This connects easily. The picture was a little fuzzy. We might have kept it anyway. Unfortunately you have to bypass Apple app security to download the Zoom app to the Mac. We will just use the iPad for Zoom.

The camera works fine but I would have liked to have been told that it used a USB-C cable. I needed a USB-C extension cable to use the camera and Best Buy does not have that cable.

    Low Price for High Performance

Logitech Brio 300 Webcam Introduced recently is the new Logitech Brio 300 camera with an odd sci fi cone shaped styling. It contains both a camera and microphone and connects via a USB C port into a computer. I don’t mind the design and definitely like the good performance and the low price. When on sale it gets even better since it starts from a reasonable list price. The clamp it has simply attaches to the top of your laptop or monitor so if you are suing something that is very thick it might not easily attach. It was able to install and setup was very easy. The camera can be turned off by using a sort of flipping lid function and offers total privicy when “flipped”. The image and microphone pickup is good and produce a clear picture with good sound for zoom, teams, and the other groups software in the market that are vying for dominance. BTW: it is available in white also as well as what is described as a rose color. I have the black model and assume they are all identical electronically except for the housing colors. I am very pleased with the price and quality of the Brio and would recommend it to others.

Logitech Brio 300 Webcam The Logitech Brio 300 Webcam is an affordable webcam that is easy to set-up and use. It comes with a generous 5 ft. cable with a USB C connector ( no USB C to USB A connector provide so plan accordingly). Small and clean looking with 1080P resolution and has a Privacy slider. The mount isn’t a standard mount and it is not really a clamp and isn’t fully adjustable. The camera can’t be rotated or adjusted and isn’t good at hooking to thin type edges like are on a lot of laptops but it can be adjusted to a degree for up and down. The picture is decent for professional call or casual steams a 2MP camera using Full HD resolution and a 70° field of view. Though it only has a 30fps refresh rate it should be adequate for its intended use. There is no autofocus or head tracking. The Logi Tune software is good at adjusting the Picture. In settings with a dark room with ambient lighting mixed with the monitor light the picture is much softer and noisier. The microphone is relatively clear but it may be a little too sensitive. While testing I noted that my voice was easy to hear with no muffling but it does catch some echo. I prefer using a headset to eliminate these problems and have a better audio experience. This is a decent low cost webcam that is simple to setup and use even though it has some limitations.

Don't Buy if Your Skin is Brown

I purchased this to replace a Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 which was having compatibility issues with Mac iOS 14.4 (intermittent glitching). This cam was unable to render my skin tone accurately no matter how I adjusted the settings (using Logitech's app or others). I have a pro LED 3 point light kit set at 5600K, so poor lighting was not causing the problem. I returned this webcam asap. I solved the C920 issue by connecting it to my computer via a Thunderbolt dock, btw, so need to hunt for another webcam for now.

Great General Purpose Webcam for Video Calls

While I have a webcam on my laptop, I don't always have my laptop open since I utilize docks at home and at the office. I have several Logitech webcams I've used over the years and this Logitech Brio 300 performs great among them. For some reason, I thought this camera was going to be bigger from the initial pictures that I saw. I'm glad I was mistaken. The camera portion is about 50 millimeters in diameter and about 42 millimeters in depth not counting the stand or cable. If you're counting the stand, it's about 50 millimeters again. The cable is non-removable from the camera, about 60 inches in length and is a USB-C type cable. Unfortunately, with my setup, that cable wasn't quite long enough to reach the USB-C ports on my desktop computer. However, I was able to purchase USB-C to USB-C female to female adapter for pretty cheap and able to use any of my USB-C to either USB-C or USB-A cables (as long as they are data rated) to extend with enough length to reach my desktop. The camera also features a rotating shutter for privacy and a nice bright white light for when it is on. The camera stand has a decent amount of articulation in two joints to help it hold onto a wide range of monitor thicknesses. The camera also has its own joint that allows it to tilt up and down by about 60-75 degrees. The camera does not rotate from side to side. The stand is also missing a tripod mount which I think it unfortunate. The quality out of the box is quite impressive. I found the picture to be crisp for a 1080 webcam. The audio isn't fantastic, but I normally just use my headset to provide a little privacy. Low light performance of this camera is very good compared to some of the cheap cameras I've come across. This Brio 300 is compatible with multiple video conferencing platforms including Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet. It is well suited for my work calls. On my own PC, where I can freely install any software, I was able to install LogiTune to adjust the settings of the Brio 300. From the LogiTune App, you can adjust the Brightness, Contrast, Saturation and Sharpness and turn on Auto Exposure, Auto Light Compensation, Auto White Balance and Anti-flicker. There are also a small amount of filters. One of the draws to the LogiTune App is the ability to connect to your digital calendar in order to manage meetings and meeting notifications from the LogiTune App. However, I'm a bit disappointed in the Preview controls within the LogiTune App. It's a rather small window, especially on a 4K monitor. The preview image comes to be about 2 inches tall and less than 4 inches wide. That's not enough to really see how your image adjustments are making a difference. I think all the above features make the Logitech Brio 300 a great general purpose webcam. Since the LogiTune lacks some maturity and the mount lacks some flexibility, I don't feel this is the best option for Streamers.

    Good Little Webcam

This webcam does what it is supposed to do. It is small form but as you can see, it is cone-shaped (as opposed to the usual flat-ish rectangle. It also has a cap that you swing around upwsrds to free the camera. When you want camera privacy, just swing it back down. It has the usual clip to put it on your monitor. It has a cable with a usb-c on the end. Also if you want to just sit it on your dek or table at the height you need it, you can use it that way as well. It doesn't matter as long as you plug it in. This webcam is plug-n-play. Easy peasy. The receiver (laptop, desktop or docking statiion) just needs a usb-c port. That's it. Most laptops now come with a webcam but if you work with your laptop closed (maybe because you have connected an external monitor) then this webcam will come in handy. If you have a laptop and work with it open but keep it off to the side somewhere, then same thing, this webcam will come in handy. The video and integrated mic/speakers work well. I can be heard well and I can be seen clearly. It can also adjust for low light which is also helpful. I use it for Zoom and Teams communications and meetings regularly. You can also download and install the logitech software, LogiTunes to do more adjustments for quality. It's a good little webcam and I would recommend it.
