Customers commend the Flip Folio Keyboard Case for its solid build quality, reliable connectivity, and convenient portability, enhanced by magnetic attachment. Users also appreciate the long-lasting battery life, adequate protection, and comfortable typing experience reminiscent of a laptop. However, some customers express a desire for stronger magnets and note that the case adds noticeable weight to the iPad. Overall, the keyboard case is well-received for its positive attributes, with the magnet strength and weight being areas for potential improvement.

My daughter is sooo happy with this case! She absolutely loves that it comes with a keyboard and that it is made with such good quality! She’s only been using it for about a week so I can’t speak to how long they last, but the quality is so much better than others she has used In the past!

There’s some pros and cons with this little guy let’s get right into it.
Pros
1) Light
2) Detachable keyboard (pro and a con)
3) Can pair keyboard quickly to 3 devices
4) Case can fold to various angles
5) Strong magnets for the iPad itself
Cons
1) Keyboard runs on circular / replaceable batteries (CR2032) so it means it is not rechargeable
2) The keyboard magnet on the back cover could be stronger, it is slightly flimsy when you attach the keyboard to the case
3) No trackpad
4) Edges not protected
5) Comes in only 1 color scheme
Overall I would recommend this product. I was a little skeptical about the multi-device switch, but Logitech’s reliable switch was very useful. I’m able to switch between my iPad and iPhone seamlessly. Once you pair it, you just press the switch button and it automatically switches to the device you want. The first time you pair, remember you have to press enter after typing in the pairing number.
The keyboard feels better than your average slim/portable keyboard… sturdy, clicky, satisfying. The keys are responsive, there’s no caps lock light, only lights on the keyboard is the multi-device switch, and only lights up temporarily. There are media buttons, screen brightness, the usual multi-function keys, much appreciated. In case people missed it, it is an iPad keyboard, so it has the macOS layout, with the apple button etc. I did do a little test, I was able to be about 20 feet away from my iPad before the signals became jittery, so more than practical since you can’t even read the text after 5 feet.
I wish the magnet for the keyboard was better, it felt a little weaker/flimsier than the main magnet for the iPad. Always a little worried about the keyboard falling out, it never did, but… it worries me. And I wish there were other colors, but this is the only color for now. After playing with it, I am torn between all the options. There are definitely pros and cons with every case/keyboard combo out there, this is a very compelling package and I would highly recommend it to be in your tool set.

This review is for the 13" M4 iPad Pro Logitech Folio case. Logitech has released a series of Folio cases for various newer model iPads. The cases are specific to a individual model and not compatible across the similar iPad line. This case, while good for the latest M4 model, will not work with any other iPad Pro model.
There are quite a few keyboard cases available for the iPad. The purpose of any of these is to turn your iPad into a productivity tool beyond what can be achieved with the on screen tools. Where the Logitech Folio differs is in it's design is that it's not a keyboard case in the traditional sense. The keyboard is not built into the case. The keyboard and the case as separate pieces. You get a case and you get a separate keyboard. The keyboard connects via bluetooth. How does it differ from many standard case and any bluetooth keyboard you can pair together? Magnets. The iPad attaches to the case via magnets similar to other cases, but there is a cutout in the case lid where the keyboard will also attach magnetically. It's a really cool system that keeps your iPad and keyboard together as you travel. When you get to your destination, take them apart, prop up your case with iPad, turn on the keyboard, and type away.
The case itself is well built. The iPad attaches magnetically. I wish the magnets were a bit stronger, I've had a few cases where the ipad slipped out of position when moving around. It hasn't dropped my iPad, but it's come close. The case has a fold in the lid that bends then folds back to provide the support on display mode. The fold is really stiff and folds in a direction that seems unnatural, but it works well. You can prop the iPad up at various angles. The magnets are arranged such that you can leave the iPad horizontal in the case or remove the iPad and place it vertically in the case if that is the way you want to type. In the vertical position, there is space to prop up an iphone next to the iPad.
The keyboard is nice. It's not really any different than many of Logitech's standard bluetooth keyboards. The layout is nice. The keys are nice to type on. And the key spacing isn't too bad for a small keyboard. There is also a nice little fabric tab that's helpful for pulling the keyboard free. Since the keyboard doesn't physically connect to the iPad, it doesn't get power from the iPad. Instead is uses two coin batteries. There is an on/off switch for powering the unit up. I wish it was a USB-C rechargeable unit. They say the keyboard will go a year+ on the batteries, but when it does die, you have to track down an unusual battery size. I'd much rather have it rechargable.
Overall, it's a very well designed and nice combination. Why only 4 stars? A few things lowered my rating of the Folio. The case itself is nice and very sturdy, but it also a lot heavier than other cases. Folding it into position takes some effort since the joints on the lid are very stiff. I wish the keyboard was rechargeable as well. The biggest issue to me is cost. You get quality for what you pay, but the $180 price is very high. You can get a nice case for your iPad and a nice bluetooth keyboard (even a Logitech model) that does the same thing for half the price of the Folio. It won't magnetically snap together, but for the price difference that may not matter to some people.
I recommend the Folio if you understand the cost and uniqueness of it.

I was very excited to try out Logitech's new solution for keyboard and protection for the newer generation iPad Pro. I have a few other cases that I use pretty regularly, including the Magic Keyboard and Logitech's Combo Touch solution. I was intrigued by this new Flip Folio idea because it kind of mashes what I like about the Magic Keyboard and the Combo Touch together. I really love the kickstand feature of the Combo Touch, but I also really love how the Magic Keyboard doesn't wrap completely around the iPad. This makes it easy to just lift the iPad off the Magic Keyboard and use it solo. The Combo Touch has a buffet case that goes all the way around the iPad Pro, not great if you want to use the iPad without anything on it. This Flip Folio is able to handle that easy transition and includes the great kickstand. At first, I was a bit worried that I wouldn't have a trackpad to use, but then I realized that I always carry and use a mouse with my iPad anyhow. I carry around the MX Anywhere 3 and have that connected to my iPad Pro and a couple of other laptops. So normally in my day-to-day work, I use the MX Anywhere 3, not the trackpad on the Combo Touch or Magic Keyboard. Now, don't get me wrong, I sometimes do use those trackpads, primarily when I am sitting on the couch working with the iPad on my lap and I don't have room for the mouse, but this is very infrequent.
My initial impressions is that I love this Flip Folio solution despite there not being a trackpad. It's great if you either primarily navigate your iPad with touch, or if you are like me and use a mouse to get work done. It's nice to have that keyboard there in case you need it, but completely out of the way when you don't. The case is also great. It fits the M4 13" iPad Pro perfectly, you get the sleep/wake feature when you close the case. The keyboard stows away nicely on the outside of the cover and also goes into sleep mode. Again, I love how the case really just attaches to the back and it make it easier to remove the iPad when I want to use it on it's own.
After using the Flip Folio for a bit I did notice a couple of things that have given me pause. First, the keyboard doesn't offer any backlight. Just about every other keyboard that I use has this, and at this point I kinda feel like this has been a standard feature. Now, this could be a cost choice, or a way to keep their 2 year battery life claim. Which brings me to my second quibble; the keyboard doesn't offer a rechargeable battery, instead it relies on 4 of those coin size batteries (CR2016). Now, thankfully they claim that those 4 batteries should last you 2 years of use, so this might be a better solution than having a rechargeable battery that you are having to worry about.
All-in-all, I really like this solution and I see myself using this as my primary case/keyboard solution for my iPad Pro. I really wish they had added a backlight, but I can manage without it. The keyboard itself is a pleasure to use, as you'd expect from Logitech. After just a little bit of time I was already comfortable using it, and you get all the shortcuts you'd expect to control volume, track control, brightness, etc. Plus, the keyboard will pair with 3 devices and you can easily swap between them with he 3 buttons at the top of the keyboard. It is very close to a complete solution. I love it.

Your detailed explanation of how it perfectly complements your existing MX Anywhere 3 mouse workflow, along with your balanced feedback on the lack of a backlight and non-rechargeable batteries, provides valuable real-world perspective. Ultimately, we're thrilled it's become your preferred solution, delivering the expected Logitech typing quality and seamless multi-device functionality that makes it "very close to a complete solution."

I have the iPad Pro 13” M4, and I am always on the look out for a different case. I currently have the Magic Keyboard, which was really expensive, and I’m not a huge fan. I was excited to try out the FlipFolio, hoping that maybe it would be more customizable and adjustable than the Apple products. The results of my use are pretty mixed.
First of all, the folio case itself is made of good material. It’s an attractive dark gray color that won’t get dirty easy and will clean off even easier. It will most likely handle a drop pretty well too. But, when you set the iPad inside of it, you don’t get that reassuring tug and snap that occurs when you place the iPad into the Magic Keyboard case. Instead, the iPad just kind of sits in the FlipFolio. It doesn’t snap in or feel like it is going to stay in place if you had to move it around a bit. And sure enough, all I had to do was turn the Flip Folio (while it was open) over, with the iPad facing down, and the iPad fell out immediately. I thought maybe I had done something wrong, or placed the iPad inside the FlipFolio incorrectly, but nope, it’s just the way it is designed. It does not lock in like it does with other cases I’ve tried, and to be honest, for how much money I paid for the iPad, I want a case that secures that iPad solidly. Now, with the cover of the Flip Folio closed, the IPad stays in place without a problem. It feels like the cover closes more securely than the iPad fits in the Flip Folio. For me, this is a showstopper. I cannot have an iPad that falls out of a case. All it would take is one accidental movement and the 1600 dollar tablet is hitting the floor. I took a video of this occurring, I hope it will upload to the site.
I don’t much care for the folding hinge either, that turns into a stand. After just a couple of uses, the material around the hinge was bulging out, and the hinge was really difficult to move into a good spot. Makes me concerned for the longevity of the case. You can see in one of the pictures, the area I am talking about with the hinge.
The keyboard is nice. I typed this review with it and made hardly any mistakes at all. Letters are well-spaced, the travel is nice, and the battery life goes on and on. One thing missing- backlit keys. And, you are not going to type with this on your lap. There’s no way, because the keyboard is a separate device and not attached to the case. I do like the way the keyboard docks. Just flip it over and it magnetically attaches to the case for easy carrying.
If you are looking to place the FlipFolio on your lap and type, I think you have to look elsewhere. If you want the peace of mind that comes with having a secure case for your iPad, I think you have to look elsewhere.

After about a week with the Logitech Flip Folio on my M4 iPad Pro, I’ve got a few thoughts. It’s not a bad setup, but definitely a mixed bag.
First off, it’s heavy. The whole appeal of the new iPad is how light it is, and this case kind of kills that. It feels like I’m back to hauling around one of those older, chunky 12.9" iPads. Yeah, you can take the keyboard off to lighten the load which is fine if I’m heading to the gym, but if I'm using it on the go for actual productivity , that kind of defeats the purpose of having it all together.
Typing on it feels pretty good, and I’ve used it for emails, writing, and general stuff like watching movies or playing games. But one thing that bugs me is the whole keyboard power situation. If you take the keyboard off and forget to turn it off, the on-screen keyboard won’t show up. That’s annoying if you’re using the iPad next to your monitor or just trying to work quickly. Having to remember to power it off feels like a step back, especially after getting used to Apple’s Magic Keyboard where it all just works automatically.
Now, something I really do like is the kickstand. It’s got a nice rigidity to it and pops out cleanly. I found it really useful for gaming—just pop my feet up and rest the iPad on my knees, and it holds steady at just the right angle. Way better than those flimsy folio-style triangle cases.
The magnets for snapping the keyboard on work okay, but they’re not super satisfying. It doesn’t feel like it locks in—more like it kind of mushes into place. It holds, though, and I’m not worried about it falling off or anything.
I think this case would be a good fit for someone who wants more flexibility than Apple’s Magic Keyboard and is interested in saving a bit of money. That said, it’s not my favorite for everyday use. I’d probably steer you toward something like the Logitech Combo or even the Logitech Casa pop-up setup if they want something a little more well-rounded.
Overall, the Flip Folio does what it says, but it’s not quite the perfect fit for me.

Your review of the Logitech Flip Folio Keyboard Case for iPad Pro 13-inch provides a very candid look at its strengths and weaknesses after a week of use. While you value its flexibility and cost-effectiveness compared to Apple's Magic Keyboard, the significant added weight is a clear downside for the lightweight M4 iPad Pro. The need to manually power off the keyboard to get the on-screen keyboard back is also a notable inconvenience. Conversely, the rigid kickstand is a definite highlight, proving excellent for media consumption and gaming. Though the magnetic attachment isn't "satisfying," it holds. Ultimately, while it fulfills its promises, it's not your personal ideal for daily use, leading you to suggest other Logitech alternatives for a more balanced experience.

The Flipfolio keyboard came in clutch

I just got back from a four day shoot at a Children’s Christian Camp that I volunteered for and this is how I used this flip folio.
It was purely out of coincidence that I brought along the iPad just in case I had some down time so I could entertain myself.
I have an iPad Pro 13 inch. I thought I was just shooting footage and going back home and editing. I was asked that very night if I could put something together for the kids the next morning. I’ve read up on the iPad and the type of chip it has and I figured I could download davinci, well I did. I ended up having to learn a bit of the reduced app and the folio came in clutch with the shortcuts and the angle it had my iPad in. I was able to have a great workflow all while feeling like a laptop. The keyboard felt soft and not tactile, it wasn’t too loud as I typed so that was great while they kept filming. The only thing that scares me is that it’s all magnetic and the iPad is very thin, I get anxiety. I wish there was a better way of securing the keyboard since I’ve already dropped it by it brushing up against my shirt under my arm. I can link my iPad and iPhone to the keyboard and switching between them is easy. I that I don’t know how to take the batteries out of this thing but the back says it has a button battery, I think I have more appreciation for the keyboard right now because it saved my weekend.

Your impromptu use of the Logitech Flip Folio Keyboard Case for iPad Pro 13-inch during your camp shoot truly showcases its unexpected utility for content creation on the go! It's fantastic that the case, with its helpful shortcuts and stable viewing angle, facilitated your DaVinci Resolve workflow, providing a laptop-like experience that "saved your weekend." You appreciated the soft, quiet, and non-tactile keyboard for its discreet typing during filming, and the ease of switching between your iPad and iPhone is a clear convenience. However, your anxiety over the all-magnetic attachment for such a thin iPad is understandable, especially after a near-drop, highlighting a desire for more secure keyboard storage. Regarding battery replacement, the Flip Folio for the 13-inch iPad Pro (M4) typically uses four CR2016 coin cell batteries, accessible by unlocking a tray on the keyboard's top edge, often requiring a paperclip.

Review of Logi Flip Folio for iPad Pro 13-Inch (M4) & iPad Air 11-Inch (M2 & M3)
The Logi Flip Folio is a practical cover and protector for iPad, with addition of keyboard attachable to the cover.
First of all, it gets magnetically attached which is opposite to the Combo Touch that requires slip into a case. Due to this little difference, make practical to remove the iPad from the cover anytime.
Secondly, the back support to adjust viewing angle is part of a single piece, the cover, which bend to the angle depending on the intended usage.
Then as part of it comes a detachable or attachable keyboard. It is a simple version of keyboard made for mobility and what differentiate from its similar size and purpose category, it is magnetically attachable to the cover.
For more specific of the keyboard, it has:
1. Power On/Off
2. Can connect to up to 3 devices,
3. It is battery powered with type CR2016 x4, according to Logi it last up to 2 years.
4. It has little detail as a tag alike to make easy to grab from the cover.
The keyboard itself feels totally a separate from the folio, or as if it would be an accessory to the folio. Typing does fell not bad for its size and what it meant to. Slightly less bouncy as type each key, and the had position require a bit of stress to accommodate to the boundaries of the keyboard size.
Otherwise, all of the functionalities are the same as Logi Keyboards without numeric pad version.
Now, using the keyboard with the folio, or vice versa, while having in closed mode, does feel practical in a sense how fast to open, detach either keyboard or iPad, or close, or bend the cover to adjust viewing angle.
What I wish it would be better:
1. Its thickness. In closed mode with the iPad within, it is between almost half of inch the part the keyboard is not attached to almost 3 1/4 to the part that keyboard is attached. This is almost the double of the actual iPad. Considering the purpose of folio, would be wishful to have it thinner
2. The keyboard when it is attached, it gets detached easily. In one case, as holding with one hand, for some reason shake a bit, it gets detached. Another case, when slip in the iPad with Folio in closed mode into a backpack compartment, the keyboard gets removed.
3. Weight, this relates to the #1, but it gets bit heavier with the folio.
4. It doesn’t have a space for a separate track pad to be attached in the same as the keyboard.
In summary, it is a nice option that fits between the type of all in one protection type like Combo Touch and those that only cover the screen. However, in the context of its intend to use design, feels bit redundant option from price context as can be have similar experience and quality for lower cost. For instance, the Combo Touch alike protection and functionality is limited alternatives to replace and have same experience.
The Flip Folio would be for those who like to have separate keyboard and doesn’t require a mouse or trackpad and control via touch on the screen, and willing to tolerate almost double the thickness of iPad as one piece. If not, I find it bit as not necessary.

Logitech’s Flip Folio is a keyboard case for the iPad that offers magnetic attachment, flippable orientation, flexible compatibility, and a detachable Bluetooth keyboard. Does the flip folio live up to Logitech’s Apple accessory standards or is it flipping out?
Upon receipt, you’ll find the unit well wrapped and packaged. Logitech’s packaging is a lot more environmentally friendly than it was a decade ago. The box points out a few use cases, and features the primary use case of this combo on the front of the box: iPad case as a stand and keyboard flexibly detached. Upon opening you’ll find instructions on which way to bend the case on a sticker on the inside of the case, as well as a pull tab for the keyboard.
Yes, the keyboard has a battery saving plastic pullout tab preventing the 4 button cell batteries from prematurely discharging in transit. 4xCR2016 batteries in a tray power this extremely thin keyboard. They’re accessible by taking two paper clips and pushing from tray to outer edge to unlock the tray. Then it slides out. I’m mentioning that, as it’s not overly obvious, and instructions with this guy are sparse. It is mentioned in the FAQ section of Logitech’s website if you need illustrations. The good news is these should last about 2 years of usage according to Logitech’s estimation (based on 2h a day of usage). I do really like a product that allows for easy battery replacement, preventing this keyboard from becoming e-waste.
Speaking of the keyboard; it’s small, thin, and offers excellent key feel for such a thin scissor switch keyboard. The keyboard itself doesn’t flex much during typing, and feels quite accurate despite being just a bit more key travel than the butterfly keyboards of old. I found I could easily hit about 65-70 wpm in my typing which was not the best, but certainly not very impeded from my 75-80.
The keyboard layout is quite nice. Despite being the width of a 13” iPad Pro, I didn’t find any trouble with any of the keys. The layout definitely was well researched, and even harder to find keys were just where my touch typing brain told me they’d be. Up top of the layout are thin function keys. I found these easy enough to find as well. The first button is basically where the escape key would be, and it is the ‘home’ button. The next 3 are devices (of which this keyboard can be paired with 3 devices via Bluetooth) which can be selected and paired using these. You then get brightness, search, expose, emoji, screenshot, play/pause, mute, and volume control respectively. These are all helpful and very functional.
Smartly, the keyboard connects to the case with the keys protected. It also auto shutoffs the keyboard, which is a nice touch. I don’t need my Word document replaced with a bunch of random letters when my iPad is snug in my bag. The keyboard features a rubbery Logitech green pull tab to easily detach the keyboard from the case and… flip it over. Overall the keyboard is well executed.
The case itself is magnetically attached and has a very first party feel to it. This isn’t an Apple case, but it’s as close as you can get (which Logitech does work closely with Apple, and this is seen in their other POGO pin cases). It locks/unlocks the iPad correctly, and holds firmly to the iPad especially when closed. The front side flips over (flip folio - get it?) and has about 120 degrees of adjustment. This means your iPad can be at a fairly comfortable angle, to nearly flat and the flip adjust stand holds the weight of the iPad no problem. It has a shelf at the bottom, so you can detach the iPad from the magnets and orient it in portrait mode if so desired. This shelf is found on the inner spine of the case. The case’s material has a bit of a rubbery feel, but it’s not exactly like what Apple uses. This feels more durable, and while it does pick up grease, it wipes clean without any discoloration.
The case feels sturdy and that it would offer some protection to the iPad in a fall. It doesn’t have edge protection though, so the iPad can and will fall out of the case on an impact. This might throw some people off, who have had some of Logitech’s other keyboard cases that encircle the iPad completely. The sturdy feel comes at a price: weight. Keep in mind an iPad Pro weighs 579g, this case, without the keyboard is 637g, and with the keyboard 847g. This means the case adds 146% of weight to the iPad and you don’t have a trackpad or other mousing device. Compare this with the Magic Keyboard from Apple, which weighs 674g.
Overall for the MSRP, this case offers a fantastic keyboard with a smart design, solid construction, and multiple usage modes. The flexibility of the keyboard to be used with multiple devices is a nice touch, but one that’s a bit off mission. I love that it automatically powers off when connected (and you don’t have to manually switch it off with the power switch), and I love the flexilbity the keyboard can bring to working with/arranging the iPad. The downsides are many though. The biggest is weight, really making the iPad a hefty package and more than many thin and light laptops. The next is realistic protection, which this case offers a fair amount, but not like other Logitech cases. Finally, the detachable nature of the keyboard is a nice thought, but it doesn’t offer much over what people would get with an attached keyboard. I feel like the combo of a $50 keyboard, and $20 case does not justify the MSRP, and makes for a clunky experience. Adding a trackpad here would make this even more impractical, but with the latest iPad beta offering more and more mouse support this device isn’t well timed. I wanted to like the Flip Folio, but despite being well made, it’s not well thought out.

I've been a heavy iPad users for years now and although the iPad is fun to use on its own, it feels way more useful when it has a keyboard with it. The new Logitech Flip Folio Keyboard is an excellent choice and makes your iPad feel more useful in so many ways!
PROS:
- Unboxing this, it's a really nice material with a nice weight to it! As in it feels very light weight but also durable and not cheap in any way. Very nice initial impressions!
- Setup is super easy, just snap your iPad into the case and connect to the keyboard via Bluetooth
- An excellent part of this case is the versatility. You can use the iPad in landscape mode, tilt it up to portrait mode, and while it's on the stand you can change the tilt of the case as well.
- The keyboard itself can magnetically attach to the back of the case or it can pop off and you can use it however you want! Typing on it has been great (using it right now!) as its a nice mix of low profile but has some good feedback when you type on it. The keyboard can also connect to 3 different bluetooth devices too which is nice if you want to mix it up.
- Lastly, it works with your Apple Pencil as well!
CONS:
- The keyboard is missing a few things I would have liked, mainly being a lock key and a trackpad. I understand it's a design choice but they are nice to have.
BOTTOM LINE:
- The Logitech Flip Folio is a fantastic keyboard for people that want versatility for you on the go. It works as a standalone case, full blown laptop style, you can draw on it, use it at different angles, and the battery lasts a long time. This is an excellent companion to your iPad Pro 13 inch and it's going to be a daily driver for many!

The Logitech Flip Folio for iPad Pro is not just a case or a keyboard, it is more than that and best of all it is versatile and easy to use.
First, the packaging is recyclable, so I like that to begin with. Then there are no charging cables or connections to be worried about since the keyboard is powered with small batteries that are included and can last a long time, depending on the use of course. The case has a strong magnet, and it is useful since it can hold the iPad horizontally or vertically. The keyboard is Bluetooth connected so I can place it close or apart from the iPad.
And speaking of the keyboard, I really like that I can connect the keyboard with three devices including my iPhone. The soft keys are comfortable to type on and they are also quiet, and it is stored away easily with the iPad.
The case has an adjustable kickstand to keep it in different angles and when it’s closed it does a great job protecting our iPad.
At first the kickstand is a bit hard to flip, then since it stretches into shape then it works better and easier.
I also like that the keyboard has an on off switch, that way the battery is not drained while not connected.
Overall, I like the look and feel of the keyboard, the way we can use our iPad, standing on the case vertically or horizontally and when we am not using it, it protects it well, we can take pictures or videos without taking the iPad off the case.

A novel case and keyboard combo for iPad

The Logitech Flip Folio is an entirely new iPad case & keyboard design. For the first time, the keyboard is not part of the case, instead it attaches magnetically to the case and can be stowed away when not in use. This offers the benefits of saving space when using the iPad in a tight space such as when on an airline, where you may just want to watch a movie and not need a keyboard. Although the case supports both landscape and portrait orientations, I found the portrait orientation did not have a tight fit since the magnets don’t align perfectly like they do in the landscape orientation.
The Flip Folio keyboard connects to up to three Bluetooth devices which is very convenient and can give keyboard functionality to your iPhone also. However, the keyboard lacks backlighting and a number pad—meaning it’s best for users prioritizing portability over a true laptop-style setup. The one minor complaint I had was the part of the case that folds to create the stand is very stiff and requires a little bit of effort to fold. Also, it remains to be seen over long-term use how well the magnetic connection holds up that connects the keyboard to the case.
The Flip Folio is a solid choice for people on the move who prioritize portability over functionality. While it won’t replace Logitech’s Combo Touch keyboard with trackpad, it’s an excellent solution for those who value minimalism and multi-device workflows.

Keyboard cases are pretty much a "must-have" if you have the larger iPad. Yes it's great for content viewing but with the additional screen size, it'd be almost criminal not to utilize the iPad for work purposes as well.
The Apple Keyboard is nice however it's quite pricey and somewhat limiting in its uses. Several other manufacturers have come out with their own keyboard cases but Logitech seemed to pull ahead in this race with their Combo Touch case. I'm a huge fan of that case and think it's still the best keyboard case option out there, however, with their latest product, the Flip Folio, it adds a different twist to the "standard" key board case.
Firstly, the Flip Folio has a stand alone keyboard which is not directly attached to the case. You have the iPad in the stand case where you can put it into the best viewing position for you and then the keyboard (connects via Bluetooth) can be used anywhere. This enables you a little more freedom in terms of how/where you use your iPad now as you're no longer "required" to be physically connected to it. You can mount the iPad higher up on your workstation and have your keyboard lower or however you wish to setup your iPad.
The keyboard is super lightweight and connects (magnetically) to the case when not in use. You have to put the keys face down on the case to attach. The keyboard has several hot keys that enable you to use the iPad (almost) touch free.
However, with this keyboard style, there are some setbacks. The biggest pro for me with the Combo Touch case was there was a touchpad. You could use that keyboard setup without ever needing to touch the iPad screen. This Flip Folio doesn't have a touchpad. You still need to touch the screen to launch apps or what not. For some, this might be an issue as it was with me. Others, depending on your work, may not feel this is a con. You can bypass this by using a Bluetooth mouse but I feel that just adds extra weight/clutter to this setup.
I think this case depends on your use case for it. For me, the Combo Touch is still the king. It works both for leisure and productivity uses. The Flip Folio, I think, would be better suited to someone who's more data entry oriented or keyboard heavy user like a writer or coder. In that sense, this case makes a better use case for them since they're mostly heads down writing code or maybe editing a document.
That said, I think this is great new product that's sure to be a hit. Again, my preference is for the Combo Touch case but this one also is a solid choice for a keyboard case.

I’ve been using this over the last few days and while it’s a great idea I do think they would have been better doing something a little different
The unboxing experience is pleasant. It really does feel like you’re opening a premium product. In the box you will find the folio case and the keyboard and a couple of small leaflets
Installing the folio on to the iPad is as easy as any other case. It fits really well as expected with a Logitech product. All the cutouts are perfect and the quality of the case is excellent. It is a really well made case. I’m once installed you flip the front cover to the back and you can bend the cover to create the stand. At first it feels like it’s solid and you’re not supposed to do this but it’s ok, go ahead, it’s stiff so it’s sturdy. It works pretty well but only on a desk, I’ve found using on the lap isn’t really ideal.
The keyboard is nice and easy to pair. It has a decent typing experience and everything is laid out well for such a small design.
My complaints:
I really wish they would make the folio front a magnetic attachment and have the rear Shelby e its own built in kickstand like a Surface device. Im not sure why most case makers don’t do this as I feel it would greatly benefit the use.
The keyboard while having amazing battery life, up to 2 years supposedly, you cannot recharge it, it has no usb charge ports at all so when it dies you will need to be sure to have the correct coin style battery ready to replace the one in the keyboard. I really don’t get why they would do this.
It would have been nice if the keyboard could have also magnetically attached to the back of the case making it one unit when carrying around.
Overall it’s a decent case, not the best and not the worst. If you like this style then I’m sure you’ll be happy with this, but I do feel many other will feel like they needed more options
