Logitech is the only webcam brand I've ever used and for good reason. That reason being it's the best one out there. The quality on this game is amazing and the clip to be on the monitor is so much handier than the annoying cams that are/were on stands. Also set up is a breeze! Grade A product from a grade A company!

The onboard camera on my laptop went bad, and I needed a camera quickly for a conference I was hosting. This camera was great -- with a tripod I added, I could set it up so my students could get the benefit of full view of demonstrations, not just my face. The long cord included was also a plus. Clear Picture, good sound.

The cheaper webcams were all gone so I purchased this one and I'm so happy I did. The resolution is fantastic and for some reason, I appear better on this one (yes, I'm a little vain) then I do on the one that I had before this one that I trashed as it was barely working. Who want your co-workers to see the way you really look while working from home. It's easy to use and setup. I can also use it as a mic which I didn't know when I purchased it. I picked it up a day after I ordered it at the front of my local BB store.

I went out to Best Buy with a friend to help them pick out a webcam for the computer I was helping them build. I was pretty set on a lower priced Logitech 720p webcam for them as I felt pretty content with mine, but when I found this in store, I felt there was no sense in not spending the extra few dollars on 1080p. After a few of our Team speak and Skype conversations, I was thorughly impressed with the mic quality, but also the video quality, and I ended up going out a couple weeks later and buying one myself.

Great quality webcam that I use for my everyday work calls. The video quality is crisp and clear, and it feels expensive. The camera is absolutely reasonably priced and I'll highly recommend getting it if you're not a freak.

Excellent picture; microphone works fine. I have confirmed that by polling every video meeting participant over the past few days that I have had it installed (three meetings, including one with musical instruments). The only shortcoming is the connector cable - it is way too short for anything but a laptop. I have my camera attached to a desktop, but had to use an old extended cable. One video review showed an extender in the box, but mine did not come with it. If you buy this get an extension cord with it. Otherwise, it is great.

I bought this for someone else and set it up for them. The picture and audio quality are better than average and the mount was better than I expected. It perches stably on the top of an old LCD monitor very well and the cord is long enough to still reach the back of the desktop.

So far have had no issues with the webcam. Nobody who I have been in a call with has complained about quality. Price was really good for the quality of capture it gives. Two minor problems I have had with it is that the cable for it is a bit shorter than I would like and the stand is a tad awkward.

If you're looking to travel, this is the Web camera for you. It is lightweight and foldable. It provides great HD quality video up close, but the images will be slightly blurry from further away. The cord length is short, but it works fine. The camera auto - focuses when images are blurry. If you want a camera that focuses both close and far, please purchase the Logitech C920s or C922 Pro Stream.

The Logitech C615 1080p Webcam is a product that aims to offer high-definition video calling and streaming capabilities to a broad audience. While it carries the promise of Logitech's reputable brand name and the allure of 1080p HD video quality, this extensive 2-star review will highlight the areas where the C615 falls short of expectations, underscoring the reasons behind its disappointing performance. **Video Quality and Performance (2/5):** Despite its advertised 1080p resolution, the Logitech C615's video quality leaves much to be desired. Users might expect crisp, clear images from a webcam of this caliber, but the reality is often a mix of overexposed shots and grainy footage, especially in less-than-ideal lighting conditions. The autofocus feature, while intended to keep the video sharp, struggles with consistency, often resulting in moments of blur as it attempts to refocus. This becomes particularly problematic during important video calls or when trying to capture precise details during a stream. **Build Quality and Design (3/5):** The C615's design is compact and portable, with a folding mechanism that is beneficial for users on the go. However, the build quality does not fully match the convenience of its design. The plastic construction feels somewhat flimsy, raising concerns about its durability over time. The mounting mechanism, while versatile, lacks stability when attached to certain monitors, leading to a precarious setup that could potentially disrupt video capture. **Audio Quality (2/5):** For a webcam that purports to offer a complete video calling solution, the C615's built-in microphone is underwhelming. Audio captured by the device often sounds tinny and distant, lacking the clarity and richness one might expect. This compromises the overall communication experience, necessitating the use of an external microphone for professional or high-quality audio needs, which adds to the overall cost and inconvenience. **Software and Compatibility (2.5/5):** The Logitech software provided with the C615 is intended to offer additional features and customization options to enhance the user experience. However, the software often feels cumbersome and unintuitive, detracting from the plug-and-play simplicity many users seek in a webcam. Compatibility issues with certain operating systems and video calling applications further limit its versatility and usability, frustrating users who expect seamless integration with their existing setups. **Customer Support and Warranty (3/5):** Logitech typically offers reliable customer support, but feedback from C615 users suggests a mixed experience when dealing with issues related to this particular model. The warranty coverage is standard, providing some level of protection against manufacturing defects, yet the process of claiming warranty can be tedious and time-consuming, with some users reporting dissatisfaction with the resolution of their concerns. **Conclusion:** The Logitech C615 1080p Webcam, while a product of a reputed brand, significantly underperforms in key areas that are crucial for a high-quality video communication experience. The disappointing video and audio quality, combined with the build and software issues, significantly hinder its effectiveness as a reliable webcam solution. While its compact design and portability might attract users looking for a mobile video calling device, these features are overshadowed by its shortcomings. Given its price point and the competitive alternatives available in the market, it is challenging to recommend the C615, leading to a 2-star rating. Potential buyers might find better value and performance by considering other options or investing in higher-end models that more reliably meet their needs for high-quality video and audio capture.

I purchased the camera for my PC which did not have a built in camera. Works great for online chat. I mounted the camera on a trip pod and used it to record a family get together and was surprised on how well the video turned out.

This webcam is a great value! The picture quality is spot on, and the audio pickup is very clear for a webcam mic. The only drawback is the length of the USB cable. I wish it was slightly longer for more versatility among placement, but that's nothing that a USB extension cable can't solve. Definitely would recommend this webcam to anyone who is looking for $100+ quality for under $100.

Good, simple webcam for video chats

I purchased this for video chats from my home office setup because I bought a sit-stand conversion desk. I use it for both work and playing Dungeons & Dragons. I use it on both my 2013 Macbook Pro Retina and my work Dell running Windows 10. Both operating systems recognized it immediately, and I can switch to it in MS Teams, Google Meet, Jitsi Meet, Zoom, and Discord via each tool's settings. Most of these automatically recognize and switch to the webcam when I start them. So props for ease of set up. The device itself can either be mounted onto a monitor via the built-in hinge-style clamp (it doesn't actually clamp down, but has hinges that can be used to keep it in place, and grippy material to prevent it from sliding off), or the hinge can be folded to allow mounting to a 1/4" camera stand (same thread as my DSLR). It also folds up for portability and to protect the lens. For quality, I'm pleased with it. I downloaded the control software for MacOS and learned that I can either leave it at autofocus or manually adjust the focus. It also gives me a preview window, and I can switch between widescreen and standard. It has digital zoom, which I don't use, and isn't very sharp. It also has auto white balance, which works okay, but I still prefer using a lamp for lighting up my video chats. I use a separate microphone, so I can't honestly rate the built-in one. Overall, I like this for its picture quality for online video chat, ease of use, and versatility (in case I want to mount it differently). I'm not looking for 4K quality, which is why this webcam works for me. I've been pleased with Logitech's quality over the years, and the build on this device seems to uphold those standards.

This is a great camera for those who find themselves unexpectedly working from home and need a way to join the variety of video conferences that they are now required to attend. The plug and play capability make it very easy to set up and start using. The picture and sound quality are excellent which is one of the things that Logitech is known for. Overall this is a great webcam for the at home business professional.

Out of the models I compared and that were in stock at my local BB, I felt this was the best bang for my buck. Got it price matched and got a great deal on it. Using a computer with a much more stable network compared to my cell phone skype calls has been an improvement on quality, sound, and just the overall experience of video calling someone. I like the controls you get with the software, and the amount of features and options you can adjust in the cameras software. Very easy setup and overall have had no issues with the webcam.

The webcam itself is easy to setup and use once you go to the Logitech website (provided) to download software and drivers. You can change the quality of both video and picture quality as well. With the design you have the option to either place it on your monitor or rotate it and place it on your desktop. All and all it's a good webcam that takes clear videos and pictures and is easy to use. If you don't want it running at start up you'll need to use msconfig command to alter your start up programs because the installation automatically sets it to come on with boot.
