Hello Joemama! Sorry to hear you're having issues with your G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel and Floor Pedals. I would suggest trying to uninstall and reinstall the G Hub software, make sure all cables and connectors are plugged in correctly to your wheel and back to the PC, and then once you've reinstalled G Hub, click the Gear icon at the top right,, and then once inside the Settings, check for any available updates. If your wheel isn't detected at that point, maybe try a different USB port on your computer as well, Hopefully that'll fix your issue! - Mathieu from Logitech

    Good successor to the G27

TL/DR - If you have a PS4+PC and have been thinking of delving into the sim racing world with a wheel and nice pedals, buy the G29 for under $300 - when you see it for $213, jump on it. You cannot go wrong, and Logitech's G-series wheels are a proven design that last for many years. For those who want to read with a cup of coffee.... So much has been said here already that I will only add my opinion of the G29 and use solely on the PS4. First, I have owned a G27 with modified brake pedal since 2010 for both the PC and PS3's Gran Tourismo 5 release. Second, when the PS4 came out, I had to buy another wheel and Logitech didn't have the G29 yet. So I bought the Thrustmaster T300 and an after market adapter so my G27 pedals would work with it. Now to compare this to both the former G27 and T300 (I also own a T150 as a backup wheel). Logitech seems to have tamed down the gear grind and jerkiness that was predominant in the G27. [Side note: many G27 owners reported failures in the wheel not holding center over time, and it happened to me. But it was a simple failure: one of the motor mounts would shake loose and disconnect. A quick application of thread lock and screwing the motor back to the mount and it was as good as new.] The G29's PS4 button layout makes up for a lot of the loss of button assignments of the optional side gear shifter that the G27's shifter had - which by the way will still work with the G29 for shifting but you cannot map its buttons with the PS4 or PC. The connections are all still the same into the G29 with the G27 pedals and shifter. Now for comparison of the T300, it's still a superior wheel being pure belt driven. Butter smooth and less knee-jerk reactionary in feedback - like a real car feel. It also has a larger rim which is less toy like and you can swap out wheel rims with an F1 wheel for example. However, the T300 has a high failure rate over time (a friend's just tanked last weekend after two years of moderately high use). It also comes with useless pedals so you have to spend another $150 for a decent set of pedals for them equal to what Logitech offers. Also the T300 is not PS4 specific regarding command buttons and the PS4 controller layout feel of buttons. Finally, I am not a fan of the motor cooling fans on the T300 which the T150 also has. It's just another component that can fail. If the G25-27-29 don't need them with two massive brushed motors, why does the T300/150 need cooling fans which can run long after the PC or PS4 is shut down (with power still connected)? I bought this G29 when the price dropped to $213 solely as a PS4 wheel to swap between my PC games which I use with the T300. I have not taken the pedals out and checked them because I am so used to my modified G27 pedals that work on both wheels. I'll take other reviewer's words that Logitech screwed up the brake pedal. However, so far, after testing on Assetto Corsa, Project Cars 2, F1 2016, DiRT 4, and DiRT Rally 2.0, I am highly impressed and didn't realize how much I missed the wheel shift lights. It is nowhere near as jerky as the G27 and closer to the smoothness (and quietness) of the T300. Also, the dead zone many have complained about can be tamed with enough in-game settings. I got it minimized with settings in PCars 2, and Assetto Corsa. I never experienced it in F1, DiRT 4, or DiRT Rally 2.0 - all of which are made by Codemaster so there's that to consider. This wheel is not worth the original $350-$400 but under $300, where the original G27 sat, this is a true best buy (keep in mind however the G27 came with the side shifter which now costs $60 extra). If you've never bought a wheel and pedal set before, then chances are you wouldn't be bothered with the brake pedal that long term G27 users are complaining about. Caveats to the PS4 use: unlike the T300/T150, you cannot change the wheel rotation on its own with the PS4. It's hit or miss on success changing it with game settings. On the PC of course you can do it in Logitech's game profiler software - but that does not carry over to the PS4 in setting. In DiRT Rally 2.0 for example, you turn go into wheel settings, turn on Soft Lock, and then drop Saturation from 100%. So if you cut saturation to 60% with soft lock on, wheel rotation in that game drops to 540 (900 x .60) which is perfect for rally and GT series racing. You can work the math accordingly to tailor your own preference for wheel rotation in that game.
