The Logitech product totally surrounds the iPad with MIL-STD level of drop protection, though at a cost. The Logitech keyboard is far heavier than Apple and it isn't close. In fact it's shocking how heavy the case / keyboard is before the iPad is installed. All that said the keyboard / mouse pad is very usable. Backlighting is welcome and works well to make the keyboard readable in low light conditions. This has become my goto travel "laptop" when I don't want to drag along a MacBookPro for a day or overnight trip.

Replacement keys are $15 a piece!!! For a $140 keyboard I expected it to last quite a bit longer than a year. I recommend you buy geek squad for this item.

I finally hacked the case and cut some out. Works for me but should never have been sold as for the new bersions of the ipad

Track pad works well first then it slows down. Keys are good quality. The case is hard and offers protection but it doesn’t work with new iPad Air 8th gen because it is not compatible with print ID.
