I purchased this keyboard because of experiencing the early stages of carpal tunnel syndrome. At first use I felt an immediate relief to the strain caused by using my laptop keyboard. The design provides a more natural positioning for my hands and wrists while resting on the homerow keys. However, the new angle did require me to be adjust to the slight angle of the the keys. The only semi-negative observation is that I wish the wrist rest had more padding, preferably memory foam. That would indeed be the ultimate enhancement to the overall design of the keyboard.

Been used Microsoft surface ergo keyboard for years, need to switch between Mac & surface book so here we go.
Still Msft has better build quality for an old product, but again if you need to switch & ergo then this keyboard seems the only choice.

I wasn't able to use the included Unifying Receiver. I used the receiver for my ERGO trackball to pair the keyboard with my laptop. Logitech should either sell separate Windows and Mac version of the keyboard, or include stickers to identify Windows and Mac function keys. I ended up using masking tape to make it clear which keys are for Windows. I'll mention the angle of the left and right sides of the keyboard, as well as the feel of the keys make typing on this keyboard an absolute joy.

Thank you for your candid feedback on the Logitech ERGO K860. We understand your frustration with the Unifying Receiver and the function key layout for different operating systems. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused, and we appreciate you sharing your workaround using masking tape. We will certainly take your suggestion of separate versions or identifying stickers into consideration for future product development. We're glad to hear, however, that you find the typing experience itself enjoyable.

If you're good at typing this might work. The wrist pad is nice but the split keyboard is too awkward. I couldn't get used to it to be fluid and efficient. It might be perfect for some. Bluetooth was easy to connect with.

I type all day long and I Highly Recommend this product. The first thing that stood out to me about this Logitech ergonomic keyboard were the sleek keys and how quiet they are. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable this keyboard actually is. I thought it would take me some time to get used to the split board aspect, but it felt natural from the get go so I got used to it within minutes. As someone who sits in front of a computer 40 hours a week, getting an ergonomic keyboard is a no-brainer. It’s just the tool I need to relieve some strain from my wrists.
COMFORT FEATURES: The pillowed wrist rest is super soft and gives my wrists the support they need to type with proper posture. I decided to use the kick-stands to place the keyboard at a 7 degree inclination (available at 4 and 0 as well) giving my palms/wrists the lift they need to type naturally and comfortably.
SET UP & MULTI-DEVICE USE: Set up was extremely quick. The USB dongle worked instantly on desktop. This keyboard has 3 quick keys to switch to different devices including smartphones. Being able to use the keyboard for my mobile device (via Bluetooth) saves me time as well as continues to minimize strain from mobile typing which is a big part of my day job. Instead of having to email myself the text, I can simply switch devices with the press of a button and type directly on my mobile or tablet devices.
QUALITY: Not only does this keyboard FEEL like a quality product, my experience thus far is that it IS a quality product. I will be using it at least 5 days a week for the foreseeable future, so working with a quality tool is simply a good idea.
PACKAGING & STYLE: The box it comes in gives a great first impression - gotta love good packaging. The box is nice and it comes with some reading material to get you better acquainted with the keyboard. Usually when one thinks of ergonomic or split keyboards they’re this space-age, clunky device. Not this one! It’s performance does not compromise style. Looks good, feels good, all around a great product.
NICE EXTRAS: Batteries are included and there’s even a neat little space for storing the USB dongle next to the batteries of the keyboard for easy transport.
OVERALL TAKEAWAY: As I mentioned above, I highly recommend the Logitech ERGO K860. It is an understatement to say that I am happy with this product. I’m a big proponent of investing in products that help me work comfortably and I’ve found that in this keyboard. Typing naturally and comfortably honestly helps me focus on my tasks rather than get distracted from wrist strain. This is one of the best ergonomic keyboards out there so if you’re in the market for one, look no further. This just might be the tool for you.

Great Keyboard

I'm going to start by first admitting that I have had the opportunity over the years to use multiple Logitech products and I have never been dissapointed. This keyboard is no different.
This is a quality keyboard. The packaging is attractive and effective. In the box you have the keyboard, the usual quick start guide, USB adapter and batteries. A note on the batteries: they are listed to last 2 years and while I can't vouch, I have no reason to doubt the claim based on my previous experience with Logitech equipment.
The keyboard comes with a USB option and a Bluetooth option. I connected to my AIO desktop via Bluetooth and it took just seconds. It can be connected to up to 3 devices via BT and easily switched by selecting one of three key options to toggle back and forth between the devices. If you don't have a BT option, you can use the USB option. In the battery compartment, there is a convenient slot to hold the USB adapter.
As for the keyboard itself, the wrist pad is an great inclusion, but note, it is relatively large and does take up more real estate on your desk than most others. If you have the room, this is well worth the trade. The keys are sooth and quiet. It also has the option to program the F keys. I tested it (even though I probably won't use it) and it was easy to do and I could see how it could be a nice feature for some users.
As several other reviewers have mentioned, if you are not used to using the split keyboard then there is a learning curve. This is NOT a knock or negative on the keyboard, just a clinical fact. That said, after a little practice it's a really nice KB all around.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it did not include a back-light option. I guess they purposefully excluded that for the sake of battery life, but as a night-owl, I do some of my best work well after dark and would have appreciated that at least as an option. Oh well, not a deal breaker.
In all, a great keyboard from a consistently good company. I would eagerly recommend to a friend.
Well done Logitech.

I’ve been using Logitech products for several years. I have an MX Mouse that I absolutely adore. I’d been thinking about using a split keyboard as I often spend hours at my desk typing various things (mainly e-mail and reports). While it certainly takes some getting used to, after using the keyboard for a few days, I really don’t want to move my hands. The wrist rest is incredibly comfortable and gives my hands a lot of support. They feel much more natural than with a standard keyboard. I didn’t realize what I was missing until I went down this route!
They keyboard is a good size and weight. The keys create the right level of resistance and travel. They feel very comfortable to use. I don’t find myself accidentally typing anything I don’t want, nor do I find myself with tired fingers at the end of the day. The only difficulty I really have is finding the “Y” and “B” keys with my fingers. Apparently, I taught myself incorrectly when I learned to touch type many years ago. This keyboard is forcing me to learn the standard approach. I can’t blame Logitech for my own poor education. Curiously, the hardest phrase for me to write now is ‘Natural typing position’. If you can get that right on this keyboard, thank your instructor!
The K860 connects via Bluetooth or with the included dongle. You can also connect with up to 3 devices such as a laptop, phone, or TV. The downloadable software allows you to customize the function keys on your Windows or Mac machine. By default, the custom functions are in play (like many laptops these days). You can change that easily with the fn-lock button, a nice addition instead of having to go through the software. The keyboard is missing a ‘Pause’ key, but it adds keys for calculator and ‘right click’ menu context. Personally, I use those way more than I use pause in my office work. It will sit comfortably on your lap or on your desk, depending on what your natural typing position is.
The only thing I would take points off for was Logitech’s decision not to include backlit keys, rechargeable batteries, or Flow on this model. Mechanically and from a design perspective, this keyboard shares a pedigree with Logitech’s ‘MX’ series of premium devices. It also shares a price point, coming in slightly above the MX Keys keyboard that includes the above. Moving to this from the K800 backlit keyboard would have been a much easier choice if I hadn’t had to give up that functionality. Ultimately, that takes a star off the review for what’s otherwise an excellent unit.
