Customers find value in the G502 X PLUS LIGHTSPEED's exceptional battery life, lightweight design, and responsive performance. Many appreciate the comfortable ergonomics, customizable RGB lighting, and the ease of use with its software. While some find the price point high, the positive feedback on features like the responsive buttons and precise scroll wheel outweighs this concern for most users. The wireless functionality is also frequently praised.

Just unboxed the Logitech G502 x plus Lightspeed wireless gaming mouse. It comes with the mouse, wireless dongle/receiver, USB/A to USB/C charging cable, user’s guide, and a USB/A female to USB/C female coupler/adapter. Oh, and a sticker and a ‘cool’ shift button cover.
First off, this thing fits my hand beautifully. I always seem to press the thumb button, and this has a replaceable magnetic cover that eliminates that button. It works great for me. When I first connected it wirelessly to my PC, I was a bit bummed by the scroll wheel. It’s called Hyperfast scroll and is smooth and zoomed down a webpage. I prefer a slower drop and a click. Well, this mouse has a button on top that does just that. You can choose between the two actions and use what works best based on the task at hand. Nice!
If you’re like me, you probably already have the G Hub installed, if not surf over to the manufacturer’s website and download the app. Through the app, you have 5 onboard memory slots, different wave effects, battery level indicator and battery life. At max charge, the app states approximately 39 hours. The app also keeps the mouse up to date with firmware revisions. Currently, mine is on breathing effect w/ an ocean wave. I’ll post a pic or two.
The Lightspeed wireless and Hero 25k sensors make this mouse track beautifully. For an old dude like me, I have the active DPI Speed at 1600. You have the option to set it at 800, 1200, 1600, 2400, and 3200. There is a DPI Shift button that will allow temporary alterations or/and it can be used to shift assignments to one or all the keys on the mouse as long as you hold the button down.
So overall, this mouse is very comfortable for me to use. I have average to large hands, and I have zero issues with the size. I love the left thumb delete cap and I can always replace it with the button if I choose to make it operable again. The box states there are 13 programmable controls. I’m not sure exactly how, but if it states it, I’m sure it’s possible. This mouse is probably a bit more than I need for the type of games I play, but like I stated, I’m very happy with it and how well it scrolls across dual screens. I’d have no problem recommending this to anyone looking for a great wireless gaming mouse.

Nice mouse for gaming, would give it 5 stars if it came with the weights... like the old g502 did.
I would recommend this to a friend

----- SUMMARY -----
Verdict:
There’s a lot to like about the Logitech G502 X Plus. It’s fast, highly customizable, and offers satisfying clicks. You’ll also be happy with the long battery life and comfortable design. The G502 X Plus is an excellent gaming mouse for those who want several customizable buttons and speedy performance that won’t let you down in fast-paced games.
Pros:
- Appealing and comfortable design
- Highly customizable
- Crisp and tactile switches
- Fast response rate
- Long battery life
Cons:
- No Bluetooth connectivity
----- DETAILS -----
Design & Features:
With its curved profile and supportive thumb rest, the Logitech G502 X Plus gaming mouse has an ergonomic shape. There are also a few nice touches like a rubberized, textured grip on the sides and a small indentation in the left click button. It has felt comfortable to use while playing a variety of games or working from home.
The front has a USB-C input for charging, but the mouse is also compatible with Logitech’s PowerPlay Wireless Charging System (sold separately). Since I don’t currently have that, I can’t speak to how well PowerPlay works with the G502 X Plus, but it’s nice knowing that feature is available. Battery life is solid, with up to 120 hours when RGB lighting is off or 37 hours when you have the RGB set to always on.
A unique design aspect of the “Plus” version of the G502 X is the 8-zone LED lighting area on the palm rest. With that, you also get active play detection which will automatically turn the lighting off when your hand covers it (to conserve battery power). The lighting settings and more can be customized in the Logitech G Hub software. More on that later.
All the clicks and button presses feel nice on the G502 X Plus, thanks to Logitech’s new hybrid optical-mechanical switches, which are crisp and tactile. It was a noticeable and satisfying change from my previous mouse.
The left side has a removable sniper button that can easily be swapped out with a non-clickable rubberized button (included in the box). The sniper button is also reversible, so it can flair towards your thumb or away from it, depending on your preference or hand size.
As for the scroll wheel, you have the choice between hyperfast scrolling or a more precise, “ratcheted” mode. The scroll wheel also allows you to scroll left and right by pushing your finger on the left or right side to tilt it in either direction.
On the bottom, you’ll find PTFE feet, which help the mouse glide smoothly across various surfaces. I’m using a leather-like pad on my desk, but I tried the G502 X Plus on a mouse pad and a few other flat surfaces and barely felt any friction.
The ergonomic design of the G502 X Plus coupled with its light weight makes this the most comfortable mouse I’ve ever used. It’s also sleek and eye-catching, especially with the RGB lighting on. If you’d rather not have the RGB, the non-plus version of this mouse has all the same features without the lighting, and it’s a bit cheaper.
Performance:
The G502 X Plus handles each game exceptionally well. For testing, I picked several games across different genres, like Red Dead Redemption 2, Age of Empires IV, The Witcher 3, and Call of Duty: Warzone. The accuracy and responsiveness are fantastic. Having the extra buttons comes in handy, especially since you can customize them to a specific game. The buttons are well-positioned so that they can be easily pressed when needed, but I appreciate that they’re also unobtrusive. The USB-A “Lightspeed” wireless receiver has proven to be reliable, as I’ve not experienced any connection drops or mouse lag. I have zero complaints about the performance of this mouse. I just wish it came with Bluetooth connectivity as well because that makes it a little easier to switch between my desktop and laptop, but that’s not a dealbreaker for me.
Software:
Logitech G Hub is the home for adjusting the RGB lighting, reprogramming buttons, creating profiles for games and apps, customizing the DPI levels (mouse sensitivity), and monitoring the battery. When I installed Logitech G Hub, it instantly recognized my G502 X Plus mouse and has been working seamlessly with it since. It’s an easy-to-use software with only a few screens to toggle through, but it offers a lot of customization.

I’ve been married to the legendary G502 mouse line since 2016: starting with the Proteus Spectrum, graduating to my first Hero in 2018, cord-cutting with the game-changing Lifespeed wireless model in 2019, and now with the newest iteration of goodness…the G502 X Plus.
There is always an initial worry when anyone says ‘new and improved’, my fear immediately goes to changes to the form factor. To me, no computer accessory is as intimate to my gaming comfort as my mouse, you take forever to find the one that is perfect fit for you, and once you do you hope it never dies because everything inevitably changes. Logitech has done a superb job of staying true to the classic look and feel that made the G502 model the legend that it is, I was not at all sure how they were going to continue that trend.
Why? Because I can see the slightly different ergonomics of the two side buttons, the mouse wheel and the DPI switch. I can tell the thumb rest is elongated, I can feel the new texture on left and right side grips and the confident clicks of the new switches…all subtle changes against the backdrop of the new Lightsync RGB 8-zone lighting area crowning the palm rest. Even with all the easily distinguishable changes to the build, it still rests easy under my grip in that same familiar position, fitting like a glove (or maybe vice versa…). It still feels like home, yet the differences seek attention. Here is what you notice.
Still the same old greatness:
Buttons: you get more buttons than a non-MMO mouse has a right to have, up from 11 programmable buttons on the old to 13 on the new. Map away to your hearts content
Scroll Wheel: same hyper fast scroll potential, it’s a one-button switch between comfortable clicks and free spinning action, swap out to whatever your pleasure is. Wheel remains tiltable left and right
Hero 25K sensor – still crushing worlds with sub-micron tracking, zero compromises given when your sensor is among the best out there.
Lightspeed wireless – my original experience with first-gen Lightspeed was that it essentially felt like zero-lag- I literally tested it side by side with my Hero wired mouse and felt no compromise in cutting the cord. The new mouse boasts a 68% improvement over the existing Lightspeed, but I’m not sure how you can improve 68% over basically lagless play. Its basically corded, without a cord.
Fits seamlessly into the existing Logitech infrastructure – G-Hub software picked up the new mouse right away and assigned a new device profile for immediate customization. I swapped the Powerplay disc from the old mouse into the new and it took to charging immediately off of my Logitech Powerplay base, and which also has a built in Lightspeed wireless receiver the mouse paired to. As with the old model, there is a port at the nose of the mouse (USBC) for charging if you haven’t figured out how to make the Powerplay charging mat a part of your life yet. Do it, it is so worth it to never plug it in. Ever.
Raising the bar:
Lightforce Hybrid Switches – new optical-mechanical switch technology, while I didn’t consider it a detracting feature on the 2019 version, you can definitely feel a firm difference in the click. Coupling optical speed and mechanical feel rewards you with incredible speed and reliability. Outstanding upgrade.
Friction Free gliding - New coating on the bottom of the mouse, looks like white stickers but is a PTFE layer on the feet to reduce friction between the mouse and the pad/surface. Definitely noticeable between last-gen and this model, it glides on the Powerplay mat hard surface.
Customizable sniper button – okay, small upgrade, but I like it, the ‘sniper’ button on the left side is on a magnet, and can either be flipped for a better feel, or replaced with an included blank (my choice) to remove it. Nice touch, this button was a bit annoying on the old one as it was built for weird long-thumb people, and not me.
Lightsync RGB – the plus model has an 8-zone RGB break on the palm rest, looks awesome alone but in tandem with my Powerplay mat and G915 TKL
Lightspeed keyboard, customize your setup eight ways to Sunday. Mine all run in simple cycle, but they look great in unison.
Unit weight – I’m torn on this, it isn’t a plus for me but I understand that the trend is towards ultra-light. This unit reduced it’s weight from (I think) 114g in the last-gen wireless unit to 106g on this comparable unit- a feat considering the new LEDs are an added weight- but I do like my mice a little on the ‘more substantial’ side (no weight-shaming here), and I do miss the customization offered with the weight kit in the last model. Making mice intentionally heavier isn’t a thing anymore, and I may be alone on and island with that. What can I say, to each their own.
All in, the new G502X Plus weaves great new function into a time-tested familiar form. It somehow reinvented itself without changing what makes it a legend, and added some really great value while cutting weight (and not corners). It comes at a premium price, but it is a premium product with much more to offer if you enhance it with the Powerplay upgrades (do it, really). I said it when I reviewed the 2019 version and it still holds true– this mouse was never a question of if, it was always a question of when.

My old G604 has taken a beating over the last couple years, and it was time to look for a new mouse, while it still works perfectly it’s showing it’s age and has held up to many hours of gaming. When I saw Logitech “reinvented” the G502 with the “X Plus” model I had to give it a try.
Unboxing and first impressions:
The mouse came in a nice “typical” Logitech logoed box, and inside is the mouse, charging / wired cord, wireless receiver, a blanking button for the shift button, manual, and the usual “L” sticker.
The body itself is pretty closely shaped to the G604 but more angular, the two main mouse buttons are longer and narrower then the 604s and the two buttons next to the left mouse button are much longer and easier to reach. There are two side buttons which you can program, and a new, side button in front of them that has a little lip that extends back so it’s easy to reach. This button is a preprogrammed as a DPI shift and when pressed it cuts the DPI way down for precise control.
The top of the mouse also has a new RGB light strip and looks pretty cool and is programmable through the G Hub software, “all keys are very easily programmed through the software.”
Using:
The 502X feels great in hand, it’s extremely light, if you like a light mouse for gaming, you’ll love this one. I happen to like a little more heft to my mice and luckily if you happen to have an older mouse that has the “G” 10gram coin you can swap that into the base without a problem and this made it feel just right.
The new “Hero” sensor is super sensitive, and you can “if you wanted” adjust it up to 25600, “I tried this once and wow that’s way too fast and sensitive” but you have full control of what you want to set the DPI at just like their past gaming mice. The new lighspeed hybrid switches and seem to be extremely responsive with just the right amount of force needed to activate, “will see how these hold off the static buildup and doubleclicking issues I’ve had in the past with their other mice”.
Speed and accuracy while gaming is as good as it gets, and that new shift key really helps a lot when you are using a sniper rifle and want to halve your DPI for precise shooting, “it really helped in Borderlands 3” The scroll wheel has the button for that located behind wheel so you can set the wheel to free spin and behind that is another button that you can cycle through stored onboard profiles saved on the mouse itself. I also like the feel of the white PTFE feet, they are larger than the ones on my other mice and are very smooth sliding on my neoprene mouse pad.
Conclusion:
If you want a great mouse and do a ton of gaming, “like I do” then you’ll probably love the new 502X Plus. The battery life is outstanding, and their claim of 40hrs is pretty much on. It does have a USB C connector for charging and is compatible with the Powerplay wireless charger “I’ll be grabbing one of those”. So if you are in need a new mouse or just want an extremely good gaming mouse then put the G502X Plus on top of your shopping list.

I'm a fan of Logitech mice and an overall fan of Logitech in general. This mouse comes with a crazy high price tag and at first glance offers a lot of bells and whistles in return. After using it for gaming for a week, I'm not sure if how I use the mouse is worthy of that price tag.
I've really never met a Logitech mouse I didn't like and if you take the price out of the equation then that still holds true for the G502 X Plus. What do you get with this mouse that you don't get with other gaming mice? For starters, the overall look is really cool. Rich satin black body with gloss black trim. Very sharp. The lighting affect is really nice and you're able to customize the colors any way you like. You can literally choose from any color you want and what's more, you can save different setups to use whenever you want to. You can also save the setups for select games you play. I was able to save a setup for DOOM Eternal, and I can customize the button assignments for the game and the color I want to use. What's more, you can actually save the setup to the mouse itself so the settings you save will be there if you take your mouse with you. Ok, so that's pretty cool.
The super slick inserts on the bottom side work really well and the mouse does slide amazingly well. There's an on/off button as well on the bottom. As far as the buttons are concerned, you have the standard left, right and mouse wheel (also a button). On the left top side there are also two additional buttons along side the left mouse button. These are assignable, but their default is to raise and lower the DPI mouse movement amount. The mouse wheel has a button behind it that lets you switch from a ratcheting to free spinning wheel. Behind that is an additional button that allows you to cycle through your saved color scheme/button assignments. But wait, there's more. There are also the two side buttons for your thumb and a DPI Shift button in front of your thumb. I found the top left buttons useful for gaming, but try as I might, I just couldn't find a use for switching my movement DPI let alone using the shift button to temporarily change my DPI. While playing, I found the shift button to be extremely annoying, and I was inadvertently hitting it all the time until I used the extra button included in the package. The alternate button really just amounts to a cover for the button, if you don't want to use it. Thankfully, this was included. Now I have more thumb space. But even with that being said, I was constantly hitting the side two mouse buttons when I didn't mean to. I think this is because they're just big. It would have been better if they were half the size so you could find them when you needed them but otherwise, you didn't have to change your grip to avoid hitting them. While I like the mouse wheel rubber texture, the wheel itself is still plastic which doesn't allow for a great spin in free wheel mode. It would have been much better if it was a metal wheel with a little weight to it. I have other Logitech mice that have metal wheels and they work so much better than the plastic ones. They also give the mouse a more high end look which is something a mouse in this price range should have.
The charge lasts quite a while, I've only needed to charge it up once since I got it. I does come with an awesome charging cable. USB-C to USB-A. It's a very flexible rubber material and it's six feet long. They also include a USB-A to USB-C adapter if you need it along with a G logo sticker and some quick start guides. The app has to be downloaded from the Logitech site however you're on your own to find it. There are also nothing in the way of instructions on how to use the app. It took me some time to get used to the way it worked and how to save my setups. Instructions would have been nice. All in all, it's a smooth mouse with plenty of customization options. If you have small hands I think you might like this mouse better than a person who has larger hands.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
The Logitech G502 X PLUS LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse sets the new standard for wireless gaming. This powerhouse fits beautifully in my large hand. The feel is one of extreme quality & great comfort.
Featuring an industry-leading 25,600 DPI, absolutely no delayed response is detectable. There is no click latency. You will feel the equivalent response of a wired top-of-the-line gaming mouse, with the phenomenal convenience of wireless.
The G502X PLUS features a number of programmable buttons. These are accessible by the Logitech G Hub.
My "Go To" Gaming Mouse is the highly regarded Logitech G502, until today. My new favorite, the new G502X PLUS, tops the G502's performance in several ways, with a price increase of only $10.
IMPROVEMENTS OVER THE G502:
1- Lighter weight.
2- 68% faster time elapsed between the dispatch & the completion time.
3- Improved hybrid optical mouse switches that produce faster speed & longer life
4- Longer Battery Life
5- Improved RGB LED display (configurable)
OPTIONAL BENEFIT:
Simply add the optional Logitech POWERPLAY Charging Coin (snaps in the bottom) to tie in with the optional POWERPLAY always-charging mouse pad to maintain the internal rechargeable battery effortlessly.
CONCLUSION:
A Wireless Gaming Mouse simply does not get any better than the G502 PLUS. It earns my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.

The features advertised do not work. The audio visualizer is currently not working on it. I’ve tried reinstalling the software and tried all of the troubleshooting from the Logitech website. Also, the clicks feel plasticky and cheap. The battery doesn’t last as long as other mice I’ve had. I have to charge it everyday so far and I know that batteries degrade over time. Also, the ghub software is clunky to work with and it must be installed to use all of the features.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I recently bought the Logitech G502, and it’s been an amazing addition to my setup. The build quality is fantastic, with a comfortable and ergonomic design that fits perfectly in my hand. It feels solid and durable, ideal for long gaming sessions.
The performance is impressive. The high-precision sensor ensures smooth and accurate tracking, which has significantly improved my gameplay. The adjustable weights allow me to customize the feel of the mouse to my preference, which is a great feature.
Customizing the buttons and settings using Logitech’s G HUB software was straightforward. I love the customizable RGB lighting, which syncs beautifully with my other Logitech gear. The multiple programmable buttons are a huge plus, making it easy to execute complex commands quickly.
Overall, the Logitech G502 is an exceptional gaming mouse that combines comfort, performance, and customization. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier gaming mouse!

Fantastic gaming mouse--wireless OR wired!

Logitech has always made very cool gaming products. The G502 wireless gaming mouse is no exception, I'm happy to say!
Like most products these days, there is very little literature in the box--'instructions' that are basically pictures, a QR code and the web address.
In the box are the mouse, dongle and a good, long braided wire for charging or using the mouse wired. While it's basically 'plug and play', I HIGHLY recommend downloading the Logitech Hub from their website. Having that on your gaming computer enables this mouse to do an amazing amount of things--some cool but not totally necessary, while others are incredibly innovative!
The coolest feature that is unnecessary but pretty neat is the lighting scheme. There's a lot to choose from through the hub, from 'random waves' of light to a stationary color of your choosing (and there's almost too many to choose from). Neat, but won't really affect your gaming haha.
The other features, however, are pretty amazing. The DPI is adjustable all the way up to 3200!! That is crazy precise, but also a fairly standard feature in gaming mice these days. What isn't standard but is very cool is the adjustable "DPI Shift" button! You can pre-set it for a specific sensitivity for games that have that one crazy moment where you need it to be ultra-sensitive. The best part is, it works REALLY well!
Going hand in hand with that is the 'profile' settings that can be saved to the mouse itself! You can save up to five specific profiles and recall them whenever you need to! It makes changing from one game to another very fast, as you don't have to go through and change each individual setting on the mouse. Of course the other buttons are programmable (almost always a feature of gaming mice these days) but having the ability to change them all 'on the fly' with the press of a button is amazing!
The wheel is sold as an "ultrafast wheel" and it lives up to it. It's got a satisfying 'click' when you scroll, but even with that the wheel is probably the fastest I've used.
This is a wireless mouse, but it also comes with a very long, braided wire for charging or for using--either while you charge, or (my preference) all the time. The mouse is very responsive either way. I barely registered a difference with or without the wire. Maybe just a millisecond slower when using it wireless, but that might just be my brain trying to convince me there's a difference. Personally I have so many dongles right now, and such a bad track record for losing them, that I really appreciate you can use this mouse either way. The cord is easily replaceable as it's a standard cord...in my experience the dongles are not so easy to replace.
If you are looking for a great gaming mouse with a TON of useful features you can't go wrong with this one--whether you prefer wired or wireless. In a word, this is quite possibly the best gaming mouse I've ever used!

This is a great mouse for gaming or even just for working. It suits all my needs and has some awesome functions that my other basic mouse didn’t have.
The mouse connects via a USB A dongle and does not have BlueTooth. Windows and Mac will let it function like a normal mouse once you plug it in, but you need to download the Logitech G Hub for the more advanced features. Installing the software was easy and I didn’t have any problems with the install. Charging the mouse is done with a USB A to USB C cable.
The G Hub software does make it easy to set your functions. The Hub allows you to create different profiles so that you can assign them easily with the G Hub app. One awesome feature is the ability to switch it to on board mode which stores your settings on the device instead of having to connect with the G Hub to change anything. I currently have this off, but nice to know this feature is here.
Settings with the software include changing your DPI settings where you can adjust the DPI and even remove the settings that you don’t want. By default, the profile that comes with the mouse has 800, 1200, 1600, 2400, and 3200 DPI. You can only set a maximum of 5 speeds total on the mouse.
Assigments allows you to customize the mouse with Windows/Mac commands, Keys, Actions for Discord, Overworld, and OBS, Macros, and System settings for launching applications. I admittedly didn’t use too many of these advanced features, mainly just the OS commands. If you had these options on another gaming mouse, you should be able to use them here.
You can change the Lightsync LED to specific colors, animations, brightness, and this will also display your battery life once you change these settings. Even with adjusting the brightness down to a much lower setting the LEDs are still bright enough. There are a few animations like Breathing, Pulsar Point, Ocean Wave, Color Wave, and even a fixed color setting if you don’t want anything highly animated. Obviously these settings will affect the battery life, so for you this will vary.
Settings in the G Hub include power consumption and how long it will take for the mouse to full charge. Here you can also check for firmware updates along with an inactivity light setting when the mouse is idle.
The scroll wheel took a little getting used to for me because it is much faster compared to my other mouse. You can click a button to give it a mechanical scroll which I prefer not to use, but have for certain situations where I wanted to be mindful of my scrolling.
Overall, I am very happy with this mouse. The clicks of the mouse button don’t sound like you’re clicking on a toy and is overall quieter than my other regular mouse. It’s not too loud and not too quiet. I’ve had this mouse for about 5 days and still have plenty of battery power left. You can still use the mouse when it’s charging as well, which is another plus in my opinion.

I love this mouse, super comfortable to use for long periods of time. Battery life is fantastic, can customize display colors which is fun. Very responsive, and plenty of additional customization options through the Logitech G Hub app. I really can’t say enough good things about this mouse.

Im a big time gamer gaming on average 10 hours a day. Ive been looking for a solid mouse for a week or so and was very skeptical with using wireless gaming mouses. as well as the size of it since i have very large hands. After the first day using it and mapping the mouse keybinds to my liking the mouse is perfect. 26k DPI is a little overkill for me but this very soild and well built and very smooth, gliding across my mousepad. Exactly what i was looking for with its customization with game specific settings and lua scripting capabilities in the logitech G Hub app. It fit my hand very well being that i do have large hands after disabling the large side mouse button seeing that i fat fingered it alot. The battery life is insane. The first week using it after a full charge it was at 64% still. Rarely have to charge it at all. Very impressed with the feel of it and how solid it feels in my hand.
