it while to just homeowers a practical way still to control locking/unlocking door in day to day need.
I would recommend this to a friend
