One of the best headsets I have used so far, I wish the price was as low as the PC version, but I still have no regrets.

These are the best headphones I’ve ever had. I can go from gaming to just listening to a podcast no problem. Also they’re so light and comfortable. So glad I finally decided to get them.

Comfort & Features for Multi-device Gamers

Overall, after two weeks, the Logitech Astro A20 X has been an excellent headset and offers good value (compared to other headsets in the price range). It’s comfortable, has great audio, solid build quality, and most importantly, truly seamless cross-platform switching. Suppose you’re a gamer or even a casual gamer, looking for a reliable, reliably performing headset that won’t empty your wallet. In that case, I can recommend the A20 X. It’s lightweight, loaded with many sought-after features, and it can compete with headsets that cost more.
The Logitech Astro A20 X is a recent release from Logitech’s Astro gaming headset lineup. It sits under the higher-end Astro A50 X. Judging from last year’s model and this year’s improvements, I think Logitech is trying to give customers premium features without a super premium price tag. I’m not for a second unaware that the price is not cheap, and I wish the headset were less expensive, but considering the competition, I think Logitech executed its goal.
One of the first things you’ll notice about the A20 X is its lightweight design. Weighing just 290 grams, it’s noticeably lighter than many other gaming headsets. I did a quick search for some of the most popular gaming headsets. Of the ten or so competitors that came up in the results, one was 320g, and another was over 360g. I don’t know about you, but one of the first things that turns me off about any headset or pair of headphones is the weight and comfort. I wore the Astro A20 X for almost two hours and didn’t feel any strain on my head and neck.
The headset features memory foam ear cups. You can hear the passive noise isolation as soon as you put them on. By no means does this mean superior isolation and or equal active noise cancellation, but the plush padding does a good job of blocking out ambient noise - like the shouting of my kids down the hallway. The top headband is made of plastic but sturdy enough. There’s a suspension headband right under the plastic headband that is soft and has some cushioned stitching.
The buttons and volume wheel feel responsive and well-built. You have controls for the volume via a volume wheel, Bluetooth pairing, an on/off switch, Mic mute, and a switch between two systems with a button. There are also two buttons, a voice button and a game button, located on the right ear cup. They allow you to balance between game audio and voice chat when connected to a PC or Xbox.
Visually, the A20 X takes a more conservative approach. Sans the RGB and detachable mic, they might be able to pass for everyday Bluetooth headphones. This is in contrast to the angular, aggressive look of typical competing headsets. The Astro A20 X follows the design cues from some of Logitech’s other headsets, which I like. They have a more rounded, headphone-like appearance (I know I wrote that twice, but that’s what they look like). I appreciate the sleeker, more modern look. Speaking of RGB, the lights are customizable RGB where the headband meets the earcups. It’s a nice touch; this is a gaming headset, plus my kids like it. I honestly haven’t changed the lighting pattern. The RGB isn't overboard or distracting by default.
The A20 X promises 24-bit audio and 48 kHz full-bandwidth chat. They did show up as such in my Windows 11 Sound Output Settings. This is impressive for a headset. I looked at other headsets but couldn’t find many that advertised the bandwidth and higher bit depth. Impressions on audio quality are that it is clear and balanced, with a flat profile. Well-suited for gaming, in my opinion, and the profile I choose when listening to music. I can always use an EQ if I need more bass or treble. You can clearly hear footsteps, gunfire, and environmental cues without overwhelming bass or treble or muffling.
The microphone is detachable, bendable, and designed for “broadcast-quality” voice chat. Logitech has a strong track record with mic quality, and the A20 X seems to follow suit. One of the best features of the A20 X is its PlaySync base station. This 2”x1” (estimate) rectangular hub allows you to connect two gaming systems simultaneously—for example, a PS5 and an Xbox —and switch between them with the press of a button. A voice prompt confirms the switch, making it easy to know which system you’re using. You don’t have to juggle multiple headsets or multiple adapters.
You have plenty of connectivity options. The headset supports Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, and 2.4GHz wireless. However, one limitation is that Bluetooth can only connect to one device at a time, with no support for simultaneous connections. Not a dealbreaker, but I really wish Logitech would include it with so many headphones that support it nowadays. It would have been great to have the ability to switch between my phone and tablet without re-pairing.
Battery life is another area where the A20 X also shines. Logitech claims up to 90 hours of playtime without RGB lighting, and around 40 hours with lighting enabled. The headset has auto-shutoff. You need to switch the headset off and back on after it automatically shuts off. That’s more than many competing headsets. I’ve charged it once when I first received it and haven’t charged it since.
Setting up the A20 X is straightforward. It’s plug-and-play. I really love how quickly the hub and headset connect to my devices. It’s also fast to swap devices with the Lightspeed USB hub. Switching between devices is seamless, and the headset provides clear audio feedback every time you change devices.
It’s fantastic to hear you’re enjoying the Astro A20 X LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience!

Light weight and comfortable not completely sound proof but good sound and volume overall. Compared them to turtle beach 700. Turtle beach was too heavy to wear all day while gaming.
