Ratings are good for this product but the box did not say it was for my new Air Ioad so I was concerned about that too

The keyboard is simple to understand, pretty similar to a standard laptop keyboard in size. I love the smart connector feature so I don’t have to use Bluetooth, but the only downside is that the iPad charges the case as it’s being used, so the iPad itself drains battery pretty fast.

It’s much too heavy to call it convenient and the stand that’s attached for holding upright position for typing makes it difficult to use unless you’re at a desk or table. I prefer using a detached Apple keypad and track pad. Nice attempt but misses the mark.

good case - super heavy

All the keys work, Touch pad works well. Seems like it would offer good protection. Only one complaint - it is SUPER heavy. Together the iPad and keyboard case together is so heavy it makes me not want to use it anywhere but on a desk.
