    Great Streamer Cam

    Posted .
    Pros mentioned:
Ease of use, Picture quality, Price

---SETUP--- The setup of this WebCam is fast. Out of the box, it was plug and play ready on my MAC. ---FEATURES--- The key features of this webcam include autofocus, auto-white balance, a microphone, and a removable privacy cover. 1080P 30FPS or 720P 30 FPS, 78o wide angle lens. ---PERFORMANCE--- The performance of the WebCam is great out of the box. I used it with Facetime for an online interview for a new job and the interviewer made a comment on how clear my image was compared to those he had interviewed that day. The microphone works well also if you are using it close to you. For gaming, though, I rerouted the output to a different mic but it makes for a great starter WebCam. ---EXPECTATIONS--- The product meets my expectations. You don't need a tripod to use this, as it has a hinge that can adjust to any laptop or monitor. I had a small tripod laying around and I used the tripod screw hole to place it closer to me and record me at a preferable angle and out of the way of my TV's line of view. It worked flawlessly with OBS and I was able to set up a filter for chroma key without having to turn on my studio lights, meaning that the regular room lighting was enough to capture a bright enough image needed for a green screen. ---VALUE--- The price for the Webcam in terms of value is great. For basic things like Facetime, Google Hangouts, or Skype, you will love it. As a gaming facecam, you will find its ease of use and integration with OBS welcoming. ---APPROVAL--- I highly recommend this product for people who make video calls or video-conferencing as it will definitely look better than anything that already comes with your laptop or monitor. Xbox players can plug it in directly to the Xbox for streaming from the Xbox with a facecam. PC streamers can customize it even further with OBS or XSPLIT. You will love the HD capture of your camera and the price.

    Excellent Desktop 1080p Webcam

The Logitech PRO HD 1080p webcam setup is quick and easy. It is plug and play with windows. I have downloaded Logitech Capture software to customize the settings. After the initial setup, I was impressed with video quality of this webcam. I have used for Skype, Google Duo and Skype for business video calls. It worked without any issues with great video and audio quality. It comes with flexible mounting clip and it fitted perfectly on my 32" acer 4K monitor. The audio quality is great as well. It comes with Privacy shutter which is great addition to close the camera when not in use. It supports up to 1080p High-definition video and color quality is outstanding with 2.07MP sensor. It has dual mics to capture natural sound on calls and recorded video. The field of view is 78? to allow more than one person join the conversation. I am using every day to do video calls with my friends and family. I am really impressed with quality and features of Logitech PRO HD webcam and highly recommend this to desktop users for video and audio calls.

    Great Picture and Sound!

I use a webcam almost daily for my webex business meetings, so I was really excited to try out the Logitech HD Pro C920. It was a super easy play-n-play setup, Windows 10 detected it immediately. I downloaded the Logitech Capture software - which you can use to make videos - and even have picture in picture capabilities! I used the C920 and one of my displays, but you could use another camera too for a second angle! Overall - very impressed with the picture quality on Webex - my coworkers liked it too. The sounds it definitely better than my other web cams, but if you want great sound, you'll use a dedicated microphone. This camera has the ability to shoot/stream 1080p video with a framerate of 30 fps with no reduction - which sets this camera apart from most others. Another thing I love is the stand. Might seem funny - but you can set it on something, it attaches to any monitor with ease - really nice. Good job Logitech. It allows the camera to tilt while connected too!

    Great overall desktop webcam!

    Posted .
    Pros mentioned:
    Picture quality, Sound quality

The webcam is great for desktop users. For laptop users it might be a good upgrade (for home or business use) but it is not very portable for on the go use. Overall, a very high rating. Unboxing: The box contains the camera, instructions, a plastic flip security cover, and that about it. Design: I am quite happy overall with the design and give it a 4 out of 5. The camera itself is a little bulky and best suited to desktop computer use. My gaming PC and monitor did not include a camera, so this is a great upgrade for me. The design is modern with stereo microphones on both sides of the lens. The lens is rather larger and likely will bring in much light. The device is all plastic with different feels on each side. Some are glossy, some are matte. On either side of the speakers is a great blue light indicator that shows when the camera is in use. It is rather soothing. The mount is a little confusing but if you want to you can place it on a flat surface in a stable fashion. Unless you have a mount though, it is probably best to mount it on the monitor. I ran into a snag with this though. If your monitor has large bezels, this will probably be no issue to mount it on the monitor itself. If your monitor has minimal bezels, the mount might overlap an observable portion of the screen. It is a minor annoyance but an annoyance, nonetheless. It will make it look like your PC has a notch, lol. Use: It is highly recommended you install the Logitech Capture software from the website. It will work without it but to get all the features you will need the software. With the software you will gain access to multiple video sources, by default the camera and the display (to show what is on your screen, great for streamers). You can event do Picture in Picture with the two sources if walking someone through something or for gaming related activities. You can set borders, interesting filters, prioritize frame rate and exposure, pan/tilt/zoom digitally, adjust auto focus, mirror, chroma key and more. The only bug I ran into is the "auto white balance" is really bad. Turn this off and adjust it yourself. Each time I turn it on, I find it tends to go very blue. I tested with a few video calls with family and friends. All reported calls were clear and audio was great. Summary: I recommend this device to desktop PC users for casual use or maybe even gaming and professional use. Quality is outstanding. My only issues I ran into were some mount issues and the auto white balance feature. Go buy it!

Works awesome once I figured out Windows security setting was preventing function. (after software downloads, a few reboots, USB port changes) I plugged in USB and I could see it in Device Manager, mic worked well but couldn't capture any video. Video quality is great for what im using it for, of course u need sufficient light as well as with almost any camera. I really like the privacy door it comes with also. The mic is good picks up well and sounds decent but is not studio quality as expected; Im using it for Zoom meetings and video chats so it works great for that. Love that it has the screw port to attach a tripod, so I use it with my small JOBY tripod on desktop as well.

    Great for Conference Calls

    Posted .
    Pros mentioned:
    Picture quality, Sound quality

I just received the new Logitech C920s Pro camera and was eager to try it out. I spend roughly half my week in video or conference calls, and not every room has a camera. I'm often in these meetings with a group, and having everyone join one video call causes a lot of sound feedback and having way too many people trying to speak at once. This solves the problem of trying to gather around one small laptop camera, and then shuffling around the laptop for everyone to get a visual. It was plug and play, and is now an accessory I take along for any larger audience meetings, without needing to connect to an external PC/Mac. The quality of the image is great, especially on Skype, Zoom, and Blue Jeans conference calls. Clients have stated that I sound clearer now, then I did with the built in mic on my headphones or my Macbook. The image clarity is easily seen in the preview window, viewing my own image. It easily sits on my Macbook, monitor, or on a table top with all the articulation points on the camera. There is threading on the bottom that allows you to use most universal camera tripods or mounts. We actually use these as our primary conference room cameras, due to the overwhelmingly good feedback we get from our clients. If you're one of the many that use a privacy tab or sticker to cover the lens, you'll be pleased to know this comes with an attachable privacy cover (shutter). It's made of a soft plastic, and is easily placed on top of the lens. You can then simply pull on the door to open when you're using it, and then push it back down to close. I'm really impressed with this "webcam" as a solution for home or office use. It goes well beyond most other webcams on the market. You will pay more, but you'll also get more use of it over others.

Fantastic clarity and added effects for streaming

    Posted .
    Pros mentioned:
    Ease of use, Picture quality

Such a great camera upgrade for me. My laptop camera was sufficient but so disappointing in comparison to this Logitech camera. Easy to use for plug and play usability. Was able to get it up and running in a few minutes. The software for Logitech Capture was installed automatically as well. I enjoyed being able to customize my image and screen for exposure and sharpness. The image the Logitech cam provided was fluid and clear. No sign of jittery motion or choppy video. Have been able to chat with a few friends online and the experience has been great. The receiving end person can hear me clearly and see me clearly. The camera is well worth it for me for getting started to do selfie style YouTube videos. Full 1080p clarity and it also can be changed within the settings depending on your preference. I also love the software for the Logitech camera as it allows me to add in some effects at a basic level in order to make my video stand out a bit. Overall this camera is a must have if you're looking to get better clarity from your standard laptop camera. Mine being an LG Gram comes with a good camera but this Logitech camera destroys the clarity and picture capture. Well worth the purchase and a needed ally if you're doing video tutorials or trying to get a YouTube type social media channel going. Enjoy and be blessed.

I love my Logitech c310 720p webcam but wanted to move up to a 1080p model. The c920 has generally great reviews but I immediately encountered a problem that was a deal breaker -- the focus is unreliable. The two photos here that were taken back-to-back demonstrate how it can auto-focus sharply on something that fills the frame but goes soft when the are other things in the frame that are further away. And when you use the Logitech software to attempt manual focus you find that it's still blurry at its closest focus (? ) Try Googling "Logitech c920 focus problems" (which I wish I'd done before buying it) and you'll find videos from owners who've tried everything from attaching other lenses atop the webcam lens or even disassembling the webcam to rotate the lens to correct this. Some even had several c920's and not all of them have this problem. I'm always up for a DIY fix but it wasn't worth the trouble and the risk that it would still have focus problems and have voided the warranty. You shouldn't have to McGyver a brand new $100 webcam so that it "might" keep you in focus. This one's going back and my search continues for an affordable 1080p webcam with a good quality image.

      Hello Bobcbold,
I am sorry that you have had trouble with the autofocus on your c920s Webcam, I would like to help. I recommend checking that the operating system is up-to-date, drivers, and camera/webcam adjustments should be adjusted accordingly within the app, and for best experience, I highly recommend using the Logitech “G-Hub” or “Capture” software. Please always feel welcome to visit the Logitech website for product support. I will further elaborate on my recommendations…
Various Apps and Operating systems are periodically updated as are the Logitech “Capture” and “G-Hub” programs. These are my suggestions based on current variables, to address the issues that you described, with consideration to the unknown variables. These suggestions should cover those concerns as well as other details, as I am unsure of some specifics in your setup:
-Please check that Windows is up to date, also please check your “Device manager” for driver updates. In the “Device Manager” please check the pull-down menu under “Imaging Devices”, please right click on the “c920s” option and check for driver updates. If there are updates please run them, if you see “The best drivers for your device are already installed” please select “search for updated drivers on Windows update”. On the “Windows Update” screen, you may see a “You’re up-to-date”, message (you may see an option to “view optional updates”. If you see this option, please select “view optional updates”, where you will find the optional updates in a pull-down menu. If you do not see this option, please select “check for updates”. This likely will reveal the “view optional updates” option. This is based on what I experienced after a recent system update, and these steps resolved the issue that I had experienced. This should improve your experience, but I also recommend utilizing the Logitech software for custom adjustments.
Some programs that work with webcams have built in adjustment options. I am not sure specifically which programs you are running, so I am giving a broad solution which should cover the issue you have described. Please provide adequate lighting on the subject for best results. A backdrop will provide the best results but is not necessary. Many programs offer background replacement, even without a backdrop. The program that the webcam is being used with will likely feature different options to consider in the overall setup. (I am unsure of what program you are using, so I cannot make any specific suggestions on those variables).
-The c920s webcam is supported by Logitech “Capture” and Logitech “G-Hub”. Both programs have an option for backing up the settings, and both have focus adjustments as well as other customizations. I think G-Hub will be best for what you are describing. If you use “Capture”, please adjust the settings in Capture and select the webcam device input as “Capture”.
-With G-Hub, you can make adjustments and see the video through the G Hub software. (If using an App that uses the webcam, you will not see video on the G Hub software as the App will be using the webcam, but the adjustments will be visible on the App’s image display as you make the adjustments through G Hub. If you launch the App while G Hub is open, you will want to close and reopen G Hub so that the App can take control off the webcam’s image). If you select the image of the c920s webcam, you will see the camera/webcam adjustments. Under Camera mode and Video mode, you will want to “add a new camera/video mode to make custom adjustments. You can do this each time you launch the software that you are using, or you can set these settings to launch with a specific app. For example, I have my “G Hub” settings set to launch my webcam settings when I launch an app that uses webcam. (You can right click the app and find the location when manually adding an app if you do not see it as an option after scanning). To set this customization you will want to select the “active profile” pull down on the main screen of G Hub, and you can customize the webcam and other settings specific to certain apps if you want the settings to be remembered and preset for that app.
I hope these suggestions were clear and that this will help you to achieve the settings and performance that you are looking for. I hope you enjoy your c920s webcam, and please feel welcome to visit the Logitech website for further support for any of your Logitech products. I have attached the link to the support page for the c920s webcam; the “G-Hub” and Capture” software are available in the downloads tab.
      Best regards,
      John at Logitech

    Great and small camera!

    Posted .
    Pros mentioned:

Great camera, its small and unobtrusive. I have it on top of my Predator X34 monitor which doesn't have a thick bezel and this camera sits on top just fine. It comes with a privacy shutter, which is good (it will lit a blue light if its on anyways, letting you know if its working). No software is included, so you must go to Logitech's c920 website and you can get it there (there is a settings one and a capture one, pretty basic). Video and audio quality is fine, but don't expect UHD quality, this is a 1080p cam. It's great for video calls (skype) and streaming too! One thing disappointing at is this camera doesn't support windows Hello (signing into windows 10 via facial recognition), for that you must get Logitech's 4K one. This one has auto focus and light correction, which did work great on my poorly lit room!

    Good Webcam for Video Chatting

    Posted .
    Pros mentioned:
Ease of use, Picture quality, Set up
    Cons mentioned:
    Delay

I got the Logitech C920S webcam to replace an aging 720p webcam on a desktop that was beginning to fail. It's a huge upgrade over the old camera, but not quite state of the art and not without some shortcomings. The camera is a low, wide design, about one inch tall and four inches wide. The two microphones are one either end of the camera, making for acceptable separation. The mount is rather clever, allowing the camera to be used on skinny laptops, thicker monitors with curved backs, or desks mounted. It also has a tripod mount screw. There is no physical pan or tilt adjustment. A clip on flip up privacy shield privacy shield is included. Installation was simple(Windows). Mount the camera on the top of the monitor (or laptop screen), or put it to the side. Plug it into a USB port, it auto-installs and pops up a link to download the Logitech Capture, which is control software. The Logitech Capture control panel is also simple, with adjustments for resolution, white-balancing, autofocus, various filters, etc. Buttons for video record and snapshots. The image frame is quite wide angle and can be zoomed. The video quality is excellent, as is the audio. The image is sharp all the way to the edges, the color is nicely saturated, and the color balancing is excellent. The falloff in video quality between 1080p and 720p is minimal, which is nice for video on lower bandwidth links. There is some lag between the subject and the displayed image, but it's not objectionable. There is a software pan and tilt, but only when zoomed in and only to the edges of the full image frame. As a webcam for video chatting or other fairly static presentations, this is a great choice. However, for more dynamic presentations, this webcam has some limitations. The autofocus hunts a bit when the subject is moving around the frame and it's very noticeable. Also, the lack of support for 60hz at 1080p or 720p (spec'ed at 720p, but not available in the software,) makes dynamic scenes (eg., lab experiments, music videos, etc) seem a bit jerky. Also, it's too bad that Logitech didn't choose an oversize sensor that could offer tilt and pan at full frame. Overall, a very nice webcam for chatting and conferencing, but the lack of 60hz support even at 720p and the autofocus performance make is a less desireable choice for many dynamic streaming applications.

First off, my PC is Alienware Core i7 8th generation, 16GB Memory, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics and latest update of Windows 10 that meets the system requirements. Quality of camera is outstanding and video is really clear! Dual mic proofs reliability of voice. Privacy len cover is thoughtful addition. Very happy to have it. Only my thing that didn't work as I wanted is the way it mounted on my Alienware monitor due to the fact my monitor design and curved from it back that prevented my form putting in the center of the monitor, I had to slide it a little bit aside. With that being said, its worth the purchase.

    Small, But Large On Features

Small and very affordable, but large on features, the Logitech C920s Pro HD Webcam comes with advance capture software and allows the user to create and share video content easily. It offers full professional HD 1080p video calling and recording that delivers detailed, crisp and clear images in intense colors. This is possible through the software and the HD autofocus and light correction which adjust to the lighting conditions of the room where the video content is being created. Stereo audio is made possible with the use of the dual mics placed on either side of the glass lens. The 78-degree field of view allows for two people to participate in the video, and the dual mics capture the natural sound of their voices. The software installed very easily, and the webcam is designed to either mount on the computer monitor or a table top tripod. Either way, with the use of the privacy shutter and the autofocus and light correction features, the user is in full control of the video's professional appearance. Use this webcam to Skype, hold on line meetings and conferences, stream video or give tutorials and presentations - all in an easy and professional way. Works well for Skype and video chat. It has low resolution and Frame drop trying to stream. I would spend the extra money if you want to stream on YouTube or Twitch. But still a decent cam to talk with family on Skype.

I have been waiting for good webcams to come back in stock, and I was very pleased to finally get my hands on this highly-rated model. I use this weekly for work from home Zoom calls and it has performed flawlessly. Far better audio and video quality than even my high-end Surface Book 2, and setup was truly plug-and-play. I like the adjustable mount which has been rock solid and the convenient privacy cover means no more unplugging/covering my webcam after use.

Teaching from home, I needed a new webcam to use with my new Mac Mini. All I had to do was plug it in and it worked! VIdeo seems clear and smooth and microphone works well. Compared it to a cheaper webcam I got from Amazon and the image on this was far superior! I did feel it was a bit on the expensive side, however, for its ease of use and the quality of video, I feel it was money well spent!

Excellent web camera! Got tired of having to undock my laptop every time I needed to join a zoom. This allows me to continue to use my multiple monitors, and still join video calls. Set up was a breeze as it connected automatically. The audio is excellent, and the privacy shutter is a nice feature to prevent video when I don't need it (if I forgot to "stop video" within the app). All around great camera at a great price.
