The Logitech Crayon for iPad is a no-nonsense alternative to other iPad pen options. The construction and design are done well. The flat shape and power button are welcomed physical features. Getting the pen to work out of the box with a 6th generation iPad was a breeze. No issues, and instant usability. The Crayons palm rejection is great and is hands down better than any “dumb” stylus. Logitech claims about 7 hours battery life – which can easily be recharge with the onboard lightning port. Compared to other pens that plug directly into the bottom of the iPad to charge, this design seems like a much better option. Overall, the Crayon is great. Battery life is good, palm rejection is great, design is fantastic. My only word of warning is with regards to pressure sensitivity. If your primary goal is art, this may not be the pen for you. Paying a premium for a pressure sensitive option is likely the way to go. However, if your primary use is writing, note taking, or any other non-art based activity – it's an excellent choice at an excellent price.

First impression is I like the style vs the Apple pencil. I use 3 sided and carpenter pencils and the flat design works for me. For others it may not. I charged the crayon with my Pixel charger and the lightning to USB cable. I wish there was an indicator that said it was fully charged. The scant instructions were of no help. I Googled it and saw that it charges rather rapidly so I figured I was good. The crayon paired up and was ready to go. It works great and there didn't seem to be any lag. The only difference I could see between the Apple pencil and the crayon was the Logitech isn't pressure sensitive and it doesn't have any variation when you're drawing a line. For me using it as a pen, it's great. If you're wanting to draw with it, I'd suggest to pony up the extra few bucks and get the Apple pencil. Two things to mention. I've read that the crayon is only good for the 6th generation iPad and not the pro models. Second there is a firmware update from August 29th on the Logitech website. I haven't installed it and the site doesn't state what the update does so maybe it adds features that currently don't work with my crayon. Overall it's great for me, but should I want to use it with apps and pressure sensitivity, I'll have to purchase an Apple pencil too.

For those that avoided the Apple Pencil is because of the price and the stories of it being too fragile to drops this may be a great alternative. Super easy to use. Literally just power it on and go. It did take me a couple of attempts to know if it was on or off. The light stays in briefly so you’re really not sure. It works pretty accurately in my opinion. No lag, very responsive. It just doesn’t have the pressure feature so to affect the thickness of lines when needed you have to tilt more to get the effect (or use the line thickness option available on the iPad). Battery life is pretty good but not as long as the Apple Pencil. It does quick charge if you need a short use...2 min charge gives you 30 mins of use. The shape feels more comfortable than I thought it would. The only negatives I have so far is the battery life. It’s not terrible but for a student that may have a long day of classes it’s possible they will have to have a charging break or carry a battery pack just in case. Also just a quick research of tip replacements on Logitech’s website feels a little pricey and may be more quantity than one needs. Hopefully retailers will have them easily available also so you’re not forced to order and wait.

Works well for child using iPad. Less expensive than Apple Pen.

This is a better product than the Apple Pencil in my opinion.

Bought this thing so my son could get his homework down on his I-Pad worked twice and stop working got in touch with there technical support they asked a million question that didn’t help the problem at all. Returned it problem solved.

Not what I was expecting. There’s only so many coloring websites or apps to use it with. Other then that I haven’t found any real use for it

I really like the Logitech Crayon! This is such a cool device. It feels like it was built to last. It is light weight but strong! The pen has a removable tip on one end just in case you need to replace it. On the other end is a silicone cover that keeps dirt out of the charging port. The charging port uses a standard lightning cable. On one side of the pen is the power button. That's all there is to it! Hold the power button for 1 second and the pen turns on. No other pairing or steps need to be taken to get the pen to work with the iPad (6th generation). I like that when the pen touches the iPad, palm rejection is automatically enabled. I did not have any issue pressing the screen with my palm while using the pen. The pen also works with the apps that already support the Apple Pencil. Over all, very cool device that is cheaper then the Apple Pencil! You'll love it!

The battery does not last! You have to use it immediately after it’s charged. I took it with me to use in a presentation and took it out 7 hours after being unplugged and it did not work.

Overall, I like this stylus. It works well within given iPad apps, but I feel it should work throughout the entire interface, including the home screen. Had a bit of trouble linking, at the outset, but now everything seems fine.

Honestly I was very excited for this but unfortunately it doesn’t stay on , I’ve tried different chargers and left it charging for enough time and it turns off as soon as I start using it.

Broke within6 months, I would not reccomend this one, go with the name brand.

I returned this item because it did not work at all. It may have been defective. I don’t know but, it didn’t work on my iPad mini 5 and it said it was suppose to be compatible.

This is awful. Doesn’t charge (or hold a charge). It worked for about a day and then dead.

Can’t really tell if this is a good buy since it does not work with my IPad as advertised. It is a 5th gen. Once I started researching why it was working, found out it only works with 6 gen iPads
