I was going to purchase the Apple Pencil for my sons to use on their iPad, when a Best Buy associate recomemded this "crayon" as more age appropriate for my young boys. It seems a lot less fragile compared to the Apple Pencil. The charging in my opinion is better for the kids because it has an actual charging port you plug the lightning cable into vs pluging the Apple Pencil into the ipad and risk breaking the Pencil. Works great, holds a good charge and most important, the kids love it!

Great alternative to Apple Pencil first generation. Doesn't roll, connects immediately to iPad but best is that charging cable connects to pencil, no awkward plugging pencil into iPad to charge and risk breaking off.

The ease of pairing is great. The size, feel and rectangular shape is both functional and aesthetically pleasing to use in the hand and fingers. The inclusion of tilt sensitivity but lack of pressure sensitivity makes the crayon less functional for consumers desiring greater creative control. For the layperson it is a great price point, ease of use, comfort and battery life. But in the end the Apple Pencil has longer battery life, more functionality and more device can be used by the Apple Pencil. Not sure why Logitech limited use to 6th generation iPads only and excluded IPad pros.

Bought this for $25.00 cheaper than the Apple Pencil. Works well with my iPad latest gen. Not iPad Pro. Does everything I need, so far so good, battery life not a problem(shorter between charges than Apple). If you don' need pressure sensitive, get this pencil.

Just bought the new iPad 6 and wanted to get a pencil to use with it. This works great and is much cheaper than the apple brand. Charges fast and lasts a long time too. Very happy with this purchase.

The Logitech pen is metal, has flat sides and fits my hand. The charging port is female covered by an attached cap and does not require inserting into the tablet port to mate with my iPad. The learning curve is pretty flat, documentation is understandable. The palette of options when making notes has quite a variety of choices. All in all it has worked out to meet my needs for making notes on screen shots on my iPad.

This Logitech pencil works great. I also own a stylus from another maker and this works just as well. It charges pretty quickly and is easy to connect. I wish it had a carrying case to attach to my tablet so it would be more handy, but I just keep it in my bag until I'm ready to use it. It's less expensive than others on the market so definitely worth a look!

The Logitech Crayon Digital Pencil works great. Excellent accessory for the ipad 6th gen. The charge lasts pretty long, I'd say minimum 6 hours. Easier to charge than apple pencil which requires you to charge by plugging into your ipad or putting on an additional piece into which you can plug the charger. The Logitech pencil you just flip open the orange cap and plug in the charger. Charges quickly, only 30 minutes. Feels comfortable in your hand and does not roll away like the apple pencil when you put it down.

This doesn't have a pressure sensor like the Apple Pencil. So if your primary goal is drawing, go to Apple Pencil instead. This is nice for people who have kids since it doesn't require pairing process. It just connects via simply turning on the stylus and getting closer to the iPad. Also, this doesn't roll off the table like the Apple Pencil. And you can simply charge with Lightning cable, which is pretty much convenient.

The Logitech Crayon for iPad is a no-nonsense alternative to other iPad pen options. The construction and design are done well. The flat shape and power button are welcomed physical features. Getting the pen to work out of the box with a 6th generation iPad was a breeze. No issues, and instant usability. The Crayons palm rejection is great and is hands down better than any "dumb" stylus. Logitech claims about 7 hours battery life - which can easily be recharge with the onboard lightning port. Compared to other pens that plug directly into the bottom of the iPad to charge, this design seems like a much better option. Overall, the Crayon is great. Battery life is good, palm rejection is great, design is fantastic. My only word of warning is with regards to pressure sensitivity. If your primary goal is art, this may not be the pen for you. Paying a premium for a pressure sensitive option is likely the way to go. However, if your primary use is writing, note taking, or any other non-art based activity - it's an excellent choice at an excellent price.

I have an iPad 6th Generation and wanted to try a new stylus as my Apple stylus was getting old. This Logitech "Crayon" digital pencil is an evolved version of a tablet pen. I particularly like the flat design of the pen as the Apple pen was round and kept rolling away from me when I needed it. The charge lasts a long time on this pen and it connecting immediately when I started it up. My only negative is that this pen doesn't do a good job of responding to pressure. With the Apple pen, you could press harder and make a thicker line.

I have the new iPad with iPencil support. I have been using their own product but have issues with it. I was very happy to see that Logitech came out with their own Pencil stylus for the iPad. I am very impressed with this product for the various reasons. Pros: - Price. Why am I starting with this? Even though the new iPad is cheaper compared to the Pro models, spending another $100 takes a toll on your budget. Thankfully the CRAYON is $30 cheaper and does the same things, and is better alternative to the other stylus' available. -On/Off button: I can turn this off and save battery time. There is a physical On/Off button on the top of the CRAYON that you can toggle. This saves me battery time. -Set up: no pairing. Just take a picture of a QR code and the CRAYON is ready to go. -Weight: for me, it's lighter and easier to hold than the iPencil. It is not completely round, has flat surfaces which allow my small hand to grip it better ergonomically. Cons: -You cannot use it on another iPad. Once synced to an iPad, it's only for that iPad. Battery life: yes, you can turn it on and off, but using it continuously, gave me about 7 hours. That is less than it's major competitor, but who will be drawing for that long? I like the CRAYON a lot, although there are some noticeable differences. If you are on a budget and don't like the other brands, the CRAYON is great. It feels better for those with smaller hands, and can do the same job as the big named one. Great purchase!

The Logitech CRAYON Digital Pencil iPad (6th Generation) is a worthy, less-expensive alternative to the Apple Pencil. There are, however, a couple of details to consider before purchasing: It only works with the 6th Generation iPad introduced in early 2018 and it doesn't support pressure sensitivity. So, if you're an artist, you should go with the Apple Pencil. For most uses, though, this is a completely competent alternative to the Apple Pencil. Especially for casual or occasional use. It is very responsive and does support the tilt feature. The issue of the long-term confort of the Crayon versus the Pencil is probably a matter of personal preference. The CRAYON also has a couple of welcome design elements. - It uses a female lightning charge connection and thus is simple to charge using the same charger as the iPad 6th Generation. This is much nicer than Apple's male connection with requires a special cable or sticking it into the lightning port of the iPad which is very unintuitive and awkward. - The charging cap is attached to the pencil so you don't have to keep track of it as you do with the cap on the Apple Pencil. - It doesn't roll around. So, unless you're using the iPad 6th Generation for serious artistic purposes, the Logitech CRAYON Digital Pencil is a great choice. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it doesn't support pressure sensitivity.

This is a stylus, a really nice stylus with some extra features, but essentially just a stylus. It's designed to lay flat, you can adjust line width; how well depends on the app that you are using it with. Battery life is as advertised. I'd give it 5 stars, but the advertising makes it look cooler than what it really is. It's still you drawing that picture or painting it in, it just makes doing that easier. I'd say it's better used for productivity than creativity (in my case at least) and does make markups easier on documents. If your old enough to remember having to use a pen to compose and correct you work, then this will make some tasks on the tablet more comfortable.

Shaped like a carpenter's pencil, this CRAYON fits perfectly in my fingers allowing for the wrist movement needed to create great sketches and renderings. The CRAYON can replicate the markings of crayons, pen & ink, water coloring, markers, sharpie, etc. freely and easily because the CRAYON works at all angles and interacts well with the functions of the iPad. The CRAYON works only with the 2018 iPad Generation 6. As of now, it does not work with iPad pro. However, with the 2018 Generation 6 iPad it is a must to have. I love the shape. My father was a known craftsman builder and I have been writing with pencils this shape since before grade school. The action and results of the CRAYON is much like another window based stand-alone sketching pad and pencil that I have often used in the past. I also like the fact that this product is free and simple, and not attached to anything. It's powered by a battery charge, but otherwise it simply works just like an actual pen or pencil. Using the apple technology of the iPad pencil (which I also regularly use) the CRAYON is unlike the Pencil in that no pairing is necessary. Instead of pairing the CRAYON to the iPad, you simply turn it on. With the Generation 6 iPad, the connection and response time is immediate. It's very simple to charge, and it is very well designed with all necessary working and charging parts contained within itself. This aspect of the design is another plus in that there is nothing to keep up with but the CRAYON itself. I have not had the opportunity to use the CRAYON for seven straight hours in one charging, but the specifications state this to be a feature. I have used the CRAYON several times throughout the day and have not had any issues with it not retaining the charge. It also seems to have a rapid charge and I do charge it daily. I recommend this product and feel it a great choice for someone in business who sketches a lot, and the best choice for K-12 users.
