Great wired 7.1 headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great wired 7.1 headset. The fit/comfort is great if your used to circumaural headsets, and the mic and sound quality is excellent. The reason I took a star off is that in providing all those channels of sound, the volume of the headset takes a hit. So if you plug in the 3.5mm jack into your front panel, volume is 100% of what it would be on any other headset. However, when you plug in through the provided USB to get 7.1, volume is reduced to 60-70% of the baseline. Not a big deal, there's always headroom to go up, but this is noticeable. Secondly, a few of the channels are difficult to discern from one another. Especially the surround and rear channels. Listening closely, one can discern them, but only just. In gaming, it's still pretty close to a 5.1 set. I didn't take any stars off for this, as I think the problem resides more with my system than the headset, but soon after installing I've noticed audio clicks and snags in video playback that accompany pauses in sound output. It's infrequent, but very annoying when it happens. It occurs with my regular 5.1 speaker set up as well, otherwise I'd rest more of the blame with this headset.

Feels Great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is so light I can't even feel it on my head. I don't get any interference from other sounds in the room and the quality of the sound is great.

Decent to good headphones, for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased these as a back up for my G930's. The sound is decent to good depending on how the EQ within the Logitech Gaming Software is tweaked and what your expectations are. Mic seems to work well in the few times I've used it also. Compared to the G930's though, these headphones are not nearly as clear and do pick up quite a bit of crackling interference when used with the USB dongle. At the price point I picked them up for though, definitely not a bad option for a backup.

Great sound, but mic drops a bit from time to time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound on these relatively inexpensive headphones are great! The only problem I have run into is with the microphone dropping out from time to time... going soft and then loud. May be that the default drivers are horrible. I have tried it on one with the software installed and one with the default Windows 8 drivers on a Surface. The Surface without the software had the dropping in and out. Other than that, great replacement for my Turtle Beach headphones I had for years.

Purchased as a gift
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Grabbed these as a gift for my brother-in-law. I have another version of the same headset with a couple more features. We both love them. They are very comfortable, even after long hours of wear. My only complaint was that the cord still likes to twist up after I've had them well over a year. But, most cords do that anyway. Would still recommend.

For an inexpensive headset it sounds great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Great Dane decided to make a chew toy out of my last headset (An older 7.1 Logitech 7.1 Headset) which I didn't mind because it was uncomfortable and heavy. Read the reviews and didn't want to spend much and these fit the bill. For a little more than $40 the sound is great. Mic isn't the greatest but works for my gaming needs. Has good bass and hi and low response. I'm not an audiophile, just know what I like while I am gaming, and these are worth the price if you don't want to spend a lot. Uses the same game control software that the Logitech mice and other peripherals use, which is convenient. IMHO, the 7.1 surround feature is just a gimmick. Not real 7.1 but again, works well enough. Biggest complaint is the mic. Sound quality could be better but again for price, not expecting miracles. Comes with USB interface or you can plug directly into mic/headphone port on the pc with the mini plugs.

Great for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a pair of headphones for gaming, but don't play often. I picked them for the price and 7.1 speakers. OK, I'm not demanding, but for a starter pair of headphones, they are comfortable and have good sound (probably, thanks to the Dolby processing on my Omen PC...) and I am very happy with them.

Overall a great headset for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At the time of purchase this headset was 39.99$ previously owned headsets were 3 Razer kraken black/green (50-60$ max) per headset one of the headsets I RMA'd after getting tired of replacing razer headsets I decided to try logitech since this headset from bestbuy offers an extended 1 year warranty for 4.99$ at any time i can take the headset to my local bestbuy and replace it for up 2 years after the purchase date. The headset itself is more comfortable than my previous razer headsets and the microphone is also better. the overall experience is well worth it and as long as you're paying less than 50$ for this headset i would say its worth it 100% Pros:price for quality/comfort is unbeatable at this price point if you're wanting to spend less than 50$ on a headset i'd either go with this or maybe the hyper cloud (which i've never owned but i've heard great things about) Cons: I can't really think of any I could say the sound could be better but the sound is beyond my expectations for this price point if you're wanting better sound quality I would invest in a sennheiser headphones and get like a blue yeti microphone

Great, Inexpensive Headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned these G430 type headphones for many years. Sound quality is excellent and the mic works well. They have USB and stand jack options. They are very comfortable. The are not the highest of quality plastic and I have replaced this model a few times over the last 5 years (I can be hard on my headphones).

Good headphones but slightly uncomfortable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these head phones specifically to use at work. I take a lot of phone calls during the day but i also wanted good quality for listening to music while at my desk. They sound really good but my only complaint is that they are not very comfortable. If you are used to high end headphones i would not recommend them but if you are not used to high quality ear pieces then these are great started head phones.
