I Bought this headset for gaming without looking at reviews, since I 've used Logitech headsets for a while now and thought I could trust their quality. I get the package fine and open it with no problems. After setting everything up fine and connecting everything correctly, the mic, does. not. work. I've seen and done every solution there is to find about it online, from switching the ports and plugging things into incorrect places and swapping them back after a while, to reinstalling G HUB, checking every audio driver, microphone privacy, anything you can find about fixing this mic has not worked. Amazingly the plugging of cables and the mic into different spots has worked for a great number of people online, but sadly, not for my case. After seeing all these people having these problems, I find it ridiculous for how long Logitech has gone without fixing this glaring issue, and how high the reviews are for this product.
Final note, believe me when I say Logitech's "technical support hotline" is as useful as something in a flaming paper bag. Logitech, as a company, does not care.

Hello PaulCocke, I am sorry that you are having difficulties using your PROX Headset. Try using the Aux cable with the four stripes connected to the headset, then connect the end with the three stripes to the AUX to USB A adapter, and make sure that the adapter is connected to a USB A 3.1. Once you connect the AUX cable correctly, the volume controller should be closer to the headset than the PC. Also, use BLUE Vo!CE to access the advanced surround settings. Using with my Xbox and it works great. Was using an old pair of turtle beach so anything was an upgrade lol. Wire is super long which would be nice for a computer I’d imagine.

It took few trials to figure out the use of the correct cords. The cords are specific to specific device. I had to download the user manual for directions. Once I figured out, the headphone is very good. Good clarity, good sound, good feel. I always liked Logitech products.
