    Great speakers, ok software

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

First off, holy crap are these speakers loud. But not only loud, they sound great. The bass is powerful but not overwhelming. I also like that it uses USB. It has the option for 3.5mm or bluetooth but I havent tried them. Sound quality gets a 5/5. The lighting is awesome. I use the audio visualizer by default, since I listen music whenever I'm not gaming and it's amazing. Syncs to music perfectly. I use the screen sampling while playing certain games and it's insane how well It works and how fast the colors update from the screen. It just works. You have to experience it in person. You can select which games you want to screen sample in specific profiles. Which turn on automatically when you open the game(s) you selected. Certain games have their own profiles for special lighting effects. Like turning red when your health is low. Which is cool. But I dont really play any of the supported games. But I knew that before hand so I didnt care. I mainly got it for the visualizer and screen sampling, and they work great. Lights are bright without being overwhelming. And you can lower them or turn them off if youd like. Screen sampling works fine on my 3440x1440 ultrawide. Would probably be better on a desk against a flat wall as opposed to a corner like mine but they still look awesome. Picture doesnt do justice My only gripe with these is the software. Personally, I say dont upgrade the firmware to 122.2.22. The sound quality took a nosedive. Leave it at version 122.1.21. Bass became nearly non existant. Sound quality felt flat. Luckily if you do update, u can downgrade by getting the old firmware installer. That being said, I'm happy with my older firmware. Secondly, there are 2 different software sites to use. Logitech Gaming Software (LGS) and G Hub. Personally, I think G Hub was God awful for setting these up. Overly simplified and far less detailed options to configure the lighting. Creating and editing profiles felt like a chore. Everything just felt hidden in sub menus. LGS had more options it seems, although a little less intuitive. Everything was out in the open. A little messy and overwhelming at first glance, but I like being able to see everything without searching through menus and options. A mixture of the 2 would be perfect. I got the software set up to do what I want, just think it can be improved. Lastly, I wish the lighting turned off when the pc shuts down, but since they use external power from the wall, the lights stay on until you power them down. Clicking a button isnt the end of the world, but having it turn off automatically would be nice. The software has an option to turn them off after X minutes of no use but It didnt seem to turn off. Or I was being impatient. Overall, I love these speakers. Having been on the fence about buying since the released, im actually happy my other speakers died and I gave in and got these. Worth the money and they sound amazing. Lighting is amazing. Far more than a gimmick. Software and firmware issues take 1 star off. (The pic shown was not showing the screen sampling FYI)

    Good Speaker System

I like the speaker system. I have owned it for about a month, and right out of the box, hookup to my PS5 was easy. The speakers look smaller in the ads but still occupy very little space on a desk. They are the size of large grapefruits. The subwoofer is a nice feature, but I had to connect to a PC to find the perfect sound. The process was fairly simple. I thought the RGB lights would add to the immersion, but that has not been the case for me. You have more control of the lights when the speakers are connected to the PC. When connected to the PS5 you can only modify how bright or power off. The speaker's system, if fine-tuned, is immersive. The immersion finally led me to complete a few games that I had started but never finished. The speakers feel fairly solid and are easy on the eyes. The price was $199 when I purchased it, but I have seen them as low as $181. Volume can get loud, with no distortion. You are also able to connect a headset through the speaker with an aux cable. Bluetooth works well with cellphones and TVs, and a cool feature is that you can listen to multiple media through the speaker system simultaneously. I hope this helps your decision.

Sound sucks out of the box, but is easy to fix

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The primary reason I bought these is because I have very limited space on my desk and wanted a lower profile speaker that could sit below/behind my monitor. Most computer speakers are in a more vertical orientation and looked bad or were blocked by the bottom of my monitor. This set fits just right and looks good on my desk to boot. Out of the box, the sound on these sucks. It's muddy, with mid-range being way too up front and the highs way too muted. But unlike other Logitech 2.1 systems, the 10-band equalizer makes easy work of that. Pull the mid out, push the highs and give a small boost to the mid-lows, and it sounds good. The bass is also not overpowering at all, unlike other Logitech 2.1 systems I've tried, and has a nice balance out of the box. I can see how some people would want more 'powerful' bass, but being an upper floor apartment dweller with a wife who is sensitive to bass, the more balanced bass is welcome. I can always crank it up if I really want to, but it runs the risk of getting muddy. I thought the lights with screen sampling would be gimmicky, and they are. But it's fun and I really love it. The big drawback is that the software is incapable of recognizing what's on the screen when your game is in fullscreen mode. You must play in windowed mode for it to work (this may be updated in the future but at the time of writing this review on 07/14/20 the screen sampling does not work with full screen apps). Otherwise, the lights are bright, but not overpowering, do a good enough job recreating the colors on screen (which will be different from panel to panel), and are responsive enough that the small lag isn't bothersome unless you're playing very fast paced games. While I haven't played any high demanding AAA titles with the screen sampling enabled, I haven't seen any drops in performance using it playing titles like WoW, the Batman Arkham games, Dying Light, and Jedi Fallen Order. For reference, here is my machine: Ryzen 5 3600 EVGA RTX 2070 Black 16GB DDR4 3200 RAM MSI B450 Tomahawk Max All in all, it's a good system if you aren't bothered by the pricetag. You can get far superior sound for a similar price, but the form factor was the right one for me and all in all I'm quite pleased with their overall performance. They sound good enough, look nice, and while the software has opportunities for improvement it more or less works as intended.

I was looking for a new set of PC speakers because port to my left speaker died on me. I wanted better quality and something with RGB that could sync with my games so I decided on the Logitech G560. The sound is fantastic with my games and the Logitech app gives me the ability to manage both my speakers and Logitech mouse lighting which is great. If you're looking to upgrade from run of the mill PC speakers I highly recommend these, especially if you're a gamer!

Solid speakers with a subwoofer! I've been using these speakers for the past 5 years and they still hold up well. They can be used for bluetooth or via your computer connections. The Logitech software can get finnicky at times, but it's still being updated to this day, offering numerous lightning and sound profiles towards what you need. You can also set up your own lighting and sound profile with them. I highly recommend. (They're also sturdy! They've been through 6 moves without issue.)

Waited to review these for about a month of use. The various settings within the Logitech hub makes customizing the sound quality so universal... You can change every setting with these. And in every setting they are amazing. The surround setting is weird... But even saying that, I use it.. I don't get the surround effect but I like the way it sounds.. the bass is heavy.. adjustable only with surround setting on though. The LED effects are great... I have my set up in a 3-wall inlet in my office so my LED speakers project onto the 2 side walls so it really amplifies the effect. I use the lightspeed mouse and keyboard too and they're all synced up. It's quite the experience... Overall these are awesome , with rap, dubstep, heavy metal, any video game. Movies. YouTube videos. Overall great. Highly recommend if you want to spend the salad on them.. they're pricy but worth it in my opinion.

These speakers sound pretty good, but I imagine the entire selling point of it is the customizable RGB lighting via the G-Hub pc app, which can sometimes be a little finicky. Personally on that front I do like it however I spend so much time adjusting the lighting to match my other peripherals that it can be very distracting and a bit much for just gaming speakers. I’m no audiophile (nor do I know a whole lot about audio in general) but personally I can really feel the bass frequency(?) coming through the subwoofer that I personally have to lower it, but it’s only my personal preference. Otherwise it’s still a really good set of speakers (which I need because my excessive use of headphones physically hurt me recently).

Bought these speakers as an upgrade to my old Altec 5.1 speakers. Straight out of the box, easy to set up; nothing special needed for windows 10... simple plug n play. Enough power to fill an office, although I did boost the base in my sound settings a bit. I connected wireless to my PC, but the system has the added flexibility to plug in through usb. Keep in mind that the speakers do connect to the base so it’s not 100% wireless set up. Not docking them for that in the review as I knew that going in. last but not least, while the rgb wasn’t all that important it is pretty cool. And the unit has easy controls to modify and turn completely off. Well done! Highly recommend.

The sound quality is very good which is the main thing about speakers of course. The primary reason I chose these is that I needed a speaker system for my laptop that could connect via USB instead of the a headphone jack because my laptop only has USBC ports. I had used an adapter that kept introducing static. I was also hoping that cable management would be better than my old speakers. First thing I noticed is that the satellites connect to the sub using bulky old cables that look like the old serial cables. Then when I went to connect the sub to my docking station, I saw that the sub has micro USB instead of C. It was then I realized that this model is pretty ancient. So I used a USBA cable to micro USB to connect the speakers. Everything works fine and the sound is great. Build quality seems good so I will probably use these for 10 years like I did my last set.

I bought these to replace my old Dell (Altec Lansing) speakers with the ginormous sub and outdated cables/plugs. Which rocked the house by way... Read several of the reviews and found these on sale at BB. I was looking for a replacement system for my outdated 5.1 system, since I was only using the fronts and sub anyway. I saw the RGB on these and decided to check em out. Set up was easy and I found the GHub to functional, but was looking for a little more control over the settings. The RGB can be set to change colors, pulse with music or sound or be static as well. I really like the RGB used as backlighting for my monitor. At first, I could tell the sound was not as robust and complex as my old speakers. It not bad by any means, I could just tell a big difference. If you are using these in an office or small room they will be more than adequate. I find the simulated surround sound was minimal at best. For gaming and music they are fine, but I was really looking to hear directional footsteps and discernable detailed sound. That is expecting a lot from 2.1 system, but I have a soundbar speaker which does a really good job of simulated surround. The Bluetooth feature is nice to connect multiple devices. Upon installing these speakers, I have a random issue where my Asus monitor blacks out in-game (CODMW) when I adjust the volume. It is only for a couple seconds but very annoying. I just started researching it and it may a Windows issue. I'm using Windows 10 Pro V1909. I am still looking further into this. With the overall decent sound and kewl RGB, barring the screen issue, I am very happy with purchase at the sale price.

I bought these to replace some $40 Logitech speakers I purchased years ago. I’m not an audiophile, but these speakers were a major upgrade for me. The Bluetooth is nice and you can link it your pc and phone. The rgb is a nice added touch, and actually synchronizes with the sound when I’m gaming. The cords for the speakers are very thick and are of great quality. The subwoofer is fairly large, but sits nicely under my desk. If you have the SteelSeries arctics nova pro with the game dac, you can connect the speakers with a 3.5mm cable to the aux port and to the subwoofer. I had to purchase a 3.5mm cable, as it did not come with one. This enables me to hear sound through the speakers for my Xbox series x and pc. It automatically switches between the two, as to which one I’m using. These speakers have awesome sound and I’m hearing things I haven’t heard before. I was able to price match for $156, so that pretty much did it for me.

Great speakers for PC gaming and multi media. They look great, and are super easy to set up. They are also not too large with only 3 wires to set up which makes positioning and set up nice and neat. The virtual surround works reasonably well for a 2 speaker + sub setup. The only part that isn't great out of the box is use for music, however, this can be improved by setting up a custom EQ to get the sound where you like it. Overall I'm pretty pleased with this set up for the price, as I do use these hooked up to my gaming PC.

Absolutely love these things. Took a while to finally find a 2.1 setup that was aesthetically pleasing with my station setup. They're sleek, and the RBG setup is rad. They're bright, loud, and pretty customizable. A lot of reviews I read from previous years, they complained about Ghub. It seems to have all the kind worked out now. Just make sure to download all of the Logi software needed so your USB ports don't yell at you.

Yeah pretty loud and great sound quality. It can rock the room and parts of the house but its not going to shatter the car windows. Its a very good use to 240w of power. I love RGB Lighting, its pretty bright. I do wish the back lights for the wall were even brighter. They are bright enough, thats not the issue, its just kind of a why not thing. I rather turn brightness down then not have option to go crazy with it.

Definitely purchased these on an impulse buy. Being that these are not the newest desk speakers on the scene I did not expect these to be as good as they are. The bass is deep and punchy and highs are clear. I was quite surprised by these all together. Coupled along with the Logitech app it offers more customizability with the RGBs and the sound profile. These were a great pickup. At this price point I don't think you'll find anything better to pump sound out while playing a game or watching a movie.

I found it hard to splurge on $200 speakers for a computer when I could get something similar for $80. I reviewed a number of Logitech computer speakers to these, but kept coming back to one feature: bluetooth. The G560 has LED lights and more power than its Logitech competition, but those weren't a big deal to me. In fact, they seemed a bit gimmicky. These speakers are designed for gamers and I don't game at all; not on my Mac, not on a PS4 or any other console for that matter. The Z537 has bluetooth also, and it runs $130 direct from Logitech, but it doesn't have the same power. It also doesn't have great reviews, nor can it be connected to a TV, DVD player, or other media. It's designed for computers only. I work from home and I stream music and TV from my iPad for hours a day, so I wanted bluetooth speakers that could connect to it via Bluetooth. I also wanted flexibility to connect with other devices besides my computer. The G560s offered me that. I don't hate the lights, but I could certainly do without them. They sound great, but they don't have a control knob or manual bass adjustment like the Z537s. Overall I'm happy with the G560s quality and flexibility. The downside to these speakers is the Logitech software. It leaves a bit to be desired. You can really customize these things, from the equalizer down to the lights that are on (there are 4 of them total) and what colors they are. Unfortunately, it isn't terribly intuitive. Many reviews state that the software on a PC is a bit easier to work with than a Mac, but I can't speak to that. If you're a gamer, you're into the lights, and don't mind the lack of manual controls, these are a good buy. Even with the software limitations I'm sold on them. Good quality sound and the bluetooth connectivity are definitely more important to me than the software. I'd buy them again, and I'd certainly recommend friends consider them if they're looking for new speakers.
