Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the Crayon Digital Pencil's ease of use, appealing price, and overall performance. Many users appreciate its great battery life, compatibility with various iPads, and fast charging capabilities. However, some customers have noted the absence of pressure sensitivity and an unusual shape. Despite these minor drawbacks, the pencil is praised for feeling like a real pen.

Works very good. Light touch, draws very easily, charges fast and charge lasts for a good amount of time. Price is better than Apple Pencil

I really like this. Bought it as a spare for my kids, who use iPads at school and might lose their Apple Pencils, but ended up using it myself. Great price. 1) Unlike Apple Pencil, does not require separate inverted cap (which is easy to lose) to charge with wall charger. You can just plug it into the wall charger as is. (On the other hand, the charging end of it won’t allow you to charge off of the iPad’s charging port like the A.P.) 2) You don’t have to Bluetooth connect it to your iPad. (If there is another pencil Bluetoothed to your device already, you have to disconnect it before using this though). 3) Has a red/green indicator light to tell you if it is charged. (However, there is no way to find out % charge. Apple Pencil can be plugged into your iPad to find out % charge, but it takes a little clicking around. Also note that there is no light on the A.P. itself to tell you it is running low.) 4) **BIG ONE FOR PARENTS** The cap over the charging end is held on by a silicone band; it is not fully detachable. Won’t get lost like A.P. cap. (There ARE aftermarket replacement caps for Apple Pencil that stay attached, if you are still considering the A.P.) Functionality seems to be the same as Apple Pencil. I actually find handwriting a little smoother with Logitech Crayon.

The Logitech Crayon Digital Pencil works great. Excellent accessory for the ipad 6th gen. The charge lasts pretty long, I'd say minimum 6 hours. Easier to charge than apple pencil which requires you to charge by plugging into your ipad or putting on an additional piece into which you can plug the charger. The Logitech pencil you just flip open the orange cap and plug in the charger. Charges quickly, only 30 minutes. Feels comfortable in your hand and does not roll away like the apple pencil when you put it down.

    Excellent Apple Pencil alternative

If you are like me, and wanted something for the kiddos to get creative with their iPad - this is a much better option than the Gen 1 Apple Pencil. It's got a much better arrangement for charging, has a square shape (making it easier to hold) and the stainless with orange accents make it fun and engaging for the little ones. I bought two for a set of twins and couldn't be happier. Kids really like it too. Only downside is now I have to pay for some fancy art school because they are "artists."

This is pretty good. I've never tried the Apple Pencil but this works just like I need it to. It's easy to grip, easy to get started (no pairing necessary) and easy to work with. I use it for Procreate, but found out I can just write a word into the search form in Google and it recognizes that and does the search for me. That's pretty cool. I know I can use it to take notes, as well, so I may do that.

    Less Expensive Alternative

The Crayon is a capable less expensive alternative to the Apple pencil. The battery life is great and it’s easy to start using right out of the box. Some people may find holding the crayon is more comfortable than the Apple pencil. This device works perfectly and if you have a compatible device I woud say there’s no reason the average consumer should avoid the Crayon.

Works as described! I got this to use as I didn’t want to fork up the extra required for the pencil 2 (which in my opinion is way overpriced) right after buying the iPad Pro 11”. Contrary to what most have been saying, it works with with the new IPad Pros, it paired with no issues and works just as my gen 1 pencil did on my previous iPad Pro. The only limitations were that it didn’t charge magnetically, it wasn’t that great on battery (1-2 days at most) and the design is that of an architectural/construction pencil so didn’t have the same comfort levels. It charges via a lightning port on the top of the unit and gets a full charge pretty fast, so if none of the other things bother you it is a definite alternative whether you have a gen 1 or new gen iPad/iPad Pro. Oh yeah, if you get this thing and have/had a pencil paired prior... you MUST remove that pencil’s pair to use this one.

Awesome little pen, use it for mostly note taking for school and coloring. Definitely a cheaper alternative to the Apple pencil and does the job. Also a pretty durable/ and premium looking device. The writing is comparable to Apple pencil and charges with lighting cable Only compatible with iPad 6th gen. Only downside is that I find it uncomfortable to hold for long periods of time due to the shape. Also I wish there were more accessories available like the apple pencil.

If you’ve seen reviews of the Apple Pencil, this thing is pretty much the exact same thing. It can do everything the Apple Pencil can except for pressure sensitivity. This isn’t a problem for me since I use it to take notes, but if that’s something you’re looking for don’t get it. The battery life is good but I wish there was a way to charge it while I’m on the go. Overall pretty good.

I needed a pencil for my ipad to do homework but I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it. I read that this pencil had very good reviews before purchasing it. It connected automatically to my ipad and the battery seems to last a long time. The shape of the pencil is a bit awkward for gripping but I got use to it eventually. I would definitely buy this again.

Bought this over the Apple Pencil for the price. Very intuitive to use, zero effort to set up (automatically pairs with the iPad). With the iPadOS update to 14, it does provide more value over a regular stylus. Unlike the Apple Pencil, it doesn't have the ability to sense writing pressure (to change line width). This isn't an issue for me as I use the Crayon to hand-annotate documents, not draw pictures.

Personally, I like the Logitech Crayon over the Apple Pencil. I think the design of it makes it easier to hold for longer periods of time. It works great with my 6th Gen iPad, paired up easily, and have had no problems with it whatsoever. Works like a dream with Notability. I do wish that it held more of a charge but it does get me through the day and what I need to do, just have to charge it nightly.

I’ve been waiting awhile for this to become available to the general public, since it was originally only available for schools and teachers. This product is great! The only thing the Apple Pencil has over it is the pressure sensitive tip. If that’s something you think you need buy the Apple Pencil. I’ve been using this product for two months and it’s flawless. Every app that works with Apple Pencil works with the Logitech Crayon too!

Bought this for my niece because her uncle got her an apple pencil that was not compatible with her new ipad. Less expensive and just as premium as the Apple product. Easy to set up. This one you can turn on and off. And what a flashy little orange for her to show off!

I bought this for my iPad Pro 11 because the apple pencil was too pricey. This pencil works great with my iPad. I love that I can charge it with a cable instead of plugging it into the tablet, and that it has a power button. This extends battery life significantly. For drawing on the tablet, this is great. It does not have pressure sensitivity like the apple pencil, but that does not bother me.

I honestly had the Apple Pencil 1st Generation before purchasing this Logitech Crayon and I think the two products worked exactly the same. I think if I had to choose between the two, I’d choose the crayon because it’s a cheaper alternative with the same functionality and very similar as far as usage is concerned.

For the price it does a good job. It does not have full functionality like apple pen, but it does the basic operations. Easy to connect. Although - I heard only - that some apps do not work well with it. THIS IS NOT VERIFIED BY ME. All apps that I used were working well with the pen.

Went to Best Buy and found out that they were out of the Apple Pencil. I was recommended this pencil by the Best Buy associate since I needed something ASAP. My daughter used it a lot for online school. It’s perfect, it connects easily, stays charged for days! I’ve had no issues and because of its unique design it doesn’t roll away. :)

I needed a stylus for taking notes on an iPad and this was perfect. I got it on sale for $40 and it was well worth the price. The stylus does everything the Apple Pencil does (besides pressure sensitivity) and I would definitely recommend this. It's also very easy to use as there is no explicit pairing process; it's just turn the Crayon on and it works!
