Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the G512 SE's excellent build quality, satisfying clicky keys, and customizable RGB backlighting as significant strengths. Many appreciate the keyboard's ease of use and consider it a great value for its price, particularly when on sale. However, some users find the keyboard noisy, and a few have expressed dissatisfaction with the accompanying software. The included USB passthrough port is also a frequently mentioned positive feature.

Good mechanical keyboard with lots of RGB functions. Has audio keys, lighting effects key (to toggle through different presets), and the keys function just as you’d imagine. Very loud click sounds when typing. Can be customizable through the Logitech App

Really good mechanical keyboard. I am using it for daily work and light gaming. Responsive. Clicks are a little loud, but reasonable. Lighting customizabilty is adequate for my purpose. For the sale price form a couple a weeks ago this is an awesome deal.

What impressed me most is the excellent build quality. I don't know if this keyboard would be worth MSRP but it seems to go on sale quite a bit. Keep in mind the keyboard is loud, unapologetically loud, but the typing experience is unparalleled

I liked this keyboard it had software for changing settings, but also could be done with F keys. Unfortunately you had to reset them every time you turned on the pc. I had purchased for my work laptop where I could not install the software so resetting each day was annoying. Other than that for someone who could use the software it is an excellent keyboard.

Keyboard feels great, make sure you are looking for a clicky feel to your keys, because this definitely lets you know you have pushed it. I love the definitive feel of mechanical keyboards. I use for gaming and typing. The only con I give it is the limited RGB options if you are NOT going to download the software. If you are, then consider it 5 stars. You will need to use G Hub, as the older software is only available in Japanese.

TL;DR: if it's $50 dollars, I recommend it. Otherwise, at $150, it's a hard sell. Pros: Clicky keys, good feel Cons: usually high priced, thick USB cable. This keyboard took me by surprise, albiet a bit of a delayed reaction as I was a bit underwhelmed at first. As a keyboard, even though it has a USB on the back, the cable is very thick. If you have a tight desk set up, it may be hard to tuck away the cable somewhere. The aluminum build is a decent quality in comparison to the K120 that was before it. Once I installed and powered up the G Hub software, the amount of customization is quite generous. The click and feedback of the keys are quite satisfying as well. If you want a good intro to the mechanical keyboard space, this is a top contender. I don't recommend it if it's at it's premium retail price of $150, but for $50, it drops into a very competitive price margin and you should consider it.

I got this on sale and it was a steal for $50. Never had a mechanical keyboard so this is very satisfying to use. The Logitech software took a little bit to get to recognize the keyboard but got it working. Overall great purchase and happy with the quality.

Enjoyable clicky keyboard. Typing experience is great compared to my previous linear switch keyboard. I do wish the rgb could be changed without software. It is not louder than the sound I make bottoming out linear keyboards.

I've been using this since Christmas and have had no issue. The software download for RGB setup was easy and syncs with the Logitech gaming mouse I have as well. The mechanical keys have that nice tactile feel to them and every hit feels complete.

Very good option for gaming. The MX Blue switches sound and feel nice and the build is good. There is a good amount of customization options in Logitech G Hub. Although I don't use the keypad, it is still a good option.

I had a great time with this board for a few months, Loved it until the E-Key started to double type. The quality is good and solid and it can take a hit for sure. The lack of extras kinda bummed me out but I had gotten used to it. Typing was great because they made a wonderful clicking sound. Looked great with the hyperX key caps.

Very nice build quality and the generic blue switches are quite good so far. Would have liked it a bit more if the keycaps didn't need to be illuminated to see what you are pressing. Otherwise, no issues other than Logitech Ghub being a little confusing to set up color patterns, with no onboard memory other than a solid color.

So normally I wouldn’t go for a Logitech keyboard due to the simply fact that the keys always feel mushy to me but I had a Best Buy gift card and I do LOVE their mouses so I gave it a shot and I’ve been using it for over a year now and I have to say that the customization the software gives AND the way the switches on this keyboard feels it’s honestly worth every penny I did get it discounted on Christmas which made it even more worth it. 8/10 I’m docking points only because some keys won’t register unless u press down hard but that could just be my specific board being messed up on shipping but it isn’t too noticeable where I had to send it back it’s only on rare occasions

The keyboard functions and looks great. It would be nice if there were individual media buttons instead of having to use the FN key, but I don't think that is worth downplaying its greatness.
