If you're not a fan of over the ear headphones, then these will do the trick just fine. I ended up exchanging them for the pros.

However, we didn’t end up needing these but decided to try them out anyways and I have to tell you, it makes for an entirely new experience. Don’t forget to buy these for your Oculus!

Being able to use headphones to keep everyone else in the house from hearing the game during play, while hopefully being able to receive quality sound during play was my expectation. Unfortunately while being able to quietly play was accomplished, the sound quality was just not up to par. You lose the surround sound with sound directionality detection which is essential for a lot of games, especially the horror genre, and losing that really degrades the game play experience.
