As my old pair of logitech headsets were wearing down (after 5 years), i needed to go to Best Buy and get a new headset. Though it is not the cheapest headset, its quality seems a little downgraded from my old headset (in terms of build). Preformance is qhat one would expect from a non 150$+ headset. It gets the job done. One thing i would like to point out is that this does work on both PC and console, but i dont see how one can use this headset on PC without the Dolby surround sound peice that came with my older headset. All in all, a good buy for someone thats looking for a "cheaper" ($70) headset in a pinch.

I purchased this product for Christmas for my son so I haven't tested it out yet. I will update my review when I do. I got it on sale so the price was great and the other reviews were mostly positive.

Purchased Turtle beach i60 Headset and it wasn't loud enough. So I looked at some reviews that seem to favor the G231s and I liked them better.

I have two teenage boys that have had no issues with this product. If teenagers like it, it must be good.

I've got nothing but great things to say about this headset. There weren't other reviews for me to go off of before purchasing them myself, but for anyone looking for a great priced mid-range headset for gaming I would highly recommend this set up.
Pros:
Plug and Play (obviously) - Just plug it in and you're automatically ready to go, there aren't any gadget or gizmos you have to fuss with
Adjustable boom mic - My buddy and I pay COD MW3 together and when I started using this headset to chat with n00bs he ranted and raved about how clear I sounded while we pwned kids
Toggle Mute/Unmute - This is awesome, If you need to cough or 1 - 2 and you don't want to encroach on other's ears you have a easy way to mute yourself to be courteous, or if you need to yell to mom to bring meatloaf while you're knee deep in a trench in battlefield 1 you can easily just mute out.
Inline Volume Adjustment! - This is AMAZING, it's simple... roll your finger up and down on a wheel to increase the volume to your desired level
Not much ear fatigue - These are OVER ear and adjustable as well as pretty comfortable. I've had over ear headphones that put a lot of pressure around the ear causing a headache, but these aren't like that from roughly 8 hours of gameplay so far with them.
Cons:
Audio Level - While the audio is adjustable in line and honestly loud enough at full capacity... it could still be a bit louder. It's more than likely a legal audio requirement and for your own safety, but it does leave a little room for more LOUDness.
Audio Range - These have great mid-high range but tend to omit the low end bass that you'd expect for an immersive experience in FPSs or anything with explosions and booms. They remind me a lot of what Bose products tend to do with headphones. They aren't totally dry in terms of bass or low end, but they do leave a little wiggle room for more low end.
Quality is not an issue, these feel very well constructed.
I have already recommended this set to a friend and would highly recommend them for anyone not looking to spend a fortune on a set of headphones for PC, Xbox, or PS. Overall I'd give them a low to mid 4 out of 5.
